It is a very manageable program and the app is super helpful and easy to use and navigate. I easily follow the app instructions and receive a message notification about advancing or using the same retainers for one more week. In addition, it provides feedback on what to continue doing to improve and see better results. I like the feature that shows my before and after. The ProMonitoring system is designed for users in mind. The scans are easy to take and cuts down on visits to my dentist who happens to be over an hour away. I’m pleased with the results so far. As a teenager I had braces and recalled the discomfort each time the wires were adjusted by my orthodontist. With the ProMonitoring system the adjustment made in each new tray is very precise and result in minimal and short-lived discomfort. Since they have changed the interface trying to complete the scan is nearly impossible. But overall a little clunky. Then I got a new phone and realized that the flash doesn’t fit inside the provided teeth scanner. Making it impossible to get scans approved. Their solution was to send the OLD scan box. Which didn’t work any better. It’s now been months and ironically the only messages I get are about how my photos are too dark. The team has been completely mia on this known issue. Really disappointing. A simple LED would fix the issue. ### 1/5 — Totally disappointed *2025-10-25, version 7.39.0* After aligner no. 7 had to get a whole new set since they weren’t even close to fitting. Am now having trouble with the second batch. Have been on no. 14 for 5 weeks, they are loose and am not receiving the go ahead for no. 15. Don’t bother calling them, they just refer you to your dentist. So much for all of the specialists they purport to have. ### 1/5 — Poor service, no response *2024-08-13, version 7.31.1* My teeth did not move to the final positions as planned. Toward the end of my treatment, I knew the last tray was not going to fix a few teeth that were not properly aligned. They stopped monitoring before my last tray, and never responded to my requests for an adjustment. My dentist said my teeth are worse than when I started treatment with Candid. I want my money back! Don’t fall for this scam!! ### 1/5 — Candid aligners app and company are awful *2024-05-31* Had the worst experience with them. Can’t wait for this treatment to be over. ### 1/5 — Customer service gone sideways over the phone *2023-07-27* Just so everyone knows, they close your account after “treatment is complete.” But if your retainer breaks and you need replacements, they don’t give you order confirmation until it ships. Teeth were still loose after treatment and retainer was broken. Tried to order tray 15 and 16 but I don’t think they included it in the default ordering system on the website. Teeth are starting to crowd again. Never received confirmation or tracking, but they charged off my card already. Email is not monitored by anyone so you can’t get concise communication. Predatory profit practices by another big company. ### 1/5 — Unreasonably difficult, lots of misleading *2022-10-24* I chose Candid over competitors because a sales agent on their chat claimed they do free retainers if you do all the scanning on time. I eventually learned (when I frantically emailed because I had travel and couldn’t scan on time) that no retainers are free anyway, but if you scan on time they do “corrections” free instead of for $400. Digging further, I learned that the correction is when their aligner a don’t move your teeth to the place candid claimed they would. By the time I learned this I’d already missed a scan. Now trying to buy a retainer requires a phone call and a wait on hold. There’s got to be an easier option that’s clear and honest about what they offer. ### 1/5 — Do not do this *2022-04-21* Do yourself a favor and get a real orthodontist. Candid is scam and remote orthodontia should be more regulated to ensure these companies are actually held responsible for the garbage treatment they’re providing. You can never get in touch with an actual orthodontist directly. Everything is channeled through customer service reps who can do little more than funnel messages back and forth and act as a buffer for your requests. I thought the worst that could happen was that you’d have to wait longer for service, but wow was I wrong. My original treatment plan for minor cosmetic issues was 6 to 8 months. Almost two years later, I am now 3 sets of aligners in. My teeth are so much worse than when I started, my bite is horribly misaligned, and one of the aligners managed to pull my rear molars forward so they are sunken down and no longer level with the rest of my teeth. They’re answer to how to deal with this? “Cut the back tooth off your aligners with scissors.” I understand that this is an imperfect science and refinements are a normal part of the process. But the degree of error to which I’ve been dealing with is appalling. And because no one seems to actually be checking your progress, it’s up to you to flag issues. And even then, they drag the process out so it takes weeks to get an answer. Shame on me for thinking that this could be a viable options during the Covid pandemic. Don’t do this. ### 1/5 — Worst money I’ve ever spent *2022-03-25, version 2.10.0* App is ok but the product itself is the worst decision I’ve ever made. Made my teeth worse than before, not only that, changed my bite for the worse and now I have TMJ issues….tried to talk to a doctor but although access to a representative is plenty, I still have not heard back from a doctor. Had to stop halfway because of that. And now I have to get treatment from a real orthodontist, which is what I should have done from the beginning.
