This is the second app I ordered from this developer. It works great as the app Private Pilot Course - Ground Portion does.  I have to say, it never dissapoints me. Just love it. Waiting for more valuable apps coming up.

This app takes up 1.2GB of space, which is far too much for the length of video. It is also overpriced. Much of the content is available free on YouTube. Shrink it to < 400MB and drop the price and this a 4-5 star app (rather than a 2-3 star app).

### 5/5 — An Investment that May Save you Several Hundred Dollars = This App

I am a newly certificated Private Pilot.  I bought this app about a week before my check ride because my instructor told me that watching these videos would save me money that I would otherwise be paying for plane rental and instructor time.

Let's face it, you only need your instructor to show you these maneuvers in the actual plane 1 time. Anything after that is a waste of money.  The problem is, you may not remember how to execute the maneuvers perfectly after just one time.  That is why you can watch these videos repeatedly until you have them down cold.

If you combine this app with something like Microsoft Flight Simulator or X-Plane, then you will get more out of it than just watching the videos, and chances are real good that you will execute the maneuvers flawlessly on your practical test.

I can't say enough about how the content of this app translates directly to the material covered in the practical test (private pilot check ride).

If you are like me, you probably have already invested in some other training materials and probably lots of them.  If you are wondering why you need yet another piece of material to get yourself ready, Imagine flunking your expensive check ride which is a high-stress experience and the imagine yourself having to get re-trained on the maneuvers covered in this app.

The only thing that this app does not have that I wish it did, are summary bullet points at the end of the videos that would provide a maneuver checklist of sorts.  However, you can and should easily make your own just by watching the videos and taking some notes.

This app was a force multiplier for my training and saved me from having to schedule at least 3 more lessons.  So the investment in this app put me ahead more than $300 financially.

As a student pilot that also works full time this app has proven invaluable to prepare myself (and brush up on afterwards) for the concepts that my instructor teaches in the air. 

Because it's so concise and to the point the level of retention seems much higher than other training materials and the convenience of having it all in my pocket is unbeatable.  It works great with AirPlay too, so if I want to relax on the couch for a longer study session the HD videos make this a great option. 

Looking forward to even more video content and perhaps the PHAK in future  updates.

All the content you need, and only the content you need.  It is so nice to go through this material with out all the extra fluff that authors and producers usually feel they need to add.  

Instead of sometimes thinking "Do I really need to know this?", you will be thinking "If he is saying something, I need to know it".

If you were taught this way face to face, it would be information overload, but given that you can pause and replay at will, it is a fantastic approach.

Also, the content is loaded once, so you don't need an Internet connection to access it, and they kept it at 1.2gb.

As a student pilot, I use this video before every flight lesson. I was so prepared that I almost felt like my instructor didn’t even need to teach me. I just did what the video taught. I love the added bonus of the Airplane Flying Handbook and PTS which makes looking things up on my iPad easy. This is the most useful flight training video I have ever bought.
