It was easy for me to assign videos for my daughter to practice by assigning them to her on the in-app calendar. I just opened the app and the calendar feature is gone. Now it’s really hard for her to know what to practice. It’s a huge loss for the app. ### 3/5 — Ratings *2024-05-22, version 7.18.0* The ukelele lessons are bad ,piano lessons are amazing,and the recorder lessons are good. ### 4/5 — Great program, app could improve *2022-08-17* I really like the teaching style of this content. I got it for my 3 year old. Eventually we got the lifetime subscription because this program has content for all ages. He will be able to grow with this content and his little sister will be able to use it, too. This content supports bells, xylophone, boomwhackers, recorder, piano, basically anything that uses Chromatones or that you can put stickers on. The program is even teaching chords but in a subversive way. I guarantee guitar chords are going to make more sense to my kiddo down the line. I’m a classically trained violinist. Everything they do makes sense to me, but is also just higher thinking, setting my kiddo up with a strong base. For example, when they put the bells/notes on an actual staff, just zoomed in. It is priming the kids to get use to where the notes will be in relation to the clef, lines and spaces. My 3 year old loves the bells/characters. He thinks he HAS to get a board out of the cupboard to use it just like Mr Rob has his bells set out. Also he loves to point out Baby Lil any time he sees her. I love that there are printables in the resource section of the app/site. I don’t love that it is cumbersome to find them. We use this product on the AppleTV app the most. We also have it on iPad and have used the website. The website is best organized but it’s not the most convenient way to play it so we don’t use it often. I wish something about the organization or layout of the apps would change to make more sense. A big wish is that I dont want to have to control the remote every 3 minutes to move my kiddo to the next song. I use that time for cooking and cleaning but it’s really tough to have to stop and change the video for him. I wish I could just select the C section and it would play through all of the videos, or at least auto play the next one after selecting one to start with. One great side effect is that while the 3 year old is playing, I’ve noticed the 12 month old saying the solfège scale, too. My wife has bars and has no trouble streaming any other videos/apps. We learned the first kid had perfect pitch from Mr Rob’s videos. Now we are trying to figure out kid #2. This program is a MUST for all parents who want their kid to develop hand-eye and listening coordination. Get the lifetime version! They sent out an email regarding 100 bells in stock for purchase on 11/28 and I went to their website to purchase one set for my son. When I didn’t even get a shipping info from them I started contacting their customer service on 12/10. It was only after I requested refund to Amazon Pay (12/14) that I got a response from Prodigies. They asked if I would wait until February, to which I said absolutely not and I just want my money back and do not wish to wait any longer since they haven’t shipped it. They shipped it the next day on 12/15 after I insisted I want a refund. Supposedly 2 day shipping and today it is 12/28. I am still waiting for the bell to leave east coast. I’ve contacted Amazon pay once again for refund and they are now saying since it’s been shipped I need to wait 30 days. This is the most ridiculous thing ever, if you don’t have bells to sell then don’t. If you have it and received payment, ship it. If you haven’t shipped in over 2 weeks and get a refund request then it’s only right that you refund the money. Don’t send the unwanted product a month late! After this I have such terrible taste in my mouth I can’t even bother with the bells anymore. Seriously forget it. I am refusing your product and filing complaint with credit card company. Blocking this company forever. Do not trust your money with them, this is horrible business practice. I have 4 kids age 4-8years. They enjoy the lessons, but they have no idea which one they stopped at the day before. So they are skipping lessons left and right and not getting the full value of the music instruction. $167/year subscription for 4 kids using 4 different emails is kind of nuts, financially and logistically. I noticed that when I use the app regularly, both my seven year-old and my three-year-old will sing the correct pitch for the note without any reference point. I have used it Prodigies both as a Mama of seven and as a music teacher for preschool and early elementary enrichment program. My kids absolutely LOVE the app! With my own children I use the app as a reward for completing less exciting priorities. I also really appreciate all the responsiveness from Prodigies team I’ve experienced over the years. Our 4yo son is neurodivergent and started Prodigies lessons about a year ago. The lessons foster growth and development in so many ways- socially, cognitively, motor skills, language, sensory, memory, turn taking..the list goes on. Mr. Rob and friends are so energized, happy, and cheerful. Our son is real big on emotions and loves a "happy face"! The lessons are colorful, creative, and engaging with a steady flow, which holds our son's attention. Streaming on the tv is our favorite family time. But the most important thing to us as parents is watching our son beam with pride and joy while playing his desk bells, signing solfège, and singing along to all the "sweet beets". We have been using it on and off for a couple of years and all four of our children love it! It’s sweet to see them all share the same knowledge in a subject. They each have their strengths when it comes to music and it’s neat to see those come out! We have recently started making it a routine part of our day since we are at a stage and place where we can finally do that! Our children are currently 2,4,6 and 8. I love that all of my children can learn this together, no matter where life takes us and, it will be a consistent educational experience. However, every time we access the app on our Roku, the videos don’t match up with the audio which is confusing for the kids. It works perfectly on our iphones & fire stick, but we have a Roku in the playroom so it’s a bummer that we can’t do music in there. Would be great if you guys could work on that bug!! **Developer response:** Hi there, The older versions of Roku run into audio-video sync issues. You could fix this by changing your resolution in the Display settings to 720p. Roku4K works best.
