## What is Prompt Script?

Paste a story. Leave with a picture book — and a shot-ready script for any AI video tool.

PromptScript is the director's lens for AI visual storytelling. Bring any story — pasted, imported, or built from a spark — and the studio turns it into a picture book: one picture and one painfully obvious sentence per chapter. Then it goes further, turning every chapter into a director-ready shoot.

WHAT IS A PROMPT SCRIPT?
A traditional screenplay is a human-to-human device. A prompt script is a human-to-AI device — structured creative direction that tells your AI video tools exactly what to make and why. Every shot arrives broken into the parts a director controls: action, acting, motion, cinematography, dialogue.

THE STUDIO
Your story becomes a book of chapters, each with its own picture, its own style, even its own score direction. Draw the whole book in your chosen visual style, reorder chapters like cards on a table, and read the story back — the app will even read it aloud, chapter by chapter.

FIFTEEN CONSULTANTS IN THE BUILDING
The Green Room holds a cast of genre specialists — the Comedian, the Gothic Visionary, the Monumentalist, the Stuntman, the Pop Storyteller, the Formalist, and more. Seat one as your chapter's director and every shot carries their sensibility. Talk anything through, and when the conversation lands somewhere good, one tap turns it into a real change to the script — no retyping.

THE HANDOFF
Export a gorgeous, self-contained prompt script — beautiful enough to read like a book, structured enough to hand straie shot, a whole chapter, or theentire script as Markdown and paste it into Veo, Runway, or any AI video tool. Come back
anytime to reshoot a scene, revwith the crew, and tighten thecut.

PROMPTSCRIPT PRO
Everything included. 7 days frel anytime in Settings — paynothing inside the week.

All consultant personas are entirely fictional AI-generated characters representing film genres and directorial styles. All generated characters are fictional and not intended to resemble any real person.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.3 — 2026-08-25

A move too long for one clip is now a chain of shots that hand off to each other.

CHOREOGRAPH A SHOT
AI video tools generate in roughly four-second clips, so any move longer than
that — a fight, a chase, a fall, a long walk — comes back as unrelated
fragments. Open a shot in the studio and tap "choreograph this shot": your
director breaks the move into beats of about four seconds, and every beat opens
on the exact frame the one before it ended. They arrive in the script as 3A, 3B,
3C, so you can see at a glance that they are one move. Generate them in order
and the motion carries across the cuts.

A NEW DIRECTOR — THE LONG TAKE
For the shot that holds. Weather arriving, water moving, a figure walking the
whole distance instead of cutting to the arrival — a frame kept long enough that
the thing that changes is you. He is the one director whose shot is too long to
render at once, so he builds it as a chain.

CONSULTANTS DON'T DROP THEIR NOTES ANY MORE
Sometimes a consultant would answer and the app would refuse the answer,
reporting a formatting problem instead of showing you what they said — most
often when they had several notes at once. The app is now far more forgiving
about how a reply arrives, and if it can't read the structure at all, it shows
you the words rather than an error.

WHEN SOMETHING IS SLOW, IT SAYS SO
A request that stalls now comes back with a plain sentence and puts your typed
message back in the box, instead of leaving you watching a spinner. Longer work
— shooting a whole book — is steadier too.

ROOM FOR A LONG SESSION
A deep session with the editors could hit an unnecessary daily limit. That
ceiling is much higher now.

## Shorter alternative (if you want it terse)

A move too long for one clip is now a chain of shots that hand off to each other.

• Choreograph a shot — one long move becomes ~4-second beats numbered 3A, 3B, 3C, each opening on the frame the last one ended
• A new director: The Long Take, for the shot that holds
• Consultants no longer lose a note to a formatting error
• Slow requests say so and hand your message back, instead of hanging
• A higher daily ceiling for long sessions

### 2.2 — 2026-08-09

Every shot knows how it's drawn.

EVERY SHOT CARRIES THE LOOK
Hand one shot to your stills tool and it used to arrive with no medium named — so the style drifted from frame to frame. Now the chapter's medium and style travel with every shot, in the copy and in the export. Set it once for the chapter and every shot follows.

NOBODY SPEAKS THE SHOT'S NAME ANYMORE
A copied shot used to carry a line naming its audio mode, and some generators read that as an instruction — and put the shot's own name on screen as spoken dialogue. That line is gone from the copy. The mode still lives in the studio, where you set it and where it belongs.

A STRONGER FIRST PASS
The first pass is often the only pass, so it now runs on a more capable AI model — sharper choices about which beats become shots, and tighter writing in every row.

### 2.1 — 2026-07-25

The script reads true.
This release is repair work — and one new safety net.
SHOOT THE SCRIPT IS BACK — The door to directing your whole book had gone missing on some installs. It's on the home screen where it belongs.
LONG STORIES STAY WHOLE — Organizing a long paste could quietly leave pages behind after a certain point. Every page now lands in a chapter.
READ THE SCRIPT READS RIGHT — The assembled script now shows every chapter with its own shots, chapters clearly divided, and shot numbers that start fresh in each chapter.
NOTES LAND WHERE THEY'RE AIMED — When a consultant proposes a change to a shot or a seam, it lands on that shot or that seam.
UNDO THE REVIEW — New: restore any chapter the review touched to exactly how it was before, in one tap.
THE CONSULTANTS HAVE READ THE CHAPTER — Directors now know the chapter's prose, its cast and set, and the shots on either side.
ADD A SHOT, LET THE DIRECTOR WRITE IT — Name its beat, or let them find it.
YOUR STUDIO WORK STICKS — Renames carry through the whole script, and studio changes appear the moment you walk back out.

### 2.0 — 2026-07-20

PromptScript 2.0 — the studio rebuilt from the doors in.

Paste a story and leave with a picture book: one picture, one painfully obvious sentence per chapter. Fifteen consultants wait in the Green Room; seat one as your director and every shot carries their sensibility. Export a prompt script beautiful enough to read and structured enough to hand straight to Veo, Runway, or any AI video tool.

Everything opens with a 7-day free trial, then $4.99/month. Also new: chapters read themselves aloud, chapter copy grabs the whole chapter, and the studio's lighting is yours to pick.

### 1.2 — 2026-05-08

PromptScript 1.2 improves the core creative workflow with a smoother chat experience, better subscription restore behavior, clearer AI service connection handling, updated AI model options, onboarding improvements, and fixes for several interface issues across iPhone, iPad, and Mac Catalyst.
