It’s just too bad it’s a crapshoot every time I open the app whether I’ll get to listen to actual content or an endless stream of ads. Sometimes it will even go to ads in the middle of a program and never return to the show. I wish the developers would respond to these reviews and fix the problem. I’m on iOS, fwiw. ### 2/5 — Great content, when it works *2023-09-04* Love the content of the app. I wake up to listen to Stephanie Miller. But we’ll over 50% of the time I get an unending string of PSAs and ads. It’s worse than unreliable, it’s toxically annoying. And unfortunately it lives up to the stereotype of liberal media. The right wing stuff is ubiquitous and mostly on reliably functional platforms. Please fix it!!! ### 2/5 — Great content;frustrating app! *2023-07-03* Terrific content, when I can get to it. More than 50% of the time all I can get is an endless stream of ads. When I can actually get to the programming ihe app is very stable, even in the background. Please, developers, I beg you. However, once in a while I lose it and have to delete the app and reinstall it for it work again. Not the biggest deal in world but it can be a bit annoying. Many times they play 2 programs at once so you hear one in the background. So annoying I have to turn it off. I can’t use it anymore. I try accessing PV via the website and that doesn’t work anymore either. ### 4/5 — Very responsive, PV! *2020-02-25, version 3.2* Editing to update my review. You’ve fixed it! Thank you for addressing the issues quickly! The Progressive Voices app has worked reasonably well, or at least well enough, until recently. Now, it doesn’t work, period. Two generations (i.e. a week or so) ago, I could at least get it to play, though the moment my phone went to sleep or I left the app, it’d stop. After the latest update, it won’t play at all. These seem like pretty basic functions that should have been tested and addressed before release. I’ll keep watching for an update that fixes the app, but in the meantime, you’ve lost me. Not because I don’t like the app, but because it completely doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — Audio issues *2020-02-19, version 3.1* You keep playing break audio over Thom’s show. It happens all the time and lasts a long time. It makes it impossible to listen. Are you asleep at the controls? I can no longer listen in the car while driving which is when I usually hear the shows. Used to be able to keep map up and listen at the same time. Update quashed that. I have to tap the screen on my iPhone to make sure the app stays on. It’s a shame. Audio will only play when the screen is on and open to the app. Background audio no longer works. Sadly, though progressive radio is nothing more than a storehouse of commercials after commercials after commercials. they will do as many as a dozen commercials in a row before you actually hear maybe two or three minutes of actual Content, and then the commercials continue. I sadly believe this once progressive Station has literally been taken over by the enemy. There are many ways to hear the truth especially of heroes like Stephanie Miller and Randi Rhodes. This is not one of them. Stay away from this fraud. ### 1/5 — it worked in MN but not in MA *2024-05-05, version 3.4* not sure if something happened in between my move from MN to MA last year but now it’s useless and annoying and I don’t get it, especially in an election year. I don’t know if it’s a satellite issue or something else, but I don’t get anything but non-stop commercials and ads, NO CONTENT. It’s been going on for weeks. Can’t listen to Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartman, anyone. Time of day doesn’t matter, this app no longer works. I even deleted it and downloaded again. NOPE! This app doesn’t have the advertising garbage every time you open it.
