### 4/5 — Very good app

*2025-05-09*

I believe this is a really good app.
Not sure if the subscription is necessary, specially for the amount of photos that the user can upload.

The app could suggest maintenance per other users inputs.

### 4/5 — Great but Premium…

*2025-01-26, version 2.11.3*

Unclear why after paying for an app, a new “premium” subscription is required. Not much utility either… just so you can add photos

### 5/5 — Great way to track suspension and sealant maintenance

*2024-07-09, version 2.5.1*

If you use strava to track your rides, this app is excellent. You can set mileage, ride time, or calendar time for maintenance items. Great for keeping up with sealant (every 6 months) as well as mtb suspension (50/200 hours ride time). Easy set up for your bike with a nice component database. Highly recommend this!

### 3/5 — Almost good but confusing to use in a real situation

*2024-07-07, version 2.5.0*

I set this all up when I got it and at that point, it was impressive. However, as soon as the first maintenance event occurred, it just became confusing and overly complicated. Eg, setting up a recurring chain stretch check should only require a checkbox input from the user with an option to log the replacement of the chain. The replaced chain should then be logged as replaced and the new chain as the current chain. The App requires a lot of head scratching to complete this simple set of events. There is a lot of potential in this app but doesn’t yet work well enough to replace a simple pen and paper solution.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2024-07-03, version 2.5.0*

If you're into bike maintenance, this app is a must!

### 5/5 — Better than ever with recent upgrades

*2024-06-20, version 2.4.1*

I love this app! I’ve been using it for years and it keeps getting better and more stable. I especially like the new and improved interface.

I use this app to track all of my bikes on both indoor and outdoor rides. It takes a little thought during set up in ProBikeGarage mainly due to limitations in Strava. For example, when riding indoors on a trainer, I’m not using brakes so don’t want to count indoor rides against my brakes’ maintenance intervals. To get around this I created “BIKE1” and “BIKE1+Wahoo Trainer” in Strava and in ProBikeGarage. And in ProBikeGarage I didn’t “install” the brake components on the BIKE1+Wahoo Trainer. Now when I ride indoors, I make sure to edit my Strava ride event post ride to say I used BIKE1+Wahoo Trainer and then when I sync, ProBikeGarage takes care of the rest. It keeps me on track with everything. I have even used it for tracking when to charge my Di2 batteries and it’s pretty much spot on with notifications from my Garmin head unit. Keep up the great work!

### 4/5 — Sehr gute App

*2024-06-18*

Thanks for your feedback, Björn! We're always adding new components to our catalog and will try to add motors, etc. soon. Meanwhile, you can add any custom components you need.

### 5/5 — Very Useful

*2024-04-29, version 2.3.1*

It takes some time to set everything up if you want to track every component with specific service intervals, but once it’s set up it’s great! It’s so nice knowing when I need to service my suspension/brakes/tire sealant.

### 5/5 — Obsessed

*2024-04-25, version 2.3.0*

This app is well built and the latest update has really sent it above and beyond! Love this thing makes tracking maintenance easy. I really only use it to track a few things on my bike mostly suspension and drive train but it’s literally amazing. Thank you so much for making this app

### 5/5 — Love the app, now even better!

*2024-04-20, version 2.2.5*

Was pleasantly surprised to see quite the big update. A really great app that has been super helpful for tracking wear and tear. Use it to keep track of my drivetrain wear. Thanks!!

### 5/5 — Beste App aufm Handy

*2024-03-13*

Weiter so 👍🏻

**Developer response:** Danke Nico!

### 5/5 — Easy maintenance tracking

*2024-03-11, version 2.1.0*

This is an extremely useful tool to track maintenance. I’m an avid cyclist & it would be tough to keep up on mileage & time based maintenance schedules across several bikes without this app. I haven’t had issues with Strava syncing. My only note is to add Rim as a component type for those of us who build our own wheels (or break rims).

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2024-02-24, version 2.0.0*

Just tried the 2.0 update, the UI is much better. Can’t wait to use this more.

### 5/5 — Loving the new look!

*2024-02-23, version 2.0.0*

This feels like a really modern app now rather than one that’s limped along for a while. Even with its old look it’s a invaluable app when you maintain your own bike(s).

The new look is great, the only change I would like to see is the date format being selectable or taken from the device. Being in the UK we tend to do dd/mm/yy and I’m finding it confusing seeing American format.

Otherwise… keep up the great work!

### 5/5 — Super mise à jour

*2024-02-22*

Merci pour cette version 2.0
Une grande amélioration de l’interface 👍🏻
Un petit champ photo serait le top 😉

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Strava required

*2025-10-11, version 2.15.1*

The description of the app offers “Strava Integration”, though the app cannot be used without Strava.

### 1/5 — Funktioniert nur zusammen mit Strava

*2025-09-11*

### 2/5 — Poorly Built App

*2026-08-04, version 2.15.1*

I purchased ProBikeGarage because I wanted an app to track the maintenance of my bike. Unfortunately, I found the app to be too tightly integrated with Strava and not capable enough as a standalone bike maintenance tool.

When I tried to add components to my bike, I found that many common, widely used components were missing from the available list. For example, I couldn’t find Reserve wheels, which I would expect to be included. This made it difficult to accurately configure my bike and track maintenance.

