The first month I used the Proov Confirm test and was able to see that my progesterone was borderline low and dropped early. I shared the report with my fertility doctor and she put me on progesterone suppositories for my next cycle starting the day after I ovulated. On that second cycle I used Proov Complete. I was able to feel confident on my ovulation date and started progesterone and was able to conceive that very month! I had to email Proov support a few times with questions and I was so impressed with how fast they responded, one time they even responded within 24 hours over the weekend! I’ve recommended Proov to so many people and I would use it again in a heartbeat. (Note: always remember that Proov tests urine, the metabolized hormones, its very different than blood tests. I’ve seen some people try to compare the two in critical reviews of Proov and you can’t really compare the two. Also consistency is key, I always tried to test at the same time and same conditions - first urine, not too overhydrated or dehydrated, etc. - you are looking for the trends) ### 5/5 — Great Hormonal Support *2026-02-02, version 3.1.24* Proov helped regulate my hormones completely. From the off-center app icon to the low-resolution videos, it’s a poor user experience. We have been TTC for 10 years and haven’t found anything dramatically wrong with my hormones recently. I wanted to use PROOV to monitor my hormones more closely, not only for TTC but also trying to determine what may be driving migraines. PROOV help show my estrogen level may be too high at times it should be lower (when levels are not typically checked). We are changing up my nutritional program to help target this issue and continuing to test to see how my body responds. Love that I can test regularly. The only issue with the app is that when I tried to do a multi test on a non testing day I had a hard time selecting the “next” button because it was almost entirely off my screen. It was extremely frustrating on an already frustrating day (which is why I was testing 😅) ### 5/5 — Great insight *2025-11-04, version 3.1.21* The app has such great information. I moved to the Complete kit due to wanting more data points even though it is geared toward those trying to conceive and have found it very helpful. Proov tests are reliable and have helped me tremendously as I have just started HRT. I would say what has been the most impressive about Proov is their customer service. I don't know how they do it but they respond to emails very quickly and I never feel like a number but they really listen and consider each question I ask and I really trust their responses. Great company. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Overpriced scam *2026-03-30, version 3.1.25* I already wrote a detailed review if the ethical failings of these snake oil saleswomen and practical failings of the hormone tests which seems to have disappeared. Check TTC subreddits for more details on that. The doctor prescribing any medications (who does so without actually speaking to you) is another scammer who makes her money by scaring young women into unnecessary medical testing and egg freezing, The app also autoplays content at full volume while you try to log tests and there's no way to turn it off. If you want numerical hormone values, Mira is better. If you want to confirm ovulation, BBT is better. Proov is a total waste of money ### 1/5 — Proov tests not accurate *2026-03-23, version 3.1.25* I’ve been working with a fertility clinic. I was worried because Proov had been saying my PdG was low, I also use a different PdG test that said my PdG was in a normal range, confirming ovulation. I was confused but after getting lab results for progesterone and my numbers were excellent. I tested with Proov the same day and it said it was low. Take your results with a grain of salt… ### 1/5 — Very bad app *2026-03-15, version 3.1.25* Good luck trying to use multiple tests in one month. The app is laggy, awfully designed and lacks basic features. Now I have a bunch of tests I cant even use. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2026-03-07, version 3.1.25* The app isn’t worth it and I’ll start with my biggest complaints. Even if you terminate the app, if your phone connects to a speaker, it starts a podcast like audio that talks about getting pregnant. I do not need to tell the office that I’m using Proov. Next major issue is the tests themselves. I used and logged all the strips and it grayed out one test entirely. You can’t change the test because it says the test is already started but there are no more tests to do in box. Next oddity is that it says I’m on cycle day 37 when I told it 28. I don’t even need this, I was just curious about the AI comparing the strip color + intensity. And I think it does that poorly too. In addition, the app layout is very hard to figure out. The “log test” is the only clear interface. Everything else feels hidden. Unimportant bug, its timer broke and would not go away. Had to delete the app. Recommendation, delete the app. If you want it read by AI try some other app or brand. Photo your strip and use it for positive vs negative. Only a serum lab can actually read your real values. Don’t use this app. ### 1/5 — Don not take if you want to prove you’re NOT in perimenopause *2026-01-30, version 3.1.24* I wanted to get a baseline of my hormones so I took this test, knowing I was not in perimenopause. I don’t know what you need to do to get a “pre menopause” result because my results were all within normal limits except 2 that were NOT at perimenopause levels. Most importantly, my FSH is still low, at pre-menopause levels, and rose appropriately showing ovulation, STILL at pre-menopausal levels. I have no symptoms of perimenopause, was confirmed not to be in it by my doctor as well, and all other hormone testing is optimal and does not indicate I’m anywhere near perimenopause. I know I am not in perimenopause, I am expecting to get it late like all of the women in my family. Then, it recommended a progesterone raising supplement for me?? My progesterone was optimal the whole time?? I’m left way more confused and mad I spent money on this. I’ll just ask my doctor for blood tests instead. ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2025-11-15, version 3.1.22* The test is easy to take but the app does not work ever I've deleted it and re downloaded multiple times still not working. I take the picture correctly but then it won't upload it keeps saying I have to email them which I did and still nothing. What has me very confused is when you deleted your profile and make a new one the first pic you can upload after that no more. ### 1/5 — SCAM-Never ship the tests *2025-09-25* They claim when you buy a test they ship it out same day or next day but I spent $60 on a test on 9/17 and it’s 9/25 still no test. On 9/19 I emailed them letting them know fedex said that all that had been done was a label created it had not actually been shipped and they responded sometimes fedex’s website takes awhile to update. On 9/24 sent another email letting them know fedex’s website says the same thing with no response. Now it is 9/25 and still no response or fedex update change or package. Stay away from this company unless you want to get scammed out of $60! ### 1/5 — Keeps logging out and not letting me log in unless I’m home *2025-06-20, version 3.1.15* If I’m traveling or away from My home I cannot get into this app. All other apps work fine and as expected. Logging in continuously returns me to the “get started” screen; then behaves as normal without needing login if I’m at home. I don’t understand this ### 1/5 — Tedious *2025-03-04* First time I used the app a few months ago it was simple and un-impressive. after the update it’s now tedious and difficult to use. I just want to log on to the app, pick the test Im using, be given simple instructions to follow completing the test and then a way to log and track the data. You have to go through numerous prompts and even then when you do all that it brings you to the wrong test and no simple way to select a different test. I use different apps for tracking like Premom and Inito which have their flaws but are overall user friendly. It gave me hormone levels without sufficient explanation.
