With all the bells and whistles, this bad boy is confusing ASF! Trying to select a photo from iphone is a nightmare, can't select individual photos easily, importing doesn't seem to be a thing, and I'm not really seeing much improvement with saturation or contrast between the basic, iphone camera and when I use this app.

I like the app and prefer it to the stock camera app, but the iOS version lacks custom aspect ratios, something that would make this version great. The ability to add an XPan or Widelux crop or even a Fujifilm GX617 is a huge amount of fun, but unfortunately limited to Android only.

The settings are ridiculously difficult to find. I want to be able to use this and have others use it with me, without having to get everyone to read a 20 page manual.

It's decent but the UI makes me hate it. Scrap the UI and start over. Outsource it.

The most prominent button in Settings is a tip jar. Unreal.

Great product. However, since the last update, the iso and the shutter speed cannot be modified in manual mode. That’s too bad. Is this due to ios26?

**Developer response:** Thank you for asking! At this time, Apple is not allowing ISO / shutter speed modifications when the image resolution is set to 24 or 48MP. We have filed a request with Apple to add support and hope they will soon. For now, if you would like access to full manual controls, please use 12MP. ProShot can still take advantage of the full resolution of the sensor at 12MP via lossless digital zoom and super sampling :)

The manual controls only work while shooting in 12MP. Which is pointless at this point.

**Developer response:** Hello, unfortunately Apple is not currently allowing apps to use manual controls when 48MP is selected. ProShot can still take advantage of the full resolution of the image sensor with manual controls via lossless digital zoom and super sampling, but the output will be 12MP. We have sent a feedback request to Apple for this feature and hope they will unlock it soon!

The app overall is very good, but sometimes when shooting on raw and proraw, I'm seeing the photo mini, so i thought it was saved, when I went to the gallery, there was no photo saved.
Losing photos is too severe to give any better rating to the app.
After fixing it, I'll gladly change this review.

**Developer response:** Hello, I am very sorry to hear about the error. By any chance are you running a beta version of iOS? I am not getting any other reports of this issue, so it may be tied to your specific device / OS combo. In the rare event that a photo capture fails (i.e. the hardware throws an error), ProShot is designed to retry the capture. If that second attempt fails, it will show a message on the screen. I believe on some older versions of iOS, the hardware would sometimes (but rarely) fail if one tried capturing a RAW photo with a 1s shutter speed, or maxed out ISO. This should have been resolved by Apple a long time ago, but please email me your device model and OS version (and any other info like camera settings, resolution, etc, if available) and I'd be glad to investigate it ASAP: support@riseupgames.com

Es la app de cámara perfecta para mi iPhone. 

Solo espero que añada app para Apple Watch para que podamos hacer fotos y vídeos remotamente desde el reloj, opciones Dual Cam para hacer fotos y vídeos con las cámaras selfie y trasera a la vez, y opción para hacer fotos panorámicas, ya que muchas veces tengo que cambiar a la app stock de Cámara para hacer fotos panorámicas, o si añaden un botón acceso directo que abra la app stock de Cámara también me valdría.

ProShot gives access to all the controls you’d want that the stock camera app doesn’t allow. I really love the UX and design. Everything is easily accessible, but still looks stylish. The only request I’d like to see is a tint control option. I notice a green tint depending on the color balance. This can fixed in post, but it would be nice to have the option in app.

I used this app on my iPhone 14 and now iPhone 16e but I could never get the zoom feature to work consistently, neither the pinch or slide setting. Made the app unusable unfortunately.

I have just downloaded this app since it was highly recommended by a professional photographer website. Once it is downloaded, wanted to test before making decision to buy. NO! The app keeps asking me to make the decision for the subscription. I don’t even have amy chance to explore the features. One click, it jumps to the subscription screen. Yes, the company offers 7 days free trail with subscription, if this is not the app that fits my needs, why bother to make the subscription and cancel it later. Sorry!  I have already uninstalled it and will not consider apps like this not letting me a chance to try out before purchasing.

