This is not an issue with Appfolio but sadly that’s not an option for my properties. ### 1/5 — Was bad, now worse *2024-12-17* The most recent update is absolutely horrible. The app was barely tolerable, but now it is an entirely new design with all previous features hidden under piles of menus. Almost. ### 1/5 — How can this app be so bad. *2024-01-27* The UI is bad. The uploading of information is bad. The loading of current properties is bad. The submission of inspections fails badly. The forms filled out do not always save, bad. The desktop web application is just as bad. You have fortune 10 companies using your system and it’s so slow on the website and the application. There is a reason this app has a 2.1 star review. People have no choice but to deal with it and not enough changes are being made to make this app any better than it was 6 months ago. It’s 2024. Update the UI to be more finger friendly, fix the pre-cache issues, make the website move faster. ### 1/5 — Dark mode. *2024-01-19* Please bring it. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2023-12-13* Building Engines was garbage, Prism aka BE 2.0 is garbage. This is the only app I’ve ever used that does not show a badge, or red notification dot on the app when anything has been updated, commented, or a new work order has come through. The app takes forever to load and asks me every. single. time. if I want to download my work orders for offline work. No. No. No. I do not want to ever work off line so please stop asking me that. When I add a comment to message back and forth with the tenants, they never receive the message. It doesn’t matter if I toggle the “Hide from tenant” check box on or off, it doesn’t share the message with them. I finally figured this out by using the app and online at the same time. I could go on and on about the issues with this app. It’s no better than Building Engines, and I actually believe it’s worse. ### 1/5 — Prism User *2023-09-25, version 2.0.20* While I was hoping for a better experience than the original building engines I got an good looking updated app, that’s performance is consistently disappointing. It used to work now it’s all messed up, having to periodically check constantly for new work orders , please fix ### 1/5 — Stop Making It Worse *2026-06-24, version 4.3.0* The app continues to receive updates that make the UX more and more difficult to use. Notifications rarely work, the “hide comment from tenant” option is now defaulted on again. STOP IT! Just make the app work. Open it, takes forever to load then just closes out on itself. Cant see work orders, PMs or anything ever anymore. I am having to delete the app from my phone completely on a regular basis because work orders won’t show up or the work orders won’t record the information you’re trying to use. It’s a work order app. The work orders show up. You do them. Then be on your way. Now all of a sudden I’m told I need to assign all wo to myself the reading to the vendor. Ridiculous. There’s always one or more silly issues like this. Prism does not make management more efficient in any way… ### 2/5 — updates *2024-12-18, version 3.9* 1) why do developers insist on fixing things not broken and not fixing things that are. 2) the selection screen detail/ labor and materials/ history no longer fit on one screen. In fact you can only see his on the history good morning. 3) the layout is horrendous. 4) would like to be able to save it so m filters are saved on my profile.
