I like the option to pin or hide channels and messages as needed. My only gripe is that there is no notification settings that is in between “mentions” and “all messages”. We have the option to reply specific messages in a channel and this is incredibly useful, but you don’t get notifications for subsequent messages in the thread. Our restaurant started using it after trying to get our employees to adopt Slack… Total failure! Pronto has saved us. We communicate with ease on a daily basis and this is exactly what we were looking for. 5 stars! ### 5/5 — 5 full Years. Awesome results. 0 Issues *2025-07-02* I’ve been using pronto for a total of 5 years now. Initially in 2020 I was just a rep at a sales company and never noticed how useful it was until I stepped into a management position 3 years ago in 2022. Events, competitions, operations, onboarding, company announcements etc… You name it, the app runs so smoothly and reps/employees feel the same pull to use it like an Instagram or twitter. So the water always gets to the end of the row cause employees don’t hate and avoid it like they do like slack or workday. 5 years and I have never dealt with a technical difficulty, or glitch and they are constantly adding more convenient updates. Not that they haven’t had a crash once, but I’ve never noticed so even if they have they must be very quick to make sure to fix it up. I put my email in—exactly what’s on my Canvas account—and it never sends a verification code, not even to my junk folder. The only way I can use it is to log into Canvas on the desktop web, then press the Pronto button at the bottom. I even tried copying and pasting the email from the app to log in on my phone, and still nothing. Later, I tried using the link on my dock, and it told me to log in again—but again, the verification email never arrived. ### 1/5 — Voice message *2025-07-15, version 6.2.1* When listening to a voice message that someone has sent in a group chat, if someone else reads the message, or reacts with an emoji, or sends a message, it makes you restart listening to the voice message. EXTREMELY annoying ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2025-04-23* My school uses pronto to communicate both academically and socially. I believe there are under 1000 users. Pronto will typically freeze when I open it on my phone, and it is incredibly slow on my laptop. Pronto frequently bans students automatically, with no warning or reason. The servers also crash very often, and they’re almost always running on maximum capacity which causes abundant lagging, and if people are talking a lot in any chat the entire app will stop working. Maybe it works on a much smaller scale, but it absolutely does not have the capacity to accommodate even a small school. ### 1/5 — amateurish level of functionality hoping to coast by on educational sector dependency *2025-02-26, version 5.14.2* can't leave groups, can't delete direct messages, can't custom organize conversations by merging. the redundancy level of this app makes a visual mess if i'm trying to do group work and is only multiplied at the whole class level. i still have a non-credit course i enrolled in three years ago still popping up in my side column. app removed user option to delete or even leave groups. headache. certainly wouldn't use it by choice - thus the title. ### 1/5 — Fix the calling *2024-04-15, version 5.8.7* Probably one of the worst talk apps I’ve ever used when it comes to calling someone. There should be no prompt to call. Also when the prompt is accepted it still doesn’t pick up.
