## What is Processing.ie?

Waiting on an Irish visa, work permit, or IRP renewal? Processing.ie estimates WHEN your application is likely to be processed — a date, not an approval outcome — and shows the historical data behind that estimate.

The Irish authorities publish only one line per category: the date they are "currently processing". That tells you nothing about when YOUR application — filed on a different day — will come up. Processing.ie fills that gap.

How it works:
The app reads the daily progress snapshots published by Irish immigration authorities and fits a linear regression to that history, projecting when your own application date is likely to reach the front of the queue — shown as both a calendar date and a countdown. Your date is plotted on a scatter chart of every published snapshot, on the fitted trend line, so you can see exactly where your case sits.

This estimates a processing DATE. It does not predict whether your visa or permit will be approved.

Covers three official sources:
• Visa decisions (Dublin) — applications and appeals
• Employment permits — all sub-categories
• IRP renewals (Burgh Quay registrations)

What you get:
• A per-applicant result, status-coloured: green once your date has arrived, amber while you're still waiting
• Historical scatter plot of past "currently processing" snapshots, the fitted regression trend, and your application's position on it
• Interactive "Explore history" time-slider that refits the trend on the snapshots known up to any earlier day — so you can watch how the estimate for your date settled as more data arrived
• In-app "How it works" guide on where the data comes from, how the regression works, and how to read the chart, with links to the three official sources
• Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets showing the queue-head date or your personal countdown
• Ask Siri, use Shortcuts or Spotlight, or set the Action Button to check your estimate hands-free — without opening the app
• Works offline with the last downloaded copy
• Light and dark mode, with full Dynamic Type support
• English (en-IE)

Premium (optional, one-time $0.99 purchase):
• Personal "N days to go" countdown on widgets, derived from your application date
• Processing-date alerts: notifications as your estimated date approaches — set one or more reminders (e.g. 30 and 7 days before), at a time you choose
• Removes the banner ad from the main screen

Your form selections (chosen source, category, type, application date) are stored on your device and are not transmitted off the device.

Disclaimer: this is an unofficial estimator. Estimates are statistical projections from publicly published progress and are not affiliated with Irish immigration authorities. Actual processing times vary case-by-case — always confirm against the original source page (the result card links to it).
