## What is Prodigy Lightfield?

Hold an intention and see what chance does.

Every second, Prodigy Lightfield reads hundreds of random bits and transforms them into light. The color shows which way the randomness is drifting, while the brightness shows how far it has moved.

Most of the time, the field remains dim, gently wandering through its colors as randomness behaves much as expected. But when the drift becomes statistically unusual, the field opens into a radiant rainbow: a coherence event.

Watch Lightfield full screen, or float it in a small window while you use other apps. You can even share a field with a friend anywhere in the world and watch the same changes together in real time.

When something meaningful, surprising, or simply interesting happens, you can mark the moment: turn on the Mark button in Settings, under Advanced, and it joins the bar. When you tap "Stop," Lightfield saves the complete session, including its peak, every coherence event, every mark you made, and the statistical odds associated with it. A free Prodigy Account keeps your sessions synced across your devices.

Everything above is free.

Lightfield Plus expands the experience with random bits from a quantum source at the Australian National University, four additional color themes, notes for your marks, and Room Light.

With Room Light, Lightfield can send the field’s color to one or more Matter lights in your home, allowing the light around you to change in real time with the field on your screen.

Lightfield Plus is an auto-renewable subscription, monthly or yearly, with a seven-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings.

### 5/5 — Better than a Wyrd light

*2026-09-30*

So this app does the same thing as a Wyrd light or lights like that. It uses streams of quantum random numbers that you can literally influence with your intentions. It is really cool when it hits a rainbow with coherence. The killer feature is that you can connect it to Matter smart bulbs and it changes their color in sync with the app. Super cool.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-10-03

A Welcome Tour opens the first time you use the app and walks you through every screen, from the field to Room Light. Replay it any time from Help.

Help is rewritten, with a picture in the chapters that show you where to find things.

Mark is now an option in Settings, under Advanced. It is off until you turn it on, and the tour's Mark page has the same switch. Markers you already made stay in your sessions.

Room Light reconnects to your lights on its own after your phone changes networks.

Also: a terms page the first time the app opens, a Release Notes link under the version number in Settings, the Info chip is now Help, and sign-out, account changes, and purchases each run once and finish cleanly.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-30

Settings now has a Lightfield Plus card with your status, Restore Purchases, and Manage Subscription.

Your sessions now match on every device you sign in on. Delete a run on one and it's gone from the rest too, and a run you're still recording can't be removed from another device.

When you host a Shared Field, its code counts down, and you can open a new one if it expires.

Also a cleaner session chart, controls that fit at larger text sizes, and fixes for sign-out on shared devices and sync.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-30
