## What is PrivyTranslate?

PrivyTranslate is a privacy-first translation app for iPhone and iPad.

Translate typed text directly in the app, review recent translations in local history, and adjust your default target language, inference engine, model settings, timeout, and provider configuration from Settings.

PrivyTranslate is built for people who want useful translation without giving up control of their data or workflow. It supports a bundled local GGUF model for on-device translation, plus optional configurable remote endpoints when you choose to use them.

- Added Translation Profile settings for your domain, target locale, and preferred register. Choose a common value or enter your own.
- When a Profile is set, PrivyTranslate sends its context to the configured LLM so it can make better terminology, regional-convention, and tone choices.
- A translation with a Profile uses the LLM rather than Turbo mode, because Apple's fast translation path cannot apply Profile instructions. When the Profile is empty, existing translation routing is unchanged.
- Made the terminology glossary available to all users; it no longer requires the Professional upgrade.
