## What is Proelium 2?

Few rules, plenty of game. The tactical minimalism of Proelium returns, now improved and with a new feature that transforms matches. Proelium 2 is a turn-based game inspired by classic board games like checkers and the Roman latrones, with very few rules to memorize, but deep gameplay with room to develop your own playing style.

THREE SIMPLE RULES, MANY POSSIBILITIES
- Block enemies by surrounding them on two flanks
- Form battle lines (syntagmas) that move together
- Push smaller enemy formations

After the original Proelium we asked ourselves: how can we improve the concept without adding complexity, without new pieces or properties to memorize? Since the original was based on an abstraction of hoplite combat, we also sought the solution in the Greek way of fighting: the formation of battle lines called 'syntagmas'.
