## What is ProjectorCalc?

Winner of the 2010 Live Design Projection Product of the Year - Software/App Category

ProjectorCalc is a program for professional lighting technicians and projectionists. Its primary purpose is to determine the size of a projected image given various information about the projector and it's location.

ProjectorCalc allows users to enter details for a projector and its location in relation to a projection surface.

ProjectorCalc will calculate image width, image height, diagonal length, brightness in Nits, total projected area, and how many pixels per inch the projected image will be.

Additionally, ProjectorCalc can give you an estimate of how much keystone distortion will occur by calculating the length of each side of the distorted image.

## Key features

- Calculate image width, height, and diagonal length
- Determine brightness in Nits
- Calculate total projected area
- Compute pixels per inch
- Estimate keystone distortion

### 5/5 — The best out there for 3D mapping!

*2017-07-02, version 1.5.6*

I used this app years ago with a previous iOS. It seems they recently upgraded it, and I couldn't be happier. For anyone doing large or small scale 3-D projection mapping projects, this app is simply the best out there. It isn't perfect and there is room for improvement - but this is the most versatile, simple, and helpful tool out there. Provides fast, accurate, and even off axis calculations. I have programmed entire projection festivals using this one tool. Pretty amazing! A big thank you to the developers!

### 1/5 — Where the Zoom Adjust???

*2015-05-07, version 0*

I set my parameters and use the zoom adjust to see what lens I need! Now this is useless to me!

### 4/5 — Great app

*2011-02-16, version 0*

Well done, really usefull .....but really needs metric as an option.

### 1/5 — Here here!

*2011-02-05, version 0*

Meters will make this app usable for all!!! Please add the option in for the price your asking! Else the benefits of this apps setout are lost on half of us!
Cheers!

### 2/5 — No metric measurements?

*2010-05-27, version 0*

Would be very useful and 5stars but no metric measurments is a problem. Great idea but needs an update to fix this.

### 3/5 — only feet?

*2010-04-09, version 0*

I want to use this by meter. Not feet. Is it possible?

### 3/5 — Nice but...

*2010-04-07, version 0*

Needs a metric converter inbuilt as an update then it would be very usefull as apose to just usefull.
Thanks anyway guys.

### 2/5 — Leaves a lot to be desired

*2010-04-03, version 0*

I'm going to show you how it's done. Stay tuned.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2010-02-03, version 0*

Requires that you already know all 3 parameters. If I already have that, why do I need this calculator? Want to be able to enter lens & screen size & get throw distance? Well this won't do it.

### 5/5 — Projector calc

*2009-10-30, version 0*

A truly great app. I use it constantly and have almost stopped checking my calculations. The only draw back is the lack of metric, this is certainly a pain for us Brits.
