## What is Primo?

Primo counts backward from every occasion to build a personalized action plan — calibrated to how much each relationship means to you.

Add the people you care about, set their important dates, and Primo does the rest. Its reverse-timeline engine counts backward from each event to generate a detailed plan: when to start brainstorming, when to buy the gift, when to make the reservation, and when to send the message.

KEY FEATURES

• Reverse-Timeline Planning
Every occasion gets a step-by-step action plan that counts backward from the date. Items are grouped by week with due dates, categories, and priorities so nothing falls through the cracks.

• 4 Levels of Effort
Not every relationship needs the same effort. Pick All Out, Thoughtful, Simple Gesture, or Acknowledge — Primo starts reminders earlier and builds a deeper plan for the people who matter most.

• AI-Powered Gift Suggestions
Get personalized gift ideas powered by Apple Intelligence, running entirely on your device. Primo considers interests, relationship type, past gifts, and what worked before. Rate suggestions to improve future recommendations.

• Message Drafting
Draft personalized messages for any occasion with tone and length controls. Copy or share directly from the app.

• Gift Tracking & Insights
Log every gift with cost and reaction. See what landed, spot patterns across years, and gift smarter next time.

• Budget Tracking
Set a budget for any occasion and watch spending add up — see what's left before you overspend.

• Smart Calendar Import
Import birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and more from your device calendar. Primo recognizes event types and even figures out shared occasions like "Amy and Jim's anniversary."

• Holiday Manager
Select which holidays matter to you. Primo creates occasions and starts the plan weeks before each one.

• Notifications That Help
Reminders tuned to how much each person matters — from a 2-day heads-up for your partner's birthday to a morning-of nudge for a coworker's.

• Share Your Plans
Share occasion plans as a text checklist or celebration card image.

• Backup & Restore
Export your data to a file and import it anywhere. Your data stays yours.

PRIVACY FIRST

Primo stores everything on your device. No accounts. No cloud sync. No tracking. No analytics. AI suggestions run on-device via Apple Intelligence, so your personal data stays on your iPhone. If you choose to Bring Your Own Key (BYOK), your key stays in the iOS Keychain and only planning details — the relationship, engagement level, interests you listed, budget, occasion type and the tone you pick for a message — go to the AI provider whose key you added; never names, notes or tasks you wrote yourself.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.2.2 — 2026-10-15

Primo now gets you to a real plan in your first minute.
• Add your first person's birthday during setup and Primo builds their plan right away. Get Started shows the first steps and when each one is due.
• Added someone without a birthday? Home offers to add it in one tap.
• Move an occasion earlier and any step that would fall in the past lands on today, with its reminder.
• In dark mode, plans, people, tasks and every form sit on Primo's navy cards.
• At the largest text sizes, every screen wraps cleanly, with no words broken across lines.
• On iPhone SE, the price and subscribe button stay in view.

### 2.2.1 — 2026-10-07

Plans reads better at large text sizes and on iPhone Duo held upright.
• At the largest text sizes, each occasion in Plans shows its type, person and countdown on a line below its name — no more words broken across lines.
• On iPhone Duo held upright, tapping an occasion opens its plan full width, as on iPhone. Turn it sideways for your occasions and plan side by side — Primo keeps your place either way.

### 2.2.0 — 2026-10-06

Primo opens up on iPhone Duo.
• Unfold and Plans spreads out: your upcoming occasions on one side, the plan you pick on the other — with its next step, Mark Done and notes right there.
• Fold or unfold mid-plan and Primo keeps your place.
• Home shows what's up next, and People, Settings and Gift History read in a comfortable column on the wide screen.
• Fixes for iOS 27: the API key setup, idea editing, plan review and backup sharing screens open with the right content every time.
• Tasks and occasions on the same day keep their order, and the occasion summary fits smaller screens.

### 2.1.5 — 2026-09-26

Reminders you can count on. This update rebuilds how Primo keeps you on track:
• New: Discreet Reminders. Names and occasions stay off your Lock Screen, so a surprise stays a surprise.
• Pick the time of day your reminders arrive.
• Travelling? Due dates and reminders stay on the right day in any time zone.
• Tap a widget to open the plan it shows, or ask Siri what's coming up.
• Events that have passed wait in Needs Wrap-Up, one tap from done — and a new occasion opens the moment you save it.
• Reminders now arrive for every birthday and recurring occasion, year after year — not just the first.
• Tapping a reminder opens its plan, and Mark as Done and Snooze work right from the notification.
• Reminders come in the morning instead of at midnight, and stop the moment you finish a task.
• Turning notifications off in Primo now really turns them off.
• Each year gets one fresh plan when planning opens — no duplicates, no stale leftovers. Changed your mind after "Don't Plan This"? Plan It Now is one tap away.
• Changing a date moves its plan and reminders with it, and Mother's Day, Thanksgiving and Easter land on the right day every year.
• Backups restore everything — gift dates, notes, reminders — without doubling a thing.
• Gift history is always a tap away, and gifts from shared holidays land with the right person.
• Easier to read in Dark Mode, gentler with Reduce Motion, plus dozens of smaller fixes.

### 2.1.4 — 2026-05-25

Smarter, faster, more accessible. Floating holidays (Thanksgiving, Mother's Day, Easter) compute year-specific dates. Onboarding now lets you pick your region for accurate holidays, supports an optional birthday for your first person, and groups calendar matches by confidence. Settings exposes a rich Notification Preferences screen, a Profile name editor, and a default budget editor. People list shows avatar photos or initials chips; Add and Edit forms get a chip/token interest input and a Love Language picker. Gift history adds locale-driven currency, stable sorting, and a single canonical timestamp. Timeline gains a share preview before sending, lifecycle-bound confetti, and proper accessibility values on every progress bar. Pro purchase consolidates two alerts into one so success/error states never race. Plus dozens of micro-polish fixes — every interactive button announces context, decorative emoji are hidden from VoiceOver, currency renders in your locale across every cost surface, and the paywall closes automatically once your purchase is recognized.
