Only loses a star for not having dark mode support. Too glaring to read in bed in low light conditions at night. ### 4/5 — London Mayororial contest. *2024-03-26* Well!! Sort of a beat-up, London is a separate country, the product of the rest of England excluding the capital is the equivalent of the state of Louisiana. Londinistan will go it's own way and ride it's own wave. The financial capital, the old city of London is inevitably moving to the European mainland but as its all electronic now-will it matter. ### 3/5 — When it works, great *2023-06-16* It’s glitchy, that’s my only issue with it. Sometimes it just won’t open, pops up for a half second and then closes itself. Other times it downloads the article just fine and is really easy to read on. If it could be a little more reliable it would be top marks. ### 4/5 — Exceptionally thoughtful articles *2020-09-13* Prospect is full of exceptionally thoughtful articles on a variety of topics. Not necessarily an easy read, but well-written and intelligent. Intellectually vitiated yet potentially edifying — at least insofar as it illuminates the elitist ideology that dominates discourse today. Best read alongside more marginalised, countervailing voices from the political centre and right for balance. Otherwise, there is little to recommend here: Bog-standard misinformation and the earnest spin of tired agitprop delivered with dismissive parochialism. ### 1/5 — Unable to access *2024-07-22, version 8.0.0* The login page is glitchy so still not able to access the content ### 1/5 — Useless app *2024-05-04, version 8.0.0* I’ve tried to log-in for the past two days. I’ve got another two editions to receive on the special offer I took up. At this rate I won’t be bothering to extend my membership once they run out. ### 1/5 — The magazine is good, but ... *2024-02-02, version 8.0.0* the app is a catastrophe. That is all. Before 8.0 it had a view ofthe magazine issues which was perfectly usable. Now it doesn't: it has a PDF copy ofthe magazine with a terrible viewer, or a different view of articles ... which splices ads into them. This is just rubbish. It's very sad. ### 1/5 — Awful app *2022-02-28* Prospect is a decent magazine. However, it is really let down by this app which is what this review is for. The app should not try to replicate the hard copy. It does not need to. It makes it more difficult to navigate. Take a leaf out of The Economist’s book. They’ve shown how it should be done. ### 1/5 — The app is terrible *2019-11-03* Prospect is a great, high quality magazine - they should be embarrassed about this app, it is awful. I have a subscription but cannot log in - I’ve tried everything. On the one time I logged in it was pretty rubbish anyway - clunky, difficult to navigate and just essentially full page prints of the magazine, not optimised for a device in any way. Deleted. ### 1/5 — No Prospect *2019-10-26, version 6.0.0* Just downloaded this app. As a subscriber to the magazine I was keen. Unfortunately on launch it just goes to a white screen. Nothing. As the last update was a year ago, has this been abandoned by the developer? ### 1/5 — This app is rubbish *2019-10-10* If I could give it 0 I would. Every time I open it it wants me to login but it doesn’t remember the status. As I have a print subscription I expect to have access to a digital version of of each copy. However that isn’t the case. I have other subscriptions-Economist, LRB that work fine. I have removed this as it is FRUSTRATINGLY BAD. ### 1/5 — The thinking man's App! *2018-09-12* Prospect has for a long time been the magazine for those of us who want proper debate not soundbites. The app version continues the magazine's tradition of non-partisan ideas that challenge your set beliefs. I would thoroughly recommend it. The update to the app has made reading Prospect in this format much more enjoyable too. ### 1/5 — Useless *2018-07-20, version 6.0.0* This is a totally useless app for an excellent magazine. I am loving the articles dropping regularly onto my phone.