По сути ни одна из функций отличной от стоковой камеры не работает: 
1. Режим B*- ноль реакции, при съемке эффект виден, в галерее-нет, как будто снято автоматически
2. Обработка фото вкл/выкл/авто - ни на что не влияет, фото как были задавлены шумодавом так и остаются, может не понял смысла этой настройки
3. Полное отсутствие HDR, фото как на камеру из начала нулевых получаются по динамическому диапазону

**Developer response:** Здравствуйте! Мне жаль слышать, что у вас возникли проблемы, и я буду рад их решить. Параметр обработки изображений в ProShot включает/выключает алгоритмы улучшения изображений Apple. В меню настроек есть отдельная опция для включения/выключения шумоподавления (NR). В совокупности эти настройки могут справиться с большим количеством избыточной обработки, но есть некоторые аппаратные функции, которые изменить невозможно. Обратите внимание, что при отключении обработки изображений Apple также отключается HDR (Apple называет это Deep Fusion), что может объяснять то, что вы видите. Что касается режима съёмки с выдержкой (B*), он будет полностью переработан в следующем обновлении, и эта ошибка будет устранена, поэтому, пожалуйста, следите за новостями.

Hatte mal funktioniert, da war es eine gute App.

Update: leider nach mehreren Updates immer noch das gleiche. Schade. 😢

It’s sad to have to give ProShot only one star.
It used to be the best photo app I knew. It had many options. The photos and videos were sharp, smooth, and fluid. It was incredibly good. But I just can’t understand how it declined so much.
The video is delayed, and changing the options seems to make no difference. It’s lagging and delayed.

I bought this app almost at launch, and I’ve followed every update, but unfortunately, today, it’s a step backward.

Hello ProShot Team

That's my first Time for contact an App Company of an Apple products . 

Since begin of Apple on mobile Phone ... I'm so much work with this products .. no Problem with Videos never. 

Today evening I'm the "Profi" in a church for Photography and Videos. Perfect work with shots, pictures and videos over Apple Products. 
Then I change the camera and start with your App. See the time, the video work, I see the microphone work.

Video one, two, three, for and more.

Now I'm at home ... and: all the videos over this App don't have sound. Nothing ... only in the Apple camera. I check my cameras and all working .. only your camera without sound. In the settings .. microphone it's ON!

I need the Videos ... they are more then important ... what must I do?

This app has been around a long time. I’ve had it installed on my iPhone for years. I fooled around with it a few times here and there, but never gave it a serious look until I recently upgraded from my old iPhone 12 Pro to the 17 Pro.  As I now have a much better camera system, I thought I should give it another try.  The first thing I noticed when I opened the app is that it was just upgraded to work with iOS 26 and the new iPhone 17 models.  For an app I think I originally got for something like $.99 that doesn't require a subscription, this was a refreshing surprise.  The developer is a rare breed in this day and age, and you can see that he takes pride in his work.  There is enough documentation available through the app to learn how to operate the various controls, but the best way to figure it all out is to just start using it.  Practice makes perfect.  Keep in mind that the primary purpose of the app is to give you the ability to manually control your smartphone camera settings as if you were using a full-featured DSLR camera. It does not include any post photo editing capabilities. The photos you take using Proshot are stored in the same photo library as the ones you take when using the native camera app on your smartphone.  In short, this is not some pricey overbloated camera app that attempts to do everything.  It is just a more capable alternative to the regular camera app that came with your smartphone.  I do hope the developer continues to support this app in the future.

this is my favorite camera app. i like the interface the most out of all the ones i downloaded. it makes sense in my brain more than many other camera app interfaces. i wish it had zebra stripes for exposure like how it has the visual focus peaking in manual mode, maybe the dev will see this review and add it, either way it is my favorite app to shoot in raw on my phone.
