It is really a good app that could be so much better. The problem with the app is if you bold one section or line the whole doc will become bold. That is the same with any changes you make with the font. If you want to change one part you can't it will change the complete document. If they would fix this I would give it five stars. ### 4/5 — Great app! Minor issue *2016-09-20, version 3.0* I use this app all the time. I don't know what I would do without it. I have tried other prompter apps and non are as good. It excels! The one bad comment I have about the app is the need to hook it to iTunes to get recordings off. How about Dropbox, iCloud, even airdrop to get recordings off. I back up my phone to the iCloud and hooking up to iTunes always irritates me. ### 3/5 — Fuming!!! My most used app. *2014-10-07, version 2.2* I use Prompster Pro nearly every day. I have song lyrics with or without chords set to scroll at my pace. When I need performance evaluation or a video for YouTube I can record as the music scrolls. I, for know, being descend from a long line of people who talk with their hands, have knocked more papers off of podiums and misfiled pages than I care to admit. Equipped with a trusty iPad and Pompster Pro, you can calm your sweaty palms and rest easy knowing that this app and it’s developer, Paragoni, are your very own tele-prompting team! With recording features, you can practice you delivery and inflection for maximum impact. Variable prompting speed and timers help you keep the pace appropriate for whatever you are delivering… or, if you’re like me and the hands start doing the talking, you can manually scroll through the text yourself. As a person who speaks vocationally, this tool is invaluable. If what you have to say is worth saying, isn’t it worth having the tools that could remove distractions from the equation? On a personal note: Prompster’s developer, Dante', gives a personal touch to serve the community that he has invested in with this application. ### 5/5 — Pastor Dave *2014-10-07, version 2.2* This is a great APP the features are very helpful ### 5/5 — A perfect fit *2014-10-07, version 2.2* I occasionally preach at my church and I was looking for a teleprompter type app to scroll my sermon. I tried the free version and it was satisfactory for me, so I bought Prompster Pro. I have since recommended it many times over to colleagues. Though the app can record both video and audio, I find myself using only the basic teleprompting, though it's good to have those features there. The biggest win, however, is importing of files from Dropbox. I can then practice my sermon, go in and edit it within the app, and from there press prompt and away I go. I don't use the app every week, but when I do, it's mission critical. Also, I emailed the developer about a crash when I updated to iOS 8 and he was "Johnny-on-the-spot" and very cordial. App says you can edit but good luck figuring out how. No save button and no edits actually save. Cumbersome app with “0” support. My suggestion, keep looking. ### 1/5 — Very disappointed, difficult to load. *2019-01-28* What a waste of money! I could not easily get my content to load. It never loaded after many many attempts. I finally gave up and purchased another app. No refunds are available and so here is my review. Been working on laying it out all evening, which required importing a text file and losing all my formatting. Had it almost where I wanted it a few minutes ago, and the program crashed and the work was gone. I lost everything!! This program is cursed. Stay way from it. The value of the app matches the price at which it is offered for. It would have been 4 or 5 star app if I could actually import .txt files from dropbox. It shows that the app is connected to the dropbox and all the steps have been taken to ensure the app is authorized to access dropbox. Crashes, won't open *2014-10-04, version 2.1* Ever since the last upgrade from Apple, Prompster Pro won't initiate. I click the icon, the screen goes black and then back to the home screen. I've restarted the app and ipad, reinstalled the app, everything I can think off and it still doesn't work. Please offer a fix/upgrade fast, I need this app, I don't want to go find and buy a new one. Please fix it. Because it doesn't work right now I must give it one star... I don't have the latest version as I'm using it on a 2013 iPad mini. And kudos to the developer for allowing the app to continue to work on such an old device! It glitches every now and then and locks up. But I suspect that would not be the case on an up-to-date device. I mostly use it to shoot my YouTube videos. i put the iPad mini just above the lens and it looks like I'm using a regular prompter. The function to match the speed of the presentation with the scrolling speed and to easily make adjustments on the fly is by far an easier option than using paper based notes. Copying and pasting in text is a snack. But it turns out that Prompster goes beyond what I had imagined with a beautiful friendly interface. Love the built in recording features. ### 5/5 — Great app & great support *2016-06-06* I have been using this app for a few years and find it simple to use and extremely convenient. When students couldn't remember their lines, we attached to a projector and displayed the lines on the wall behind the audience. We had a videographer come to tape students giving speeches, he wanted the text reversed to work with his fancy system and to my surprise, it was a new feature. I contacted customer support and Dante was extremely helpful and willing to answer my silly questions. Valerie ### 5/5 — Awesome app *2016-02-22* I do a lot of public speaking and often have to give speeches of 10+ minutes without a PowerPoint or slideshow to guide me through. I relied on typing a one page cheat sheet, or index cards until I found this app. Now, I carry my phone to the podium and glance at it, as it scrolls. It has been awesome to keep me on pace, as I am often set for a time that had to be kept. The topics are so important I don't want to miss anything - and the app has a timer, scroll speed you can set, and even allows you to highlight text to add things that may go on with the audio visual and media as you speak. I will be using this app for all my longer speeches. I had the free version and the one without advertisements is honestly worth it. Prompster Pro helps me a lot, espeically getting ready and practicing. I type up my talk, and then import into the app. Next, I practice and then practice some more, changing text if necessary, and selecing suitble delivery speed and pace on the app. In my practice sessions, I record, time and/or video my presentation, and use these features to help me improve speech content and my delivery. And then when I give the talk, I place my device with Prompster Pro running, on the lecturn which I also record for post-talk review and critique.
