### 2/5 — Bluetooth issue

*2020-11-22, version 1.2.2*

Why does the bed require manually connecting it to Bluetooth. It should auto connect every time phone is near enough to bed like it does with getting into a car Then will the app work but not if you do not fist close it down if running In background before manually connecting Bluetooth

### 2/5 — Needs update please

*2020-09-14, version 1.2.2*

Developers: this would be a great app if it were updated with Siri capability.

### 2/5 — It’s ok

*2019-08-31, version 1.2.1*

I expected so much more from this app. The basic functions work but it’s not user friendly. I can’t figure out how to set my own favorites, they seem preset. I wish there was a zero Gravity preset. I was told there was one on the app and would have picked another base if I’d known it wasn’t there. Can you add zero Gravity? I’m not even sure where to put the bed for that position. Also the timer function is not straightforward and appears to do nothing. Please improve!

### 2/5 — More Marketing Hype Than Benefit

*2018-12-03, version 1.2.1*

Anticipation of using this app - and the additional features it is advertised to deliver (beyond what can be done with the physical remote that comes with the bed), was a big contributing factor to my purchase of this very expensive bed.

Unfortunately the app/product doesn’t quite deliver. Had I known this I probably would have opted for a less expensive bed.

Here are the ongoing problems for which L&P remains silent and non-responsive:

1. Difficulty pairing - far too cumbersome, having to time powering up, lack of easy accessibility to the bed’s electronics, inconsistent behavior
2. Routine loss of BT connection to phone - I need to re-establish the connection every day! This is infuriating! No idea why this happens but it is consistent, and based on other reviews, is a common and pervasive issue.
3. Unclear Directions - still have no idea how to program custom bed positions or use the alarm clock. There is no documentation or help of any kind.

I remain disappointed, especially given the premium pricing of this bed. I had thought that L&P was a high quality, more dependable and customer-centric brand and company. Shame on you.

### 2/5 — Needs Help

*2018-10-10, version 1.2.1*

While I very happy with the bed the app leaves a lot to be desired. As other users have mentioned it is very difficult to use the remote control that came with the bed. The remote only illuminates after you touch one of the buttons unfortunately more often than not, you press the wrong button. A simple solution for the remote control that comes with the bed would be to have it aluminate as soon as you pick it up. Regarding the app it is difficult to program and you basically have the same problems as the remote that comes with the bed is difficult to use at night. The perfect solution for controlling the bed would be to add Siri integration so that you could just say hey Siri lower my bed to sleep position one etc.

PLEASE ADD SIRI INTEGRATION.

### 1/5 — Stupid, thoughtless app

*2017-08-27, version 1.0.3*

Split king. The iOS app connects to my wife's side only. The android app to neither side. The remote has a snore button. You would think it would operate my wife's side, but these genius figured that if I knew I was snoring I could hit the snore button to adjust my side not hers. Doesn't take a rocket scientist. These guys miss the mark by a mile.

### 2/5 — Awful Bluetooth Connection, Thoughtless Feature Development

*2017-08-09, version 1.0.3*

•Bluetooth connection must be re-established daily, often several times a day. This is ridiculous and extremely aggravating.
•You can't name the favorite positions that you save.
•There is no repeat alarm. You must set the alarm every day.
•Nothing on the app itself indicates whether the bed light is on or off, which means that you have to get out of bed to check.
•If you have a split-base for a single king mattress, it sometimes it raises one bed base more than the other, torquing the mattress.

### 2/5 — Great bed, horrible app

*2017-07-22, version 1.0.3*

The Prodigy 2 adjustable frame is great. But unfortunately the app needs some work. The user interface is terrible for doing anything other than manual control of the bed, and they already provide a very remote control to handle those functions.

The app has the ability to set a timer that will change the beds position to one of your favorites. Great idea, but the timer can't be set to repeat every night. So you must set each night. Plus it forces you to enter a duration by spinning non standard controls to set the number of hours a minutes on the timer.

The same problem for the wake alarm. It has no way to set the alarm for multiple days.

There are so many ways they could make this a great app that used the power of the smart phone to enhance the beds capabilities. For example, the bed has a snore setting that raises the head to reduce snoring. Why not have the app use the phones microphone to listen for snoring sounds and then put the bed in snore position if it hears snoring.

Please update the app!

### 2/5 — APP Needs updated

*2016-11-03, version 1.0.3*

Decent try at an APP for my adjustable bed, but is in dire need of an overhaul of the GUI. Needs more intuitive controls. Alarm function works; however, no setting for daily alarm, etc. Only one time alarm and it goes by a countdown of time vs. Actual time of the day. L&P - Please update!!!

### 1/5 — Sioxkn

*2016-09-11, version 1.0.2*

Leggett!!! Sure your execs sleep on your adjustable beds so why do these apps keep sucking so badly? It just seems like these were developed as an afterthought by some cheap app development company just so you could "have that feature". Take the opportunity to use this as a unique feature and allow yourself to shine. We all know you make the best bases- now use your creativity to make a good app to pair with it! I could have designed this in a day or two- come on!!

