## What is Project Summit?

It started with a race I wasn't ready for: 360 km of gravel in a single day. I prepared for it with three different apps —one to train, one to recover, one to eat— that didn't talk to each other. I copied data from one to the next by hand and paid for three subscriptions. I made it through, but I knew something better had to exist: a single app that did the work of a coach. That's Project Summit.

Summit is not an AI or a chatbot. It's a sports-science algorithm that mimics the decisions of a real coach: periodization, polarized training and training load (TSS) as its engine. No people-pleasing answers, no plans that contradict themselves week to week. A plan that knows what it's doing.

IT ADAPTS TO YOUR BODY, EVERY DAY
Summit reads your HRV, resting heart rate and sleep from Apple Health while you sleep. Bad night and low recovery? It swaps your intervals for an easy session and moves the key workout to another day, without you touching a thing. High recovery? It takes the window and raises the intensity. Fitness is earned when the body is ready, not when the calendar says so.

IT ADAPTS TO YOUR LIFE
Your week isn't fixed: work, kids, errands, surprises. Tell Summit how much time you really have each day. No room today? No problem. Thirty minutes just appeared? Let it know and it plans the right workout. The plan fits your life, not the other way around.

BUILT FOR THOSE WHO RIDE WITH POWER
- eFTP and power curve with continuous estimation via the CP model. No manual tests.
- Critical power and anaerobic capacity calculated from your rides.
- Performance Management Chart: CTL, ATL and TSB in real time. The numbers serious cyclists actually use.

RACE DAY, IN DETAIL
A minute-by-minute nutrition and hydration plan based on your race duration, your weight and the weather where you'll race. With the gels, bars and drinks you actually use, not generic products.

CONNECTED TO YOUR ECOSYSTEM
Sync with Strava and Hammerhead Karoo natively and push workouts to Garmin, Zwift and MyWhoosh via intervals.icu. Also compatible with Apple Health. Your data where you already train.

IS IT FOR YOU?
For the amateur cyclist who's serious about improving, whether they race or not. Whether you're preparing a gran fondo, chasing a personal goal or just want to ride stronger. What counts is training with power and with your head. If you want structure and data, not empty motivation, this is your app.

Built by a cyclist, for cyclists. The Gran Diagonal —crossing Portugal from north to south— I prepared for it 100% with Summit. What I use is what you get.

Train harder. Smarter.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.0 — 2026-07-29

What's new

- New sleep scoring engine, with an expanded detail view: comparison against your historical median, a sleep debt chart, stages and rhythm.
- Recovery, Sleep and Load are now three separate cards in Today. The Recovery detail shows where today's value falls within your personal range, and coach insights read your trend over the past month, not just today's value.
- New optional notifications, each with its own toggle in Settings: disconnected integration, fitness improvement, race reminder, weekly summary, and an ease-off alert after several days of low recovery.

Fixes

- A double count of heart rate and HRV between Sleep and Recovery was distorting both scores.
- Elevation, power or HR data was missing on some activities due to a caching issue.
- Karoo activities without a power meter could lose the rest of their data (HR, elevation, speed, cadence).
- A second recovery measurement in the morning could change your workout for no real reason.
- A planned workout could change its duration or intensity on the same day.

Other minor fixes and stability improvements.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-07-23

What's new

- New Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets: check your recovery, sleep and load scores, and today's workout, without opening the app.
- Completely redesigned onboarding: more visual and faster, with Summit's value proposition from the very first moment and the option to enter your FTP.
- New power record notification: when you beat your all-time best in any of the 16 durations on your curve, we let you know.
- Free users now see the outline of their plan (type, duration and phase of each session), as a preview of the full planning.

Fixes

- The "Structure" list in the workout detail showed incorrect zone or intensity for single-repetition blocks.
- The Analysis panel could stay empty when opening an activity.
- Karoo activities without power were saved without their charts.
- The monthly calendar could show a non-existent workout on days with no availability.
- Contradictory messages in Today during a rest day within a taper.
- The CP model curve could extend beyond the chart in the Power tab.

Other minor fixes and stability improvements.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-07-12

What's new

- Redesigned activity detail: tabbed navigation (Summary, HR, Power, Analysis), a route map in the header and a visual comparison between planned and executed, rep by rep, with your historical power curve as a reference.
- Redesigned special event card (races, camps, holidays): stage-by-stage weather forecast (with heat alerts ≥30°C and extreme heat ≥35°C) and your saved race nutrition plan, with more context in the countdown and multi-day event progress.
- New execution analysis based on the real laps recorded by your device, more reliable: your easy rides and recovery outings now get analysis too, not just interval workouts.
- The Calendar now clearly distinguishes when you completed the workout, when you did it partially, and when you went for a free ride on a day with a planned session.
- New shareable card style featuring your route, a cover photo on outdoor rides, plus a route thumbnail on activity cards.
- Expanded free access: route, stats and elevation in the activity detail are now visible without a subscription; heart rate, power and analysis remain in Pro or Elite.
- When you complete the workout for a special event (like your target race), you'll see a single combined card with the actual result.

Improvements

- Smoother, faster Calendar, with no flicker when navigating between months and days.
- Usability improvements, including a more realistic anaerobic battery (W'bal) indicator on long rides, cleaner elevation, power and HR charts, and an optional alert when a new version is available.

Fixes

- Creating a special event or certain plan adjustments could mistakenly erase the record of an already-completed workout.
- A free ride on a day with a planned session could show an interval breakdown you didn't actually do.
- Today's workout could still show as pending even after you'd completed it.
- The execution chart (planned vs. actual) and interval detail didn't appear on some Strava and Karoo activities.
- A planned workout could disappear from the Calendar when logging another unrelated activity.

Other minor fixes and stability improvements.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-07-07

What's new

- Automatic Hammerhead Karoo sync: your activities import on their own when you connect the device, you see the source (Strava/Karoo) on each activity, and your power curve and personal records stay consistent wherever your data comes from.
- Workouts exported to your device now include descriptions and instructions based on your phone's language.

Improvements

- Clearer free trial: you now see the exact date your free access runs until before billing starts.
- The weekly availability button has moved to Calendar, next to add event, so you can edit it where you see the weeks it affects.
- Clearer, simpler confidence indicator for your estimated FTP (eFTP).

Fixes

- Activities that didn't show on the selected day's calendar even though the dot appeared.
- Blank activity detail when some sensor data was missing.
- Missing elevation profiles on older activities.
- Incorrect power zones when exporting workouts to Karoo or intervals.icu.
- When you skipped your key workout, an alternative plan sometimes wasn't generated the next day.

Other minor fixes and stability improvements.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-06-30

What's new

- Hammerhead Karoo connection: send the day's workout to your Karoo with one tap.
- Interval execution analysis: for workouts in your plan, a graded score plus the target vs. actual detail for each interval.
- Automatic Strava summaries in your activity descriptions.

Improvements

- Realistic FTP test: now you can truly go all-out on Zwift and Garmin (the trainer used to cap you).
- Sharper coach tips, adapted to the real type of each session.

Fixes

- Fixed indoor activity detail that showed up blank.
- Other fixes and stability improvements.
