He needed the final red, but this was behind the black (no direct shot). But he kept aiming for the black, instead of trying a shot off the cushion, to hit the red. I just kept taking the points! The gameplay just feels unnatural as it is. Fades between menu screens are slow. Just starting a match is slow (needs a button to skip the spin around the table). Computer players take ages to make their shots (needs button to speed up computer shots). Switching between camera angles is slow. And, maybe I haven’t found it, but why can’t I aim my stick towards the bottom of the cue ball for some backspin? Try this one out. If you like pool or billiards, you will love this game. ### 2/5 — Not Bad, but Needs Work *2024-03-27, version 1.41* Pros: Love the simple look and gameplay. There's a pretty wide variety of games and tables to play on. Cue ball action is mostly realistic, but not entirely. Cons: Computer opponent is really bad. Even playing Legend level, the shot selection is questionable, cue ball control is nearly non-existant, and safety/defensive shots are identical to that of lesser skill levels. The only real difference between the various difficulty levels is actual shot making. Legend almost never misses, but also rarely runs more than a couple balls before needing to play defensive. Only having WPA rules is a shame, considering all of the other variety and options available. The shot guides are mostly terrible and difficult to see. Blue, in particular, does not contrast very well even on green cloth. The guide needs to just be black regardless of what color ball you're shooting. The cue ball guide is equally bad, especially when doing straight draw. You simply can't see it when trying to determine how hard to hit. And if trying to draw back beyond the position of the cue ball, the cue stick is now obstructing your view of it. Would also be great to be able to save a prefered camera angle. The first 2 are pretty much useless. I only use angle 3 (over head) and would love to be able to set that as the default view so I don't need to change it every game. Adding masse would be fantastic. ### 1/5 — Horrible mechanic *2024-03-23, version 1.40* You apparently *have* to use chalk, or it will purposely miss your shots. This is an insane mechanic that has no basis in reality. ### 3/5 — What Are the Rules? *2024-03-14, version 1.40* I’ve never played snooker, so I looked up the rules online. The rules I found online don’t appear to matchup with this game. I get called for fouls when I follow the rules I found on Wikipedia. The game will setup a shot for me, and when I make the shot I get called for a foul. It would be an excellent game if it made it clear what the rules are. ### 3/5 — Good fun but we need a fast forward *2024-03-12* It’s a good fun game, career mode would be a nice touch but my biggest issue is having to watch the computer play every shot slowly. It’s painful and boring.
