Even after enable connect automatically. It keep disconnected. That’s really ridiculous. I will be glad if you could fix it. Because it has all the cities and states I used a lot. 😄 ### 3/5 — Private Wi-Fi vs 1.1.1.1 *2020-01-21, version 2.6.2* I have been using the 1.1.1.1 app since it came out, but decided I'd pay for this service instead (to cover my computer mostly, but had extra devices so I used it on my phone). Compared to 1.1.1.1 it's a bit of a trade down. This app has a hard time of telling if I am on wifi or not, and when on wifi it has a hard time of establishing a connection to a server. Once connected it makes most websites not work. I either get warnings that too many people are using the same IP as me, and the site won't let me connect (I get lots of warnings on the home page of the websites I visit). When it does work, it does what it's supposed to. I am assuming this company is smaller than cloudflare so I know it won't be as smooth with updates and bug fixes. Still a good deal for windows computer though. ### 3/5 — Can not update iOS on iPhone when using this app *2018-05-07, version 2.6* Can not update iOS on iPhone when using this app. I must uninstall private wifi when updating my iPhone says can not verify. Please advise. I didn't change my password so that's insecure! & this App wasn't born in 1969! There needs to be other means of support contact then just email. I don't have email any longer & cant contact to discuss or get help w password. Not good. App should still encrypt for cellular use without wifi connection. Most carriers went to limited data & wifi connection isn't used all the time. What can I do but put this here. Paying for 3 devices other 2 are fine. This rating system needs to be changed so legitimate reviews can be made based on complete evaluation and finding evidence that this app is a huge disappointment to me as I will find other apps that deserves my attention and that’s worthy enough to be downloaded. ### 1/5 — Not good *2023-05-30, version 2.7.1* Private WiFi doesn't have a kill switch if the connection drops, this is very dangerous on public wi-fi. Also you can't change protocols if IKEV2 is blocked on some public wi-fi networks. I use Surfshark as my main VPN, it has the same auto-connect feature, it's much faster and it has several protocols to choose from. ### 1/5 — Slow *2019-08-27, version 2.6.2* Way too slow to work.....don’t bother with it... ### 1/5 — VPN does not appear legit *2019-07-20, version 2.6.2* Poor, do not even see vpn in notification bar. Says encrypted in app but not in bar ### 1/5 — Dodged *2018-06-22, version 2.6.2* I cancelled within the 10 day trial period - 3 days after, by emailing them (instructions from them at the time of sign up). They asked for my email address, which I replied to. After the trial period ended, they responded that they can’t cancel the payment for me. I showed them a screen shot from their page showing that I had followed their instructions. They admitted fault with wording, and offered me a temporary subscription worth $3.98 when I was billed $4.49, and clearly stated in my first email that their app didn’t suit me. I am now ignored because I mentioned that I am left insulted because of this (they were replying with timeliness initially). Regardless of mistakes, own up to it properly - don’t just change your intro on the app store (they’ve erased the trial offer). ### 1/5 — Terrible *2017-01-21, version 2.5* No free personal hotspots I would give this a zero but it might not be accepted then so ### 1/5 — Less than thrilled *2016-12-23, version 2.5* I've been using this system for some time, but it is too erratic. In hotels and other such situations, this service seems to be working, but without any notice, it quits working. Billing is a recurring nightmare. I have automatic monthly payment set up, but then I get notified that a renewal is required. After doing the required renewal, my credit card gets hit twice--once for the old billing and again for the new billing. In the past, they would correct the problem. Now, they don't even respond to emails. Previously, there phone contract was possible, but now there is no phone numbers available to contract them. Enough is enough. I'm dropping this service and simply increasing my cellular data for secure links when needed. This will cost much less and be much more reliable. ### 1/5 — Terrible product *2016-11-07, version 2.5* Ever since I installed this product on my IPhone, it has been crashing constantly. Can not depend on the program. I have been in constant contact with service support and they require a copy of payment. They have all of this information on file, since I paid with my credit card. After getting a confirmation email I was unable to log in , the reset password link did not recognise my email even though it was the email that I had received a confirmation from. I then sent three messages trying to cancel the recurring payment and did not get a reply from any of them. Shocking service .
