I hate spending time in the wild hunting for clues to get things to work. My friend I just want to push the start button. Consider deleting this app until it is ready for release. ### 1/5 — What’s the point? *2021-02-14, version 1.8.2* I’ve had the M7 Pro for 3 weeks and can’t even log in to the app half the time and I’ve NEVER been able to connect my vacuum to it. It’s either a server error or it says the WiFi can’t connect every time. I’m using my 2.4 internet, what else can I do? This app needs some serious fixes. ### 1/5 — App not binding *2021-01-16, version 1.8.1* App will not complete binding yet vac shows up on my wifi network. Customer service seems non existent, will return vac today specifically because of this app not working and no support. What a waste of time. ### 2/5 — App needs to fix bugs *2021-01-15, version 1.8.1* The app is barely OK, it will get you running but the app IS NOT open to much customizations for your home. Partitioning of area does not work well, as the app may only allow to split into two areas. Some times keep out zones disappear. Many times changes don’t take (black circle of death) and you have cancel out to get back to the main menu. Sometimes features are not available and a message appears “Try back later”. You can waste a lot of time trying to set things up and the app doesn’t accept them or will not allow you to change anything. ### 1/5 — One word “BAD” *2021-01-13, version 1.8.0* Setting up the WiFi for the A8 Air Purifier is NOT intuitive as they claim. I am tech-savvy but this thing is just that bad. Why is it not simple Bluetooth connectivity, why does it need to be an insecure access point? And I’d it is supposed to be so intuitive why does it only want 4G connectivity? I am considering a return of this unit and submitting a bad review on all platforms. That is how upset this thing made me. I will try their “so called” great support to see why this is so difficult to set up. Just BAD!!! ### 2/5 — Partially works *2021-01-07, version 1.8.0* The app works reasonably well for me as a way to start and stop the vacuum. The mapping feature doesn’t work at all for a few different reasons. First, the vacuum’s sense of location is very poor, sometimes it thinks it is making progress across a room when in fact it’s cleaning the same strip over and over. It even thinks a straight wall has huge holes in it leading to long skinny hallways. And lastly, the app doesn’t remember any of the mapping it did in previous runs, sometimes even during a single run the map is erased or jumbled. ### 1/5 — Terrible app. *2020-12-10, version 1.7.8* Seriously this app is SO WORTHLESS. Hardly works ever. Do yourself a favor and just buy another brand of vacuum and save yourself the headache. My M7 Pro was like $500 and I should be able to control it with an app without constant bugs. RUN AWAY! ### 1/5 — Need App Overhauling *2020-12-10, version 1.7.8* As many other reviewers highlighted, there are so many issues with the App that it’s impossible to use all features of expensive vacuum. It needs full redesign. For reference, check mobile app of 360 robot vacuum. On top, there is no support presence for US customers. No one responds to email and chat messages on website. This makes it difficult to keep this expensive vacuum if you feel you won’t be able to claim warranty if hardware breaks Robot companies need to realize mobile app has the same weight age and value as the hardware. People buy products for both features and ease of use ### 2/5 — The app lets down a good product *2020-11-30, version 1.7.7* I have a number of issue with the app. 1) over intrusive nature of why it wants access to my files and photos (which I refused to grant) 2) the complicated setup which doesn’t appear to work with highly secure WiFi. 3) The way the layout does not fit the screen. It has clearly been designed, tested abs built by someone who either lacks time or the experiance to build something which is customer friendly. It is a prototype and needs a dedicated team to get it working correctly. ### 1/5 — Terrible execution *2020-11-09, version 1.7.5* Some features work ok, like the scheduling, self dumping, and home finding. But the app itself needs serious improvement. The M7 forgets restricted areas and the house layout randomly and often quickly after learning them. I have not gone more than a week without having to reset them, even though it remembers other settings. It needs to remember all the settings I have it set to otherwise it gets stuck on things it should be restricted from every single time it launches, getting nothing done. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work anymore *2020-11-09, version 1.7.5* I’ve got the T21 model, and it used to connect. Since the last app update, it no longer does. Poor quality control perhaps. Updated app 2.3.0 is not available in USA *2022-02-09, version 1.8.61* There are no English instructions on how to use the app and what each function button is expected to do. I see why the price was reduced. I couldn’t get the robot connected to wifi no matter how many times I tried. This company has crossed the threshold of technology density. It has all the hardware it needs to be awesome. What it needs to set it apart from the competition is better software. Stop wasting time with cooking and recipes. Focus on software features your customers want. Your competition is doing it and that’s why they are taking more of the market share. If the next few app updates don’t make big improvements I am going to seriously reconsider owning this robot. ### 1/5 — Useless. I can choose between all the settings on the unit itself in the app. It connected to my WiFi just fine. I hit the button the machine responds. It’s a simple layout, easy to understand, and it appears to work good enough for me. The app works ok for me but definitely has some stability issues and bugs. If proscenic can clean this app up i easily see this being one of the best. ### 3/5 — Software a pain *2019-07-20, version 1.3.8* The software is a pain to get the initial connection established. Might require configuration of WiFi router and MAC address manipulation. Took me 3 attempts to finally connect, moving the M7 closer to the WiFi router actually helped. And turning off other devices stealing bandwidth helped during initial connection also. Once it’s connected, the app and vacuum work well. Smartest vacuum we’ve owned, and we’ve owned a few of the more popular name brands. ### 2/5 — App fails to exploit the hardware *2021-04-06, version 1.8.31* While I appreciate the LIDAR feature and saving of maps, I am extremely disappointed at the lack of room creation. Don’t even think of using the mopping feature as it will only leave streak marks across the floor even after pre-wetting the mopping attachment and setting the water flow control to high. There’s no real instructions or any help on how to use the different options in the app for the vacuum. I contacted support for help and was told there is nothing to explain each option.
