I really wish he would’ve read the reviews before buying, our experience has been the same as every other review and quite frankly I don’t know how they are able to keep selling this product. It is dangerous, the app is constantly freezing and disconnecting. There’s time when it won’t allow me to connect at all. Thankfully I have an older daughter who’s room is right next to baby and her and I are constantly checking on baby. Yes it sounds nice but promise you will regret it. Horrible horrible monitor ### 1/5 — Frustrating *2020-06-16, version 3.3.4* Completely unreliable. Always showing network error, camera offline, or just wont load. I dont know who is in charge of designing and updating this app but with an average of 1 star ratings you think that would find someone new. The camera range, quality, and picture are just fine. The application is terrible. It disconnects nightly so we don’t know if our baby is awake crying or not. We rely on the app with the sound on in the background of our phone while sleeping and it consistently fails. We go through periods where the app won’t connect for us to even be able to see what is happening in our nursery. We do not have an internet or WiFi problem in our home...just a bad product problem. Please, do not waste your time or money using this product. **I can’t leave a review without selecting a rating so please disregard the 1 star rating** ### 1/5 — Worst App on My Phone *2020-02-21, version 3.3.4* If this app weren’t necessary to operate a pricey camera that I unfortunately already sank money into, it would have been deleted LONG ago. It’s completely unreliable, and even when it does decide to work, it lags and freezes constantly. We have to turn the WiFi off on our phone to even get it to work. Nothing else in the house has WiFi issues. It’s the worst. I tried to return my camera, but because I don’t have the receipt (camera was a gift) I’m stuck with it. ### 1/5 — Works very inconsistently *2020-02-13, version 3.3.4* You never know if this camera is going to work. It regularly loses connection. Lately I’ve had to stop using it completely because it keeps making very loud beeps that wake up my child (due to connection issues?). An update to software is badly needed. The camera quality is good when it works, and so is night vision. It just can’t stay connected. This problem used to be really mild, but now it’s constant. ### 1/5 — Save your money *2020-02-01, version 3.3.4* WHY CANT I GUVE THIS ZERO STARS!?!? Go with another camera. This one will make you want to throw your phone out the window. Which would be a shame since it’s not the phone that’s the problem, it’s the camera system. It hardly ever works.. honestly it works about 5% of the time. My baby is only 6 months old and it’s only worked a handful of times. Customer service is useless, pretty much told me tough luck and hopefully I can return it wherever I got it. SAVE YOUR MONEY. PLEASE DONT BE ROPED IN BY ALL THE COOL THINGS IT CLAIMS TO DO. it’s just so awful and I wish I saw these review before throwing my money out. ### 1/5 — Worst baby monitor ever *2020-01-21, version 3.3.4* This baby monitor seemed awesome since you could watch the baby from anywhere, so when on a trip you could watch your beautiful baby sleeping. But this has been the worst baby monitor we have ever used. Either the camera is offline or needs to be reloaded. Your baby could be crying in the middle of the night and you wouldn’t know because the app had failed. We tried multiple times to reset or download the camera again unsuccessfully. Would not recommend this monitor ever. ### 1/5 — Awful *2019-12-21, version 3.3.3* Do not get this monitor! Waste of money. There has been time where it would froze, camera offline and monitor resetting itself. I’m hard of hearing and I rely on the monitor when my daughter is up from her nap or from bedtime. It has been the 3rd time where we don’t get notifications. Not just for a week, it would be for a month and a half, then suddenly it worked at 3am in the morning and continued to for about 2 weeks. I’m constantly checking the monitor. It is very frustrating! My husband and I are buying a different one and once the new one comes, this project nursing monitor is going to the garbage! ### 1/5 — The worst *2019-11-01, version 3.3.1* This monitor and corresponding app are garbage. 8/10 times it says reload when I open it to check on baby. The app itself doesn’t work with Alexa show, so I have to leave it running on my phone and it drains my battery. Now I’m having issues with getting notifications, I haven’t even been able to sleep at night because I’m worried I won’t be notified when my daughter cries THIS APP NEEDS AN UPDATE ### 1/5 — 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 *2019-10-17, version 3.3.1* For as expensive as this camera was, it’s really a waste of money when the application constantly fails, freezes, or just won’t load. I can’t even count how many time I’ve tried to monitor my baby from another room only to have to walk in there to check on him because the app froze the camera. The amount of time and energy it takes to use the monitor app only to leave the room for 15 minutes just isn’t worth it. It’s so unfortunate that this camera/Alexa combo cost so much and the app never works. Don’t bother with this set up!! Trust me! ### 1/5 — Completely unreliable *2019-07-18, version 3.3.1* I’ve really wanted to like this monitor system & the fact that it’s WiFi enabled & came with the Alexa speaker was very appealing. However, I really wish I would’ve read the reviews before purchasing this awful, unreliable product (which was ridiculously expensive for the poor service). The camera itself is great as far as the picture & night vision, but the sound quality is only so-so (can barely hear baby unless he really starts to cry especially at night when I’m in a sound sleep), but the camera is utterly useless when the app is constantly freezing or losing its connection to the camera, which is way more often than not. I’m not sure if it’s the app or the camera causing it, but certainly not my WiFi considering we have absolutely no issue with any other devices. I’m not sure if the app needs some major updating or what, but overall this product is highly disappointing & honestly dangerous bc I can’t rely on it, especially during the night when baby could be at most danger. Now I’m faced with the fact that, unfortunately, we are going to have to buy