### 4/5 — Excellent Application

*2026-08-03, version 3.5*

Reeflex is an excellent program which is just missing a couple of features. Please add support for camera button (iPhone 17 Pro). I would use more if it were easier to access!
Focus stacking is a fantastic idea; that is why I tried Reeflex in the first place. It would be great if focus stacking (I always shoot RAW) resulted in a (lossless) TIF or PNG instead of lossy JPG. The workaround is to process the stacked photos in Photoshop on Mac.
Great application, give it a try! It’s way better than some of its competition.

### 3/5 — It’s ok

*2026-08-03, version 3.5*

It really needs the ability to have ISO or Shutter Speed priority, where you can manually set one and the other is automatic.

Currently, i often want to set the Shutter Speed to 60 or higher to prevent motion blur, but this also makes the ISO manual, which sometimes I don’t want.

The App should allow manual/auto independently for each.

I also really don’t like how they separate common features into separate Apps.
- Want to have a long exposure photo? You have to buy another of their Apps for that. And there are two different Apps.

### 2/5 — Manual shutter speed useless

*2026-07-27, version 3.5*

I bought this app specifically to set the manual shutter to avoid banding on video displays. The App lets you set 1/50 but not 1/60 which is the standard refresh rate of monitors in the US ( and a standard photography shutter speed ). I can set 1/58 or 1/62 but not 1/60. Occasionally the App will land on 1/60 via other exposure priorities and then things look good but it’s not possible to force 1/60 with manual shutter. So this App is useless for my needs.

### 3/5 — Review:

*2026-07-23, version 3.5*

Really good quality settings and all that good stuff. Would definitely recommend. Great for learning photography and great to use as a hobby. Unfortunately, I rated this app 3 stars because I don’t use it that much due to it not being able to be launched by the camera button the the side of my iPhone. I’m used to using that button to get to camera and end up just using the basic camera app provided by apple.

If the creators can see this: if yall are able to, could yall please work on making this able to be launched by pressing the camera button on the side of newer iphones please?

Thank you

### 3/5 — Almost good

*2026-07-19, version 3.5*

Was hoping this was going to be the magic app for doing macro photography with its new focus bracketing feature. Unfortunately it’s just too slow to be useful in any situation where there is movement from wind etc which results in too many artifacts. The implementation is also unusual, I would expect the bracketing to be done so first image is the one in focus then bracket either side, instead it just racks front to back which makes little sense when used in the field

### 4/5 — Bouton appareil photo

*2026-07-11*

L’application pro caméra n’apparaît pas dans réglage pour choisir le type appareil photo comment faire

### 4/5 — Option to save to external storage

*2026-07-02, version 3.5*

Would be great if you could bypass the Photos app and go directly to an external storage device via the files app, particularly for focus bracketing. Other apps have this option, eg PGYTECH.
Update.
Thanks for the positive response.
Hanging out for this. I don’t want to give Apple more money buying a new phone with more onboard storage.

### 4/5 — Love the bracketing concept, but would enjoy stacking after the shoot!

*2026-06-19, version 3.5*

The Reeflex Pro Camera has become my go-to app for critical photos, and in many ways I love it! The recent update for stacking focus bracketed shots crashes while processing at times, leaving me with a slew of pictures and no way to complete the task “in post.” It may be good to implement a method to group/select photos and then to complete the stacking task later.

### 3/5 — Manual ISO turns off hdr

*2026-05-03, version 3.0.3*

As soon as you try to adjust the ISO manually, images come out flat (no HDR extra brightness range). So the higher brightness the screen is capable of is lost and you cannot get that back with editing. Images end up looking flatter in most cases compared to auto mode. That’s hard to give up. In Auto mode this is not a problem for me. I will use auto mode more often.

### 2/5 — Manual ISO turns off hdr

*2026-04-24, version 3.0.3*

As soon as you try to adjust the ISO manually images come out flat until you restart the app. Hopefully it’s a temporary bug.

### 3/5 — It’s ok!

*2026-04-21, version 3.0.3*

Shutter button is uncomfortably low. No natural mode JPG like moment but it does do RAW! You need a tripod for the light trail mode and such.

### 3/5 — Misleading pricing

*2026-04-19, version 3.0.3*

After downloading the app, you are given a 3 day trial. Once you accept that, you are locked into a yearly contract (which you can cancel) but the lifetime price is no longer an option. Contacting tech support, they say to take it up with Apple and you cannot get it changed. Don’t let the lifetime price fool you. It is yearly only from Apple Store regardless of what their pricing says here. It’s a shame as the camera is good but I’m not paying every year when, for less than 2 years cost I should be able to have it for lifetime. Fix this or take that misleading option off your info.

Update - you can update to lifetime after your year is up if you cancel your auto renewal. However, don’t accept the three day trial since that will not let you choose anything but yearly if you do. Bad policy. That needs to be changed or explained

### 3/5 — Option to save to external storage

*2026-04-19*

Would be great if you could bypass the Photos app and go directly to an external storage device via the files app, particularly for focus bracketing. Other apps have this option, eg PGYTECH.

**Developer response:** Hi,

Great feedback. We will implement this in a future update.

### 2/5 — Waste of time and quality

*2026-04-11, version 3.0.3*

Don’t waste money and time. iPhone camera is much better.

### 2/5 — Big bug 3.0.2

*2026-04-08, version 3.0.2*

There is a major issue with this latest release where more often than not you will shoot in landscape and you see the photo preview flip from landscape to portrait and when you look at it the the gallery it has taken a portrait photo rather than a landscape - very very odd.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Really?

*2026-08-15, version 3.5*

Expensive. Pathetic layout. The only thing really going for this app, is the focus stacking... Barely.