If your primary goal is maintenance tracking rather than Strava integration, you may find the app limiting. I was expecting a more complete and independent bike maintenance solution.

### 2/5 — Nécessite un abonnement en plus

*2026-04-04*

Dommage

### 2/5 — Components 🤔

*2020-07-30, version 1.19.0*

This is not that user friendly. I thought I would be able to add my bike and the components would be filled in. All of the components are generic and it’s tricky to indenting which one is appropriate. I felt this tool was targeted at new cyclists, but its pretty clumsy and difficult to use.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t Have My Components

*2020-07-07, version 1.19.0*

Can’t find all the components that are on my rig. Would be nice if it would just load your bike based on its specs.

### 2/5 — Not recommended

*2020-06-27, version 1.19.0*

I just downloaded the app. The syncing with Strava was no problem. The app is pretty easy to navigate. However, the most important thing is to add components and unfortunately the app is a complete fail in regards to that. There are a lot of very common components that are not listed like SRAM X01 Shifter or derailleur, DT Swiss hubs, Shimano XT brakes, or OneUp pedals. Just to mention a few. I read a couple reviews before purchasing it and they had the same complaints. I thought since some of the reviews were written awhile ago the developer would have a more comprehensive component list, wrong. It doesn’t take that long to add components, especially very common ones like shimano or SRAM components. I really would like to get a refund. Very disappointing.

### 2/5 — was expecting more!

*2019-10-21, version 1.10.1*

Component list is deprecated, no rockshox deluxe shocks that I could find, no 2020 suspension from rockshox which has a different service interval recommendation. Lifetime of components completely outside of reality with tires at 1200+ miles and brake pads 2000+ miles, no tire or pads are gonna last that much, same for chain. I will have to name components and manually add service intervals! Not worth the money compared to what strava gets you for free, only benefit is that you can track time vs only miles.

### 2/5 — Dark Mode colors combination don’t work

*2019-10-07, version 1.10*

The colors combination doesn’t allow you to read the information properly

### 3/5 — Missing bikes and components

*2025-11-09, version 2.15.1*

Looks like it has potential it it’s missing bikes and components. Bought a new Canyon Aeroad CF SLX8 Speed. Bike doesn’t exist. I try to add components manually half the components are missing.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-05-09, version 2.15.1*

The app is excellent for keeping track of what is coming up and needs to get done on all the different bikes. I wish it worked off Garmin or something other than Strava. Otherwise excellent

### 5/5 — An essential part of my life

*2025-11-15, version 2.15.1*

I test bike stuff for a number of different companies and this app helps me keep track the distance / hours / watts / etc that I put into everything so that when a part inevitably fails I’m able to give that info to the manufacturer. Being able to easily reference whenever someone asks me “how many miles you got on…?” is so satisfying.

### 5/5 — Exceptional Service Tracking

*2025-09-14, version 2.15.1*

Best app I’ve found for tracking use on all your bikes and the components on them. Reminds you when a component need service by time, ride time or km ridden (who can remember the number of hours they’ve ridden their suspension?!) Syncs straight out of Strava and is super simple to setup

### 5/5 — Bikes always ready

*2025-06-27, version 2.14.2*

Amazing tool - allows me to ensure my bike collection stays in shape with proactive maintenance!

### 5/5 — Worth it

*2025-04-14, version 2.13.2*

I’ve used this app for a few years and the tracking is very convenient. The Strava syncing streamlines the process and saves lots of time.

### 5/5 — If you have more than one bike, get this

*2025-03-27, version 2.13.1*

ProBikeGarage is a fantastic bit of software. It takes usage data you’re already gathering via Strava (route it through a free account if you don’t) to help you stay ahead of maintenance tasks on your bikes. Don’t forget to lube your chain or top up sealant.

It’s useful for maintenance and usage tracking (how long did those tires last?). But it really changes the game if you work on your own bikes and change/upgrade components. Then you know the history on each part on a bike or the shelf.

It’s really well thought out to automate base data by importing from existing data on Strava. But its internal UX is also very effective for adding components, setting reminders, tracking service etc.

The free version is really very robust and frankly enough. If I have any complaint at all it’s the boundary to the paid service. I think it’s too big a jump (free to subscription paid) for the additional features. I’d actually be happy to pay something because it is truly useful but can’t justify the relatively big bump on ANOTHER subscription. (This is more a suggestion to the dev than a complaint)

### 5/5 — Essential bike maintenance app

*2024-12-03, version 2.10.0*

Terrific app paired w Strava. Makes it very easy to track maintenance, time, and mileage for all my bikes and components. Especially helpful for keeping an easy chain waxing schedule w my 3 chains in rotation. Updated very frequently with new and thoughtful features. 5 STARS!

### 5/5 — Fantastic maintenance app

*2024-08-01*

Extremely well-designed, well thought out app. Even more complicated things — rotating waxed chains, having certain components wear from outdoor rides only and not indoor rides — are easy to set up and intuitive. Notification system and organisation of maintenance tasks is likewise excellent. Thank you for the great app!

### 5/5 — Mega.

*2024-07-28*
