### 2/5 — Needs more customization options

*2022-01-30, version 2.5.21*

I like the idea of the app but you can’t really customize your map you can only use generated items so unless you want to be super laidback I don’t really recommend this app

### 3/5 — 😻

*2021-12-18, version 2.5.21*

I just love it

### 3/5 — Shouldn’t have to pay

*2021-03-28, version 2.5.21*

As soon as i opened the app i generated a dungeon, witch was pretty cool but i wish that you had more personalization options that you don't have to pay for. I was planning to use this for my D&D campaign but with the lack of personalization it wasn't that great.
To the creators, all you would need to do is slap a popup ad on the side and have some options for free.
I think its cool but would not recommend if you are planning on making a full fledged dungeon.

### 3/5 — Undecided

*2020-09-23, version 2.5.21*

I just got the app and I unlocked everything on a whim. I don’t think it’s intuitive in use and while I’m hoping it’s going to end up being a great app, right now, it’s not very user friendly and I don’t see it being an asset in creating my maps. As of yet it’s pretty useless for me.

### 3/5 — One major issue

*2020-09-07, version 2.5.21*

App doesn’t rotate. This would be fine (it’s built for landscape) but you can’t even flip it to the opposite ‘top’ edge. ,Amir nuisance depending on your case situation.

### 3/5 — One issue

*2020-03-23, version 2.5.21*

I like being able to generate the maps that I can but no matter what I do, I can’t actually seem to print any of them out

### 4/5 — Reliable

*2020-03-07, version 2.5.21*

It does what is says it does, and that’s okay.

### 2/5 — 😑

*2020-01-05, version 2.5.21*

People should learn where DLC is okay.
This not where it’s ok.
The stuff they put as DLC is pretty gosh darn needed. Don’t download in less you want to spend money.

### 4/5 — Good app but could use a few more things.

*2019-12-21, version 2.5.21*

I give it a solid four because it’s a functional app, but if I had a color pallet to designate trees water and other miscellaneous objects, that would be neat.

### 3/5 — Needs a more contrast

*2019-12-13, version 2.5.21*

All of the themes have little to no contrast and are near impossible to differentiate in app

### 4/5 — Could be better...

*2019-12-08, version 2.5.21*

Personally I think that the app is very useful especially for a certain GM that I know, but it is very annoying that you need to purchase just about everything that isn’t a normal boring dungeon. In order to get anything fun you need to spend a decent portion of the average allowance. I think that this would be much better if it was littered with ads, but no in app purchases other than the standard premium edition. Despite all this, I still rate it a four out of five.

### 4/5 — Amazing App*

*2019-10-18, version 2.5.21*

BUT
An excessive amount of their content is hidden behind pay walls. I get that the developers needs to make a paycheck, and as much as I’d like to support them, I’m a college student. I can barely support myself.

### 4/5 — Great interface

*2019-10-10, version 2.5.21*

This is a very helpful dungeon and town generator and it is easy to navigate and use. Would definitely recommend.

### 4/5 — Issue with props

*2019-07-30, version 2.5.21*

I have noticed that whenever I am printing in HD, the props appear to be semi-transparent in the final picture. Is there a way that I can fix this issue?

Other than this setback, the app is quite useful.

### 4/5 — Good overall

*2019-04-11, version 2.5.21*

I love this app because of how easy it makes it to create a custom dungeon without talking hours to map one out. It’s simple and effective. However it still has some problems:

• I would like a way for the paths between rooms in a dungeon to be the shortest length possible. It wouldn’t make sense to have long, windy pathways in a man-made dungeon.

• I often have trouble adjusting the sliders (probably because of my fat thumbs)

These are the only major problems that I found

### 4/5 — Color?

*2019-03-17, version 2.5.21*

How do you change tile colors? Like blue for water? There is no tutorial on it, and I don’t see a color change option, yet I see multicolored maps

### 4/5 — It does it’s job

*2019-03-07, version 2.5.21*

It does its job and it does it well. The only down side I say is it’s not super easy to customize the dungeon with the draw tools but that’s not what I wanted it for. It quickly generates great random dungeons

### 4/5 — Good, one problem

*2019-01-19, version 2.5.21*

This is a great app! But there is one big problem. The other generators are pretty expensive. They are $1 each and dms look for those things sometimes but overall it’s great!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Great idea

*2022-06-15, version 2.5.21*

Too much of this is pay to use and I’m sure I can find one free to use with my computer. I just didn’t want to lug it out for a session.

### 1/5 — App could be great but it’s just cash grab

*2021-11-03, version 2.5.21*

Half the app is developed. You have too pay for added features. The prop feature I purchased and couldn’t even render it to the map

### 1/5 — Unable to restored purchase

*2021-05-25, version 2.5.21*

Hi i had purchase a while ago the bundle for everything and decided to redownload this app to make maps for a game I’ll be running soon. Come to find out the store page in the app is broken and I can’t restore my past purchase, no cool man

### 1/5 — Locked rotation?

*2020-08-06, version 2.5.21*

I’m not even going to try using it, since it’s locked into a rotation that I don’t want to flip my device over for!
My friend says I should have only given no stars....thank Apple for your one star you didn’t deserve!

