Without it you can’t easily track how the changes to certain investments on certain dates are doing. I’m being logged out and unenrolled from Face ID multiple times per week, have to go through MFA to relog every time. To check if my recent paycheck contribution posted I have to navigate through 4 different screens. I should be able to see all that at a glance. The code takes forever to send so I end up being timed out of the app before even getting the code. Do better! ### 1/5 — Worst UX I’ve encountered *2026-07-17, version 4.0.64* I have to imagine that the people at Principal either utterly despise their customers and are intentionally creating horrendous experiences, or they have no idea what a 401k actually is, and therefore are arbitrarily guessing at what might be needed or wanted. Want to see your detailed balances, account breakdowns, price changes? Hahahaha, that’s not gonna happen. Successfully implementing basic authentication? Nope, not that either. I wish my company would fire them as our 401k provider. Honestly, these people should go look at literally any other banking app and copy the basics. When it’s your Money they find reasons to keep investing even when you need a disbursement or a loan. Time frames are way off from one thing they say to the next thing.!I have a screenshot show from a email from Principal saying I will receive a deposit in 3 days now I’m told a lot longer to receive that money. Meanwhile the amount can lose value from then original request but then they say it’s still invested. Like it can gain as well I’ve done the math in the time frame it’s lost a lot not gain..
