## What is Primer Homeschool App?

Plan, track, and celebrate your family's learning journey — beautifully.

Primer is a homeschool planner built for the rhythm of a real family. One weekly grid shows every child, every subject, every day. A warm "Today" dashboard greets you each morning with what's ready, what's carried over, and what's worth celebrating.

PLAN THE WEEK
• Generate next week's assignments from your subject schedules in seconds — fixed days, frequency targets, or external classes
• Save a great week as a template you can replay all year
• Sunday "Plan Next Week" and Friday "Week Review" rituals built right in

TRACK EVERY CHILD
• Calendar views from a single day to a full year — drag and drop to reshuffle
• Per-child progress rings for each curriculum
• A gentle evening wrap-up surfaces what's incomplete with one-tap "Roll Over to Tomorrow" and "Mark All Complete"

REMEMBER THE MOMENTS
• Daily journal captures the small wins — breakthrough lessons, favorite reads, proud moments
• Attach photos and tags to find any memory later
• A Friday week-review collects one reflection per child

ORGANIZE YOUR LIBRARY
• Save every link, PDF, video, and note in one place
• File by subject, child, or curriculum — track resources from inbox to planned to used

DESIGNED FOR THE FAMILY
• Two-parent and multi-device sharing with your Primer account — both phones, the iPad, your Mac, and the web stay in sync
• Household sharing lets a co-parent see and edit the same plan
• Beautiful typography, warm earth-tone palette, and dark mode

QUIET, FAST, RESPECTFUL
• No ads, no trackers — your family's data stays private to your household
• Works fully offline — plan, check off, journal and log hours with no signal; everything syncs when you reconnect
• Print or export any week to PDF for the binder

Designed and made by a homeschool family.

### 5/5 — Looking forward to trying this out for the school year

*2026-06-15*

This planner is well organized and exactly what I was looking for. I have always been a pen and paper planner keeper, but when it comes to tracking my kids school things long term, I thought keeping digital records could be nice. Plus I just finally got a MacBook so I’m going to give this a try since it’s such a great layout on the computer. I still can’t seem to cloud sync my computer planner to my phone but the developer has been so kind and helpful at keeping me updated when changes are being made. I highly recommend this planner for homeschool parents.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-19

Primer now works completely offline — and every device runs the same Primer.

• Full offline planning. Open Primer on a plane, at a co-op, or anywhere with no signal. Plan the week, check off work, write journal entries and log hours — it all syncs the moment you're back online.
• Offline undo. Step back through your recent changes whether or not you're connected.
• A pending badge shows anything still waiting to sync, so you always know where your work stands.
• Faster launches. Primer opens from its own cache instead of waiting on the network.
• One Primer everywhere. iPhone, iPad, Mac and the web now share the same planner, so an improvement lands on every device at once.
• Edge-to-edge on modern iPhones, with the tab bar and buttons clear of the home indicator.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-07-23

Primer just got a big polish pass — faster, calmer, and safer to edit.

• Undo history — review recent changes and roll back any step, synced across your devices.
• Batch editing — select several assignments and move, complete, or delete them at once, or drag the whole group to another day or child.
• Scheduled-subject slots — the days you set for each subject now appear as gentle placeholders, so nothing slips through.
• Smoother throughout — one consistent animation feel, a more satisfying moment when you finish a task, and quicker inline editing that saves when you click away.
• Faster capture — keyboard shortcuts on the weekly board, keep-adding quick entry, and natural-language dates like "next Monday."
• Better printing — weekly-grid titles wrap to fit, optional assignment notes, and a portrait detailed list.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-07-03

A big polish release — Primer feels better in your hands everywhere:

• Completing an assignment is now a little moment of joy: a springy checkmark, a strike-through, and your day's progress ring fills (optional soft completion sound in Settings)
• Tap any assignment card to edit it right in place — title, notes, and estimated minutes
• Editing a day gives it room: that day gently expands while the rest of the week steps aside
• Weekly progress rings for each child, right on their name bar
• Quick date chips when adding an assignment: Today · Tomorrow · Next week
• Select multiple assignments to complete, move, or delete them in one pass
• Print a detailed per-day list of the week, including assignment notes
• Big performance work under the hood: scrolling, dragging, and editing are dramatically smoother

Plus many small fixes and refinements throughout.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-05-29

- Kanban Style Drag-and-drop in the weekly view
- Drag assignments to a different day in the daily view
- Fixed a few iCloud sync bugs.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-05-23

Sharing your homeschool with a co-parent is now easier and more secure:
• Invite by Apple Account - enter a spouse's email or phone number; no more share links to copy or expire.
• Choose each person's access: Full Access (can edit) or View Only.
• Remove individual participants without affecting the rest of your household.
Plus stability improvements under the hood. Thanks for using Primer!
