## What is Procrastination Timer?

Built by Michelle, solo founder. Actually helps you find out, one timed session at a time.

The dread is almost always bigger than the task.

Here's how it works: name the task you've been avoiding, guess how long it'll take, then hit start. Actually films you doing it and builds a shareable timelapse comparing your guess to the real time. Most people find out the thing they dreaded for days takes twelve minutes.

No shame, no guilt trips, no hustle-culture noise. Just a gentle nudge and a little proof that you can, in fact, do the thing.

One App Store reviewer put it this way: "I love how I can predict how long it will take and then actually find out the real time it took." — DavidProductTester, App Store review

*2026-09-09*

I have a long list of tasks that seem to never be the priority. This weighs on my mind, and this app has really got me up and going. I love how I can predict how long it will take and then actually find out the real time it took. It also helps me break big tasks into smaller more manageable tasks. I am loving the momentum I have in working through the things I want to get done. This app rocks!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.4 — 2026-10-12

A faster, friendlier start, plus four things you asked for.

- A quicker first win: no quiz. Name one thing you've been avoiding, guess how long it'll take, and start. Filming is optional, and your videos stay on your phone.
- Your timelapse is the star of the celebration, ready to watch the moment you finish.
- Share your win with the task name in it, and edit the message before it sends.
- Make any task multistep, not just the big ones.
- Tap any before or after photo to see it full screen, with zoom.
- Tap "Timelapses made" on the Wins tab to see every timelapse you can watch.
- Smoother free-session checks, plus small fixes and polish.

Thank you for every message. Keep them coming!
Michelle

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-08

No new features this time — the app itself is unchanged. This update is all about the store page: a clearer name (Procrastination Timer—Actually), a new subtitle, fresh screenshots, and new listings for the U.K., Australia and Canada. Same app, same promise: guess how long the task will take, film yourself doing it, and see how small it really was. — Michelle

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-01

Your timelapse is safe now, even if you leave.

- Tap Done and switch apps: your video keeps processing, picks up where it left off if iOS pauses it, and sends a note when it's ready. The Wins tab shows a little spinner while it's on its way.
- Filmed some steps upright and some sideways? Your timelapse no longer comes out squashed. Every step fits the frame.
- Turned your phone mid-take? The recording now follows it once it settles.
- Before and after are now quick snapshots: one tap, and you're on to the doing.
- The opening card stays on screen a beat longer so you can actually read it.

Thanks for every message and review. I read them all. — Michelle

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-22

A big update: routines, a calendar for your habits, and new ways to film.

ROUTINES
Set up a whole routine in one place — name it, pick your days and start time, and add every task in order. Choose how it's timed: one clock for the whole routine (simplest, just tick tasks off as you go), or a separate guess for each task. One button runs straight through every task.

Every routine gets its own calendar history. Each day you did it is marked, with your streak, your best run, and a warm monthly recap instead of a scolding.

NEW WAYS TO FILM
Just film it: skip the before-and-after shots and simply film yourself doing the thing.
Stopwatch only: no camera at all — just the timer and the guess-vs-reality result.
Turn the camera off or on whenever you like, even mid-session. Anything already filmed is kept.
Both choices can be changed later on any task or routine.

YOUR VICTORY LOG
Repeating routines now fold into a single entry that opens on their full history: total runs, time on the clock, best time, and every run listed by month. One-off wins are grouped by month, with filters and a search field once you've built up a few.

POLISH
Your videos now play the real before and after clips instead of frozen stills.
Set an exact hour and minute for any task with a custom time dial.
Stopping mid-session asks a plain question with plain answers, and never restarts your timer on its own.
Empty grey before/after boxes are gone everywhere.
Task cards, the home screen, and the Just do it now button all got a cleaner look.

Thank you for using Actually. The dread really is bigger than the task.