another monitor....what a waste of money. ### 1/5 — Buy a different camera *2019-07-15, version 3.3.1* For the price of the camera, I would have expected an app that I could connect to easily. My wife and I are constantly struggling with the app crashing (usually in the middle of the night), not being able to communicate with the camera, alerts not being sent to our phones, or not being able to sign into the app. The camera picture quality is good but other than that, you’re wasting your money. There are other options, don’t buy this camera. ### 1/5 — App just doesn't work *2019-07-03, version 3.3.1* The camera is great. The app, not so much. Camera always shows offline in the app the only exception being if you use the multi-camera view and even then only works 25% of the time. It's basically a baby monitor that can't monitor babies because of the app. ### 1/5 — Weak app *2019-05-21, version 3.3.1* This camera is amazing when it’s working properly. However, that isn’t always the case. About 90% of the time the camera doesn’t want to turn on just says reload. Sometimes if I refresh the app a few times it works but those are far and few. The reliability just isn’t there. So this camera is useless without the app. Upsetting to know I can’t trust my camera to monitor when my son in is crib. ### 1/5 — Worst App *2019-05-03, version 3.3.1* I’ve never downloaded a worse app. I can’t even say I’ve used it, because it hasn’t worked on 3 different phones of mine. It’ll download, but won’t function beyond the opening screen. Helen Keller would’ve been a more suitable babysitter. ### 1/5 — The video stops and when is working have 5min delay. *2019-04-26, version 3.3.1* Besides that sometimes does not let me log In the App. The product is expensive enough to work properly more when it comes to work for babies. Totally disappointed. ### 1/5 — Can’t get camera to connect or anyone from customer service *2019-04-14, version 3.3.1* Have had zero luck trying to connect this camera via WiFi. Tried multiple WiFi sources. Also, customer service is never available and only 9-5 as if their customers don’t work too. Genius idea- make customer service available on the weekend or evenings when people are likely trying to install this. Too many other options available to frustrate yourself with this system. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible Product DO NOT PURCHASE *2023-05-21* While the picture and sound quality are great and the ability to move the camera around easily and without disturbing the baby is also great, arguably the most import piece of the puzzle, the app, is complete garbage. It’s extremely unreliable (a common theme among other reviews) and never allowed more than one person to be in the app at a time. And clearly Project Nursery does not care about the poor quality of it’s product bc these types of negative reviews have consistently come in for years. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS. ### 1/5 — Strongly don’t recommend *2022-06-10, version 3.3.6* Go with a larger name brand camera that is cheaper and more reliable. I have no idea why they have made this thing so buggy. I should have just FaceTimed a cheap flip phone and that would have been better ### 1/5 — Disappointed and waste of device *2021-07-06, version 3.3.4* We tried our best to register on wifi and mobile data, it wouldn’t even connect. The app had a hard time registering and completing set up couldn’t get past it. Highly not recommended for purchase! ### 1/5 — Waste of money! The speaker via app is hit or miss. Attempted to uninstall then reinstall and refresh page hundreds of times. The app now also force closing right after the page won’t load. ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2021-01-06, version 3.3.4* When the app and camera work, they work great. Unfortunately, it only works about 10% of the time. More often than not when trying to connect, I get the camera offline message when there is no reason for it to be. Our wifi has been flawless with everything except the cameras, so I know that isn’t the issue. If they would fix the connection issues this could be a decent setup, but considering how long this has been going on with no fix, I know that won’t happen. ### 1/5 — Terrible/unreliable *2020-07-24, version 3.3.4* This app is complete trash. It is so unreliable, it seems to only work when you’re in your house on the same WiFi. But anytime i step out of the house, it doesn’t refresh or it just shuts out of the app as soon as I try to open it. ### 1/5 — Disappointed with this app *2020-07-16, version 3.3.4* My boyfriend and I were gifted the monitor as a baby shower present. The camera itself works great but this app needs much improvement. The video constantly goes out and even though you tap the screen to reload, it doesn’t. When it does want to work, it freezes. Very unreliable - especially at night when my son is sleeping. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2020-06-20, version 3.3.4* I was really excited about this monitor but have since been so disappointed. I have had this monitor for a year now and just have to deal with the fact that it takes me 20 minutes to get the app to connect to the camera. And sometimes it doesn’t even happen at all. Really frustrating and should not be happening with a baby monitor as we really need to be checking in frequently and at random. Will have to buy a new one. I could be on a 5g internet connection IN THE SAME HOUSE AS THE CAMERA and the feed STILL won’t load but I’ll still get bombarded with notifications. Save your money and get one of the $500 cams from a different company. ### 4/5 — Good app except *2018-07-21, version 3.3.1* This app has been good except that the video sometimes freezes when it’s in landscape/full screen mode. I don’t always pay attention to the time stamp and it gives me a scare when I don’t see signs of life. Now I remember to check to make sure the time is advancing before freaking out. ### 3/5 — Overall I’m satisfied *2018-09-14, version 3.3.1* I kind of feel like I should’ve just stuck with having best cameras... because this does not work with Our Echo Spot or Echo Show. No way to reduce frequency not even for temperature notifications. Kills your phone battery. Sound from our child comes through quiet even though the camera is close by. However, now every time I try to login the app times out, or if I actually can get in and try to load the camera it can’t connect.
