## What is Proccy?

Proccy tells you how processed a packaged food really is — before it hits your cart.

Point the camera at a barcode and get a clear NOVA processing score, from group 1 (unprocessed) to group 4 (ultra-processed). Proccy shows exactly which ingredients and processing markers drove the score, in plain language.

HOW IT WORKS
• Scan a barcode — product details come from Open Food Facts, the open non-profit food database
• The NOVA score is computed on your iPhone with deterministic ingredient rules — never an AI guess
• Product not in the database? Photograph the ingredient label and on-device OCR reads and scores it instantly

Every result offers healthier side-by-side alternatives in the same category — lower NOVA group, fewer processing markers, shorter ingredient lists.

YOUR PANTRY, YOUR PHONE
Every product you scan or add builds a personal pantry that works offline. Scan history, label photos, and your additions live only on your iPhone. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking — deleting the app deletes everything.

Brands earn a Minimally Processed badge only through a published formula — real scan volume, verification counts, and median NOVA. Never through payment.
