Only fix is to uninstall and reinstall. From sign in to UX, it is very limited. That aside, Prodigy’s service in general is a joke. They take forever to recognize payments, their customer service is fleeting when you need them the most and fees and interest rates are absurd. I’d advise anyone NOT to sign a loan with Prodigy EVER. ### 2/5 — Always gets logged out *2021-06-06* One of the most annoying issues with this app is that it won't stay logged in. It forces me to login every single time. I would like to see more details about my loans to be easily accessible instead having me to go thru the statements. It's gotten better over time but there are still basic features lacking. ### 1/5 — Loan Shark + Useless App *2021-05-21, version 1.9.4* Stay away from Prodigy Finance if you can. They are a horrible loan shark with the worst possible collection process you’d ever experience. Stay away! Also, the app is rubbish. It hardly works. And I tried the same creds and app on droid. Works good over there. If you want to pay more money they charge you on that too. Every transaction is priced. The interest amount keeps shooting and no consolidation for students. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2025-09-24* Bad, unintuitive UX. When you call Prodigy directly, they don’t have the ability to do much that the app can’t, either. Very disappointing. Prodigy needs to get with the times and invest in their technology. ### 1/5 — Terrible Support for Borrowers *2025-08-19* I’m really disappointed with Prodigy Finance’s customer service. It was easy to talk to someone before I became a borrower, but once I got the loan, it became nearly impossible to reach a real person. I’ve tried emailing, calling, and using WhatsApp — but all I get are automated replies or bots that can’t help with my specific situation. I even called multiple times, and it just kept saying no one was available to answer. When you’re dealing with something as important as student loan repayments, especially as an international student, it’s super frustrating to feel like no one’s there to support you. I hope they seriously improve their customer service and actually make it possible to speak to a human being when you need help. ### 1/5 — Cannot see Statements *2025-06-13* The developers completely messed up the latest update and you cannot access loan statements anymore (even though the option is supposed to be there). ### 1/5 — Worst service *2024-09-05* One of the worst. They don’t respond properly. The most regrettable thing. We can see the loan statements, make ACH payments and also save the payment details. This has saved me a lot of time tracking my payments and balances. Low review ratings is from the previous versions. Prodigy supported our education with reasonable interest rates, convenient process and now easier payments too. This has saved me a lot of time, money and stress. The app is excellent, however I would love for an option to save payment info so that I don’t have to type it manually every time (I make multiple payments a month). Also currently if I press the home button to look something up the app logs me out which becomes frustrating however it might be due to security. Overall excellent product **Developer response:** Thanks for the suggestion! We've now added a fix so that you can save payment info. We'll also increase the time lag before the app logs you out when you press the home button. We do want the app to be secure, but not frustrating.