### 1/5 — Running around in circles

*2026-07-26, version 3.5*

I have lifetime purchases of ReeXpose, ReeLapse and ReeHeld and they are all great apps. I use a third-party camera app for my phone and want to try the pro camera app. This thing just takes me round in circles and spends its entire time trying to get me to pay for the app rather than just letting me try it out to see if I want to use it. Instead of trying to force people to buy this and making us have to skip through the introduction multiple times to get nowhere, why not make it easy for us to have a look at it? Very disappointing after my experiences with your other apps.

### 1/5 — Bad Customer Support

*2026-07-14*

I subscribed through the iPhone app expecting to start the advertised free trial, but instead, I was charged immediately through my Apple ID without receiving any trial period.

To make matters worse, the app provides two annual subscription plans (₹599/year and ₹1,499/year) with no clear explanation of the differences between them, making it confusing for users to choose the correct plan.

I contacted the support team via email to ask why I was charged immediately and to understand the differences between the plans, but I have not received any response.

Poor communication, unclear subscription information, and unexpected billing have made this a disappointing experience. I hope the developers improve their customer support and make their pricing and trial terms much more transparent.

### 1/5 — Software is glitching

*2026-06-27, version 3.5*

Software is glitchy, use go work well, now I cannot select between wide and ultra wide, as the software only shows a magnifier glass icon and will not let me use the $350 telescopic lens I bought last year. Software used to work great, now it’s garbage.

### 1/5 — Software is glitching

*2026-05-30, version 3.0.3*

Software is glitchy, use go work well, now I cannot select between wide and ultra wide, as the software only shows a magnifier glass icon and will not let me use the $350 telescopic lens I bought last year. Software used to work great, now it’s garbage.

### 1/5 — None of the controls appear such as setting

*2026-05-09, version 3.0.3*

I purchased the Pro Camera app, while the phone is horizontal none of the controls appear on the left settings/ flashlight etc
I connected Reeflex 3 days ago and no response

### 1/5 — Not free

*2026-05-01, version 3.0.3*

Not free and it is free to download but not to use

### 1/5 — Can’t open app without pay

*2026-04-12, version 3.0.3*

Do paid app in App Store, you download app, lose time, can’t open cuz u have to pay

### 1/5 — no video, photo only

*2026-04-10, version 3.0.3*

not sure who still takes photos, but this app does NOT have video recording capabilities

### 1/5 — Photos do not save to gallery

*2026-04-06, version 3.0.1*

An expensive tool but photos do not even save to gallery and disappear as soon as they are taken.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — La meilleure alternative

*2026-06-21*

Super, facile à utiliser et avec la v3.5 focus stacking directement sur le téléphone sans besoin de passer par un ordi : manque juste le fait de pouvoir supprimer les 50 photos d’origine une fois le résultat obtenu ;-)

### 5/5 — Camera button/both stacking buttons

*2026-05-13, version 3.0.3*

Edit : changed review back to 5 stars as it was user error (me) as the phone UI was set to zoom. Lesson to all all iPhone 17 pro users…turn this feature off.
Can now use the app in all its glory and it knocks the Apple app out of the water. Go to the tutorials for training on both the app and techniques for better images.

Hello,
Just a heads up..both the stacking buttons are hidden behind the camera and “thumbnail “ buttons making it very hard to select let alone use the stacking options. And advise would be good please ? Edit: does not integrate or indeed function properly on an iPhone 17 pro as icons overlap each other and there is no workaround….and customer support is terrible.

### 5/5 — It's that

*2026-05-07*

The essential mirrorless functions are intuitively organized for easy access.
"Please allow users to increase the font size of the values by 2x to improve readability for seniors."

### 5/5 — Absolutely professional and easy to use!

*2026-04-17, version 3.0.3*

I love the interface!
Professional shooting with a very intuitive GUI.. Thank you Reeflex!
The added 48 mp on the UW lens is really great!
The focus peaking is a must for certain shots, like macro, for pinpoint accuracy.
When I show my friends what I do with your lenses (tele with two macros), they can’t believe it’s from a phone!

### 5/5 — Professional Photographer App

*2026-04-14, version 3.0.3*

Reeflex is already a professional-grade camera app, offering nearly all the features of a professional still camera (excluding video).

The only missing piece is hardware.

With proper physical control like the Fjorden grip, the iPhone becomes a complete professional system.
Please support the Fjorden grip.

This would make Reeflex perfect.

### 5/5 — Best Long Exposure App

*2026-04-06, version 3.0.1*

I really enjoy using use this app to create wonderful pictures.

### 5/5 — Highly Recommend

*2026-04-03, version 3.0.1*

This app is versatile, relatively simple and fast. Since it first started it was very good, then the others caught up. Now it is in front again and I can truthfully say that it is here to stay, for me. It does everything I want and a bit more.

Now it is up to the others to catch up.

### 5/5 — V3 just made this my fav photo app for iPhone

*2026-04-02, version 3.0*

This app nails that perfect balance of simplicity and pro features. The design is so clean and intuitive, but underneath it is an incredibly fast and capable shooting experience. Bayer RAW files look amazing. This has become my go-to for iPhone photos. Now with focus and exposure bracketing this app is unbeatable.

### 5/5 — Go to full feature camera app

*2026-04-02, version 2.6.3*

If you want all the capability of a full pro camera. Look no further than The Pro Camera App by Reeflex

### 5/5 — Versatility for Photo taking

*2026-02-18, version 2.6.3*

This application is very versatile and easy to use. A lot of information is given to you before you take a photo. I love it and will use it for my photos.
