I was very suspicious when I noted that the agent knew less than I did. I went immediately to the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority to report her and the company. She was immediately retrenched and my Offer to Purchase was cancelled. Buyer beware! Private Property should be regulating who is licensed and not, but they only post properties and do not care much about the legalities of licensing. ### 2/5 — Can’t search for anything on this app *2026-01-21, version 7.4.5* When i try to search for a house in a certain area the app doesn’t show anything. This can be a great app this problem is fixed. On the internet browser the website works just fine. ### 3/5 — App not searching *2026-01-08, version 7.4.5* App seem to be having issues, can’t search anymore, I have to keep deleting and reloading the app ### 2/5 — Terribly glitchy *2025-11-25, version 7.4.5* This app was working all right and now I can’t search for any properties no matter the area. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and it worked for all of 5 minutes before reverting back to the same problem. It’s a real shame because I was finding Private Property to be better than another site as far as listings are concerned but the app is rubbish. ### 3/5 — Lost favorites *2025-03-13, version 7.0.5* Love app and it’s new update but there has been a glitch, every listing I have favorited after the most recent update doesn’t save, it disappears every time I reopen the app. ### 3/5 — Listing date *2025-02-26, version 7.0.4* Can you include the property listing date. As buyers we want to know when was the listed and how long it has been in the market so that it can be easy for us to negotiate the prices with the seller and please make sure that the agent state property specifications correctly rate and taxes and Levis should be included in the advert because u find one property with different rates and Levis it confuse us. Please use the recent property pictures not the old one because what we see when we go view it’s a horror movie as to compare to the pictures on the advert mind you those pictures are the ones making us to set appointments for viewing. Please also have an option were one can report a property that they told us sold but still showing in the market ### 3/5 — Bring Back The Suburb Feed *2025-02-03, version 7.0.2* Please bring back the old format of looking for suburbs once in an area eg, if I search for Sandton, please show all Sandton suburbs the old way, I know we can search for them as well in the new app but it’s not as user friendly and doesn’t look as good ### 2/5 — Where did the feed go? *2025-01-31, version 7.0.2* I am really missing the feed feature where you can view all of the properties in one place instead of having to search for different areas each time. I would also prefer the option of getting alerts on the app and not on email. ### 2/5 — Disappointed in Update *2025-01-28, version 7.0.2* Notifications come through but when you click on it, it doesn’t take you to corresponding advert but blank home page. Link doesn’t work anymore. Very disappointing experience on new app now. So frustrating when using the app. Wish I never updated to latest version. Please fix this issue. I open a notification and am led to nothing? Searching will be easier if that’s the case ### 2/5 — Freezes all the time *2024-03-17, version 6.3.8* The app always freezes and it’s very difficult to search by province such as Gauteng etc. You always need to enter names of surbubs. When you trie it fails again and says it needs verification which doesn’t make sense . Why get asked for your bank card just to view houses online? ### 4/5 — Landscape view requested *2021-08-28, version 6.3.8* The application and content is great but please work on a landscape view mode, especially on Ipad. This feature will go a long way. ### 1/5 — Poor iPad, and Landscape Support *2021-01-06, version 6.3.8* Forget using this app on the iPad, it only works in portrait, that is just poor. Even right now as I type this, it is STILL loading. I don’t want to have to close the app and restart it multiple times to work ### 1/5 — Trash… *2026-01-21, version 7.4.5* The app now no longer allows you to search for properties by selecting an area (both from the search bar as well as the recent searches). Also created alerts and they just disappear. There is a bug where the favourite icon doesn’t highlight when you favourite a property until you leave the property page and then come back. It’s honestly just a poor performing app, and literally can’t be used to search for anything. No wonder people chose to use Property24 instead. ### 1/5 — Incorrectly requests local network access to check for other devices on my network *2025-07-02, version 7.3.0* The new update requests local network access, and if you say no the app doesn’t function. Why would the app request local network access to access other devices on my network to function? None of the my other apps requests this access to work, neither competing apps. ### 1/5 — Property search returns no results after recent update *2025-07-01, version 7.3.0* The latest update has introduced a bug that critically affects the core functionality of the app. There are no property results or listings shown after entering the search criteria. Just say you don't want us using the app - gets worse with every release/bug fix. ### 1/5 — Still not functional *2025-03-10, version 7.0.5* If you’ve arrived back here after a disappointing update, in the hopes they fixed it; spoiler alert - it’s not fixed. I make alerts for rentals and then there’s no where to even view the rentals? It's actually made it even harder and I think lll delete it.
