## What is Prompt Planter?

Write, test, and grow your prompts. Track versions of your AI prompts with diff view, version restore, and {{template}} variables - now synced across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Prompt Planter is a calm, private home for the AI prompts you actually want to keep. If you reuse the same prompts across different AI assistants, you know the pain: the good version is buried somewhere in a chat history, and you end up rewriting it from scratch. Prompt Planter lets you save your best prompts, improve them over time, and grab the right one in seconds.

THE SAME LIBRARY ON EVERY DEVICE
- Syncs automatically over iCloud. Start a draft on your iPhone and finish it on your iPad or Mac.
- Nothing to set up. If you are signed in to iCloud, everything is already there when you open the app.
- You can check the sync status any time in Settings.

GROW YOUR PROMPTS
- Keep prompts, project instructions, skills, CLAUDE.md files, and system prompts in one library.
- Every prompt has a full version history. Save a new version whenever you tweak it, with a short note on what changed.
- See exactly what changed between versions, highlighted with + and - marks.
- Restore any past version at any time. Restoring adds a new revision, so your history is never lost.
- Rate each version and record how it actually performed, so you always know which one works best.

- Tag prompts by AI and by purpose so you can find exactly what you need. Give AI tags a color to tell them apart at a glance.

■ Sync across iPhone, iPad, and Mac
Your drafts and your library now sync automatically over iCloud. If you are signed in with the same Apple Account, there is nothing to set up: start on one device and continue on another. You can check the sync status in Settings.

■ Duplicate a prompt
You can now duplicate a whole prompt, version history included, so you can take a well-developed prompt in a different direction without losing what got you there.

■ Search now covers your notes
Change notes and result notes are searchable too, not just the prompt body. Find that one insight you half remember writing down.

■ Colors for AI tags
Pick a color for each AI tag in Settings so you can tell them apart at a glance in the list.

■ Sort and filter are remembered
Your sort order and filters now stay put between launches.

■ Confirmation before deleting a draft
Deleting a draft also removes it from your other devices, so the app now asks first.

This update adds new tools to help you grow your prompts.

■ Version diff view
Open any version from the history to see what changed from the previous revision, highlighted with + and − marks. See at a glance which edits improved your results.

■ Version restore
Restore any past version as the latest one. Restoring adds a new revision instead of rewriting history, so nothing is ever lost — experiment freely.

■ Template variables
Write {{name}} in a prompt body, and a fill-in form appears when you copy it or send it to Drafts. The same variable is filled everywhere with a single input, making reusable prompts much easier to work with.

■ Delete confirmation
A confirmation dialog now appears before deleting a prompt, so you won't accidentally lose a prompt together with its version history.

■ Other fixes and improvements
- Fixed an issue where the export screen could appear blank
- Added "Save JSON to a file" as a new export option
- Added support for Apple Silicon Macs with a sidebar layout