### 2/5 — Old school

*2016-07-09, version 1.0.2*

I think my buddy could make a better program that is more updated how it looks and how it works I did buy this bed for the alarm and they make it sound like the alarm is on the remote The bed is built well the remote is old-school and the program is old-school almost looks like a Atari program

### 1/5 — Prodigy 2

*2016-05-21, version 1.0.2*

Only gave this app 1 star because I could not given it a lower rating. Blue tooth connection is continually lost. Took 2 weeks to receive the alarm clock upgrade that the bed was originally advertised to have. The bed is great. To bad the they don't have anyone to produce an app that actually works !!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Useless

*2022-11-28, version 1.2.2*

What good is an app if it has to be manually reconnected each and every night? Called customer service and stayed on hold for 90 minutes with no answer. Second time, left my number for a call back and nothing. Would not recommend in the slightest.

### 1/5 — App stopped working

*2021-04-20, version 1.2.2*

I have had this bed for approximately 2 years. Everything worked great for the first 18 months then I started having to reconnect the Bluetooth connection in my iPhone’s settings menu when I wanted to control the bed. Now even with it connected in the Bluetooth settings, the app still doesn’t see the bed, or the bed doesn’t see the app... either way I’m stuck with using the remote that came with the bed now...

### 1/5 — Constantly Needs Resetting

*2019-08-30, version 1.2.1*

This would be a fairly good app if it worked. It is constantly disconnecting from the network and the bed needs to be disconnected before it establishes a connection again. There is no rhyme or reason for its behavior. It will work and although nothing is changed or moved, it will suddenly not work.

It is frustrating because the app has more functionality than the remote and also because the last thing I need is another remote that needs to be accessible when in my bed.

### 1/5 — Don’t buy this bed based on the App

*2018-10-06, version 1.2.1*

The timer doesn’t work. It would be great if it did so you could have bed in upright reading position and set to make it in sleep position with the timer. It’s just a bad app with bad reviews. Don’t know why they don’t update and fix it.

### 1/5 — Alarm randomly comes on multiple times every

*2018-09-25, version 1.2.1*

I like the bed frame and the remote isn’t bad. However is soon as I installed the app and set the alarm to try it out it has randomly going off ever since multiple times a night. I am on my third call to the company and they don’t seem to be in a hurry to fix it. obviously they’re not the ones losing sleep every single night! I wish I would’ve never bought this bedframe.

### 1/5 — Total app fail

*2018-09-22, version 1.2.1*

Just purchased bed for all the “ functionality” through app . Love the base but can’t get app to connect via Bluetooth.

### 1/5 — The manufacturer should be ashamed.

*2018-04-02, version 1.2.1*

One of L&P’s selling points was the app. (The physical remote that comes with the bed is sub-standard—good luck using it at night after you’ve turned off your bedside lamp). The app didn’t function when I bought the bed, and following an update, it still doesn’t remember the Bluetooth connection. I like the bed, but the manufacturer promised an app and they haven’t come through. If this is enough of an issue for you, I would consider going elsewhere for an adjustable bed frame. This company doesn’t keep its end of the bargain.

### 1/5 — Decent bed , WORST APP and app is required

*2018-03-29, version 1.2.1*

UPDATE mar 28, 2018:
Surprised to see the app is finally getting some updates, however the Bluetooth issues aren’t resolved in anyway.
Every single time I open the app I have to either go to settings Bluetooth and reconnect to the bed, or crawl under my bed pull the power plug plug it back in and redo the entire Bluetooth discovery/sink process again, just to get the app to function at all. (So app and 50% features the bed is sold with do NOT work at ALL)
More than likely nothing was changed in this app/update. And as a PR/sales tool they just pushed out an update with change log “enhanced Bluetooth” lie.

END UPDATE.

Just like all the other reviewer‘s, the Bluetooth constantly keeps disconnecting on both my iPhone 7, as well as my new iPad). Worst of all- to access many of the basic, advertised, features such as sleep timer or more than two presets , You Must Use the App.

Zero Updates to the App (So clearly they don’t care) , but Worst all the app just about never works because the Bluetooth connection is constantly lost (thus you launch the app or go back to the app, and it just says no connection and you can’t use the app).

I Purchased the bed new in November 2017, so obviously they aren’t doing anything to address this issue.

### 1/5 — Timer setting block the screen

*2018-03-14, version 1.2*

Timer setting blocks the screen so no other function can be used like massage mode etc. ideally I would like to set the timer on the set s massage mode watch tv fall asleep to tv and st the timer of say 1 hour Thebes sets to flat. But I can’t since when I set timer I can’t use any other function. This should be an easy fix can you please update the app???