### 1/5 — Please fix

*2020-05-03, version 2.5.21*

All you do is just say what you want in your dungeon you can’t choose where things are placed and you can only place two different types of ncp’s and some props should be free and you need more creatures from d&d

### 1/5 — Too Expensive!!!!!!!!!!!

*2019-05-02, version 2.5.21*

The app is ok if you could just have all the tools you need but you have to pay for everything individually for $0.99- $1.99 and you pay about $7.00s worth of stuff

### 1/5 — Got ripped off

*2018-05-28, version 2.5.21*

This seems like a really cool app and I really wanted the extra features so I got the feature bundle. All of the features together cost 7 dollars but the bundle only costs 4. So I bought the bundle and realized I only got half the features. I then looked back at the bundle and realized that it only says the bundle gives you those 2 things. Which would of been ok but those two things only cost 3 dollars total to buy them separately while the bundle costs 4 dollars. So I paid an extra dollar for half of the content I thought I was getting. I’m sure they meant to put all 4 of the features in that bundle but they didn’t and ripped me off instead. So unless the developers will fix this and give me the rest of the features my review will stay at a one star. I’m sorry I’m sure a lot of hard work went into this app, but this seems like a pretty big over sight on your part and I would like it fixed.

### 1/5 — Crash city

*2018-03-03, version 2.5.21*

This app will not work, crashes every time it's opened. Even when deleted and redownloaded. Fix your app, maybe it doesn't work on iPad mini.

### 1/5 — Who Knows?

*2017-12-27, version 2.5.21*

Never even got mine past the splash screens, seems to be fond of crashing though.

### 1/5 — Obvious money grab. Not worth it

*2016-02-26, version 2.1.4*

You get a decent dungeon generator for free yes, but it offers other features that cost around $2-3 each and they are so basic it's insulting for the cost. There are free apps that include all of these features at no cost and do it much better. The price for everything is around $20. If you're willing to spend that kind of money on a mapping app just buy Battlemap2. That one is actually very good.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — This is a fun little app

*2021-12-24, version 2.5.21*

For old style dungeons.

### 5/5 — Well designed

*2019-04-05, version 2.5.21*

Simple to use map maker, AI is a little weird and cant move the AI where you want but otherwise good, only thing i would want is custom themes.

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2018-06-22, version 2.5.21*

So I do a lot of DMing and always run into the problem of my group going “let’s do a game” when we are all hanging out... and I have nothing prepared because I was caught off guard. The fact that with this app I can randomly generate a map-the hardest and longest part for me- is just awesome! I also don’t mind the payment options because that’s what they are. For the most part I can find my own way it just takes time and effort. What I would like to see though are more outdoor props. I just went to make a camp site encounter and discovered there’s no A frame tent or even a bedroll (wink wink developers lol). This is nice because it doesn’t require the same amount of artistic talent or time (most nice makes take hours if not days, I can make a decent map on this in one or two hours easy).

### 5/5 — Works for what it was made for.

*2018-02-20, version 2.5.21*

The wondering A.I is unique as far as I know and the app works fine on my 6s, not so much on my iPad. I figure that’s because it’s an older model. Real bummer though because I refuse to bring my phone to the DnD table, only my iPad. Went ahead and bought the all inclusive pack anyway though since it was cheap. I liked what I already had (plus I didn’t realize it wouldn’t work on my iPad at the time, crashes after the logo screens). Good work, if you can get it working on older gen iPads it’d definitely become a main stay in my campaigns.

### 5/5 — I really wish I found this app sooner!!!

*2018-02-08, version 2.5.21*

My roommate DMs a D&D game and I do the maps for him. And using this app has made it so much easier for me. You can generate any map of any size, it will generate enemies for you and so much more!!!😁😍

### 5/5 — Yay

*2017-09-01, version 2.5.21*

I love this app

### 4/5 — Near perfection

*2021-02-02, version 2.5.21*

This app is so easy to use since I do Dungeons and Dragons all the time, and dungeon creation is among the harder things I do. Only things that need to be changed are that when you’re editing the map, if you try to zoom out it will add tiles while you zoom out. Other thing, as I’m sure countless other people have said, make it free. Or cheaper, at the very least.

### 4/5 — Perfect for me but I wish there were more colors

*2020-12-12, version 2.5.21*

This map generator really has every thing I could ever want for making maps for my players, I only wish that I could use the full spectrum of colors and shades for every map and wasn’t just limited to the color pallet that comes with each theme.

### 4/5 — Nice!

*2020-10-26, version 2.5.21*

I cannot not have fun with this! I would give it a five star but anything can be improved, even if it doesn’t need it. With my luck I’ll find a problem, but I stick by this. It’s a fun app that doesn’t kill my phone and does what it set out to do. 9/10.

### 4/5 — It needs an update

*2020-04-08, version 2.5.21*

come on guys give us more options and props and edit abilities and parameter adjustments and for gods sake make it free
