## What is Promethean?

Put classroom collaboration into the hands of students and teachers and panel management into the hands of school IT administrators.

The Promethean mobile app is designed for teachers and students to interact with Promethean ActivPanels from anywhere in the classroom. Teachers have the ability to sign in and access their Promethean profile. For IT administrators, the Promethean mobile app helps to enroll ActivPanels into their panel management to make updates easier.

Students can
•	Wirelessly share the screen from their mobile device to ActivPanels with Screen Share or Screen Share in Promethean ActivSuite.
•	No sign-in required.
Teachers can 
•	Wirelessly share the screen from their mobile device to ActivPanels with Screen Share or Screen Share in Promethean ActivSuite.
•	Access Promethean user tutorials and training materials on Learn Promethean directly through the app.*
•	Sign in to their Promethean account to access Promethean ActivSuite and sign in to their ActivPanel 9.
IT Administrators can 
•	Sign in to their Promethean account.
•	Wirelessly share the screen from their mobile device to ActivPanels with Screen Share or Screen Share in Promethean ActivSuite.
•	Access Promethean user tutorials and training materials on Learn Promethean directly through the app*
•	Enroll ActivPanels into a school organization, name the panel, associate it with groups and verify that it was enrolled successfully.
 
NOTES:
•	The Promethean app requires a device where a Promethean account can be accessed or Promethean ActivPanel Elements (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium) series panels with Software Release (SR) 3.2 or newer.
•	Panel sign in is only available for ActivPanel 9 series.
•	Screen Share must be enabled on ActivPanel to utilize Screen Share from the Promethean app.

Das grösste Problem ist das es sich anfühlt wie in der Steinzeit, App Starten (an beiden Geräten) dann Namen und Code eintragen. Wartehalle betreten und tatsächlich warten auf das Gerät. Manchmal miss man das mehrmals machen das es klappt um am Ende ein verzerrtes Bild zu erhlten da Auflösungen von Tablets oft beliebig sind und nicht einfach full HD oder 4K sondern irgend welche spezifischen. Es ist wirklich Horror mit dem ActivPanel10 ist es noch schlimmer geworden da man jetzt eine Activ Suite nutzen muss. Es ist nicht nutzerfreundlich.

Please Fix!! is the band Director rely on mirroring my tablet to my students so they were able to see what I am exactly talking about and mark things that I mark. This app is completely unreliable… Sometimes it works fantastic, and other times it doesn’t work at all. I literally had to stop an entire class because everything that I was doing was dependent on mirroring, something that, a smart TV can easily do with zero complications. I don’t understand why it is so incredibly difficult and hard to simply mirror but the iPad is projecting. Why do we have to go through third-party? Why can’t we simply have AirPlay embedded? These are things that educators rely on Promethean please do something about this…

I had no issue getting this to work on my board at work but there’s no audio which is basically the whole reason I chose to download it. This software hasn’t been updated for over 9 months of the review of my writing about this app. Do better Promethean, seriously.