### 1/5 — Bad app bad bed

*2018-02-02, version 1.0.3*

The app doesn’t stay connected so it’s useless. Cant even use it. The bed snore function doesn’t work. Cant try it on the app because the app doesn’t work.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Working Fine with my IPad’s

*2019-10-08, version 1.2.1*

I have a split king, so when I went to pair I saw 2 devices with same name. The bed selector makes it look like you can pair with both, but that does not work. Anyway, you have to play around a few times to ID the correct bed and then forget the other bed from a Bluetooth pairing perspective. Do the same process again on mate’s device and all good to go.
The manual tells you how to save your own favorite.

Please fix this app so it can go sideways on an iPad.

### 5/5 — The app and all the features work

*2018-11-27, version 1.2.1*

I’m giving the app 5 stars because it works and all of its features work. It’s pretty great, actually.
Now there were some issues. I had to call support to get it paired, so the base is a bit finicky. That isn't the app’s fault though. Phone support was super helpful. The other issue I had was figuring out which app to download. I purchased the 700 series adjustable base from Mattress Firm. The manual doesn't even mention that the base has bluetooth, much less that to use it you download an app that has an entirely unrelated name. Again, that isn't the app’s fault. The app works flawlessly.

### 5/5 — Awesome app!

*2016-02-27, version 1.0.0*

Finally a seamless bridge between comfort and technology!

### 4/5 — Must Read Online Instructions

*2022-05-23, version 1.2.2*

It took me a while to figure this out. You have to unplug the bed, then on your phone, turn on Bluetooth pairing, pair the bed to your phone - you have 2 minutes to pair it. If you are asked for a code it’s 4,3,2,1.

Once it’s paired it works great. There are actually more functions and features than what I had on the remote. You can pair more than one bed, set a massage timer for the length you choose, and there are 4 possible saved favorite positions.

I’m really happy with this app, the remotes were very banged up and it costs hundreds of dollars to replace one remote!

### 4/5 — Works now!

*2018-08-29, version 1.2.1*

Edit: my bed finally paired with my phone. I had the Bluetooth menu open waiting to see the bed appear as I reset it to pairing mode. The prodigy app was running in the background. I gave up when the bed never appeared in the list and exited out of settings. Then a minute later I got a notification from the app to accept a request for the bed to pair! And the bed was out of pairing mode by the time I accepted. Yay. I like the app a lot, although it’s not as great as it sounded in the ad, mostly because I don’t bother with my own memory settings, the massage isn’t so useful, and my husband won’t let me use the alarm. The sleep function is great though.

Old review:
I’m not sure if it’s the app or the bed, but my prodigy 2.0+ will not show up on my iPod 6, despite saying it is compatible and staring at it as I plug it in, for long after the light stops blinking. One of the reasons I bought this bed was for the features you can only access on the app. I’m sorely disappointed that the Bluetooth can not be paired.

### 4/5 — Works great!

*2016-08-04, version 1.0.2*

I would of rated this five stars if not for the manufacturer failing to provide install documentation for the App. All features work perfect, but there was no guidance included to set it up. I had to get it through my Seller who had to request it from Leggett and Platt. They provided it quickly, so I'll give them four stars. The interface is adequate and there are no delays in executing the commands. Very convenient to have both sides of our Split King on one iOS device.

### 3/5 — App works great but.....

*2018-12-25, version 1.2.1*

App works great but my only issue is with Bluetooth connection. No problems with pairing the bed with my iPad or iPhone but the one and only issue is that the bed will not automatically connect to my iPad (iPad already paired). I have to go into my settings each night and connect. Kind of pain and hope there is an update to fix.

### 3/5 — App will not stay connected

*2017-11-09, version 1.0.3*

I have to re connect the Bluetooth and re set the app every few minutes to keep it connected
NEEDS AN UPDATE

### 3/5 — Need help

*2016-09-04, version 1.0.2*

I can't get the timer to work. My understanding is that with the timer you can fall asleep sitting up and then set the timer to go flat after so many minutes. Ive tried several ways but still get nothing. Help??

### 3/5 — Does not include all advertised features

*2016-04-15, version 1.0.1*

The marketing for the Prodigy 2 base claimed that the app would provide gentle wake alarm and "fully dimmable" under bed lighting that "can be programmed with the alarm clock to create a refreshing wake-up scene." (See the features tab on the product page at the manufacturers website.)

Neither of these features are offered in this app, but the most recent update does add more of the advertised features that were previously missing, so I have raised my rating from one star to three stars.

Also, there are no instructions on how to connect and set up the app, so that took quite a bit of trial and error on my part. I'm pretty technically savvy, and the setup would likely be impossible for those less technically inclined.

Contacted the manufacturer again and still could not find anyone there that had any knowledge about the app.

Hopefully the remaining missing features will be added soon in another update, and appropriate setup instructions will be provided.
