One suggestion for improvement: it would be great if pictures could continue to display as you swipe through them, instead of having to close one picture and open another each time. Easy to use, gives me info that I need, and simple! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — The worst. *2026-08-18, version 6.6.0* If you enjoy writing checks or paying in cash, or wasting your time on the phone trying to troubleshoot why your payments don’t go through on your or your spouse’s account, or why you can’t add a new form of payment - this is the app for you. Another headache of living in our garbage modern world with garbage technology. Essentially nonfunctional, in my experience. It would be easier to just expect to pay our school in cash every week. ### 1/5 — Very hard to reset password *2026-08-10, version 6.6.0* First of all, occasionally the app asks to reconfirm my identity via a one time code sent to my phone. However, never once have I been able to successfully receive such a code, so I have to resort to resetting my password to get back in. However, the process is hit or miss and so ends up eating up quite a bit of my time. This aside, even when I can login successfully, the updates from staff (messages), don’t update smoothly. All this to say please give this app a professional overhaul! ### 1/5 — Worst app ever for emails *2026-08-02, version 6.6.0* Only download this app if you are preperard to receive 50+ daily email that you cannot opt out of. It is ridiculous to send emails of the same notifications you are ALREADY getting. ### 1/5 — Okayish App *2026-07-14, version 6.5.2* It’s good to be able to have an app where the school can communicate with the parents but their notification system is BROKEN. I’ve reached out to support three times about it in two years and they just seem seem to want fix it. It’s like some days you get notifications in a timely manner, other days you get a bunch of notifications in a batch one after another, then other days you get no notifications at all despite there being updates and photos. It’s pretty ridiculous how easily this could be fixed. ### 1/5 — Absolute Garbage *2026-07-06, version 6.5.0* I’ve been unable to access the app for MONTHS now. “Role selection and/or credentials did not match. Please try again or contact your school for assistance.” So I reset my password…same thing happens, over and over. But you know where I CAN login? myprocare.com, the website that charges an extra $3 card processing fee to pay my balance! ### 1/5 — Payment System is Terrible *2026-07-04* Their support site says there is a "wallet" feature to store up to 6 payment methods, but it's not true. And when I changed banks, they use Plaid to verify/connect now. That's normally great, but Procare's app settings force you to share all accounts with a given bank...and then they don't let you choose which one to use for payment. The result is that Procare loads the wrong account from my bank. I tried adding a debit card instead, but it charges the 2.9% fee just like for a credit card, even though it doesn't list any fees for debit cards. I used to be able to verify my bank with routing number, account number and 3 test transactions, but that option has disappeared now that they moved to Plaid. Other services I use with Plaid give you the choice of which accounts to share as well as manual verification if desired. This is a Procare app developer oversight, not a Plaid or bank issue. Very disappointing to start with, but then for me the result is that I'm forced to pay an extra $38 per month in fees now that Procare uses Plaid with improper settings. Not cool at all. Procare's "improvements" to their app are costing me money. ### 1/5 — Bug-ridden *2026-07-03, version 6.5.0* Badge notification and simply bring able to scroll a timeline reliably has been riddled with bugs for years. Basic usability issues persist update after update. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2026-07-02, version 6.5.0* Delayed communication on the app and forget trying to get help if you call unless you are a staff member. They don’t help parents only staff ### 1/5 — Fix Your App! *2026-06-28, version 6.5.0* You constantly log us all out and it is nearly impossible to clear the chat notifications. I’ve reported this for years and it affects every parent I’ve talked too. FIX THE APP!!! ### 1/5 — The Procare App Sucks *2026-06-24, version 6.5.0* UPDATE: They are removing access to activity and media older than 1 year without warning! Terrible support from this company!! Stay away!!! This is a poorly designed app. When your web version is 10x better than the app design you know it’s a failure. App is also full of bugs and slow to load. Pictures and everything is all out of order.
