## What is ProPace?

You've wondered how you'd stack up against a pro on your own roads. Until now, the only way to really find out was to ride alongside a pro yourself.

ProPace answers it from a ride you already did.

Import your ride from Wahoo or a .FIT file, or record it on the phone, and ProPace drops a pro onto your exact route, or drops you onto a real Grand Tour stage, then scores your effort as a percentage of pro pace. No smart trainer. No travel. Just your real rides, measured against the riders who do this for a living.

HOW IT WORKS
It's not a rough guess. ProPace models the real forces acting on a bike: the gradient of every climb, aerodynamic drag, rolling resistance, your weight and your bike's weight, and the air and wind you actually rode through. From those it works out how a pro's power would have carried them over your exact route, then compares it to what you did. The benchmark is the pro GC group's pace, the lead bunch chasing the overall, not the unbeatable stage winner. That's the honest goalpost: brutally hard, but human.

The wind is where it gets interesting. ProPace tells you how many minutes the wind cost you, or handed you, on the day. That brutal headwind section? You'll see exactly what it was worth.

Every ride gives you a % Pro score, a share card, and a race-replay of you versus the pro, ready to post.

WHAT YOU GET
• A % Pro rating on every ride
• Drop your pace onto Grand Tour stages and see what you'd have scored

• A power curve across all your rides
• Men's and women's pro reference models
• High-resolution elevation correction on every ride

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.8 — 2026-08-18

Tapping a ProPace event now takes you straight to the Stages tab.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-08-17

Open the app and there's already a ride waiting. A demo ride is now included so you can see exactly how the comparison works — your time against a pro's on the same route, where the gap comes from, and what the wind did — before importing anything of your own. It disappears the moment you add your first real ride.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-08-11

Stage times are more accurate. The model now reads climbs at their true steepness instead of smoothing them out, so short, sharp sections finally count properly — most noticeably on hilly and mountain stages.

You can now share your result straight from the ride and stage screens, with your time, % Pro, terrain breakdown and the day's weather.

Also in this update:
• Stage results appear once, fully settled, instead of updating a moment later
• Times, gaps and terrain breakdowns now add up exactly
• Ride times use one consistent definition of moving time across every screen
• Fixed a bug where dismissing a synced ride could import it anyway
• More reliable connection handling for Wahoo

### 1.0.5 — 2026-08-04

Fixed a significant error in stage time predictions on windy
routes. Where the wind was helping riders, the model could
badly underestimate speed — most noticeably on mountain stages
with fast descents. Times, gaps and pro comparisons on affected
stages are now substantially more accurate.

The physics breakdown showing how power, weight and aerodynamics
contribute to your gap now appears on every stage, including long
mountain days where it was previously hidden.

Wind is now applied consistently to descents for both you and the
pro.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-08-01

Corrected race dates and on-the-day weather data for several
past Grand Tour stages, so times and comparisons now reflect
the conditions riders actually faced.

Naming and label corrections across the app.
