## What is Protocol?

Your apps track. Protocol thinks.

You already wear the ring. You count the macros. You log the workouts. But every app lives in its own world, and answering "am I on track?" still takes four app opens and some mental math.

Protocol is the intelligence layer for your health stack. It pulls sleep, recovery, nutrition, and training into one place, reads the whole picture, and tells you the one thing to fix today.

THE DAILY SCORECARD
One screen. The whole picture. Green or red. Every metric you care about and every target you have set, scored in a 5 second check-in. Green means you are on protocol. Red means you have a gap, and Protocol tells you where the gap is and what to do about it.

THE AI COACH
Not a chatbot you have to brief. A coach that lives inside your data layer. Generic AI advice is everywhere. What is rare is advice calibrated to you: your baselines, your trends, your protocol. Ask it anything, any time. Snap a photo of a meal and it logs it. Talk instead of type when your hands are full.

THE MORNING BRIEF
Your daily debrief, waiting for you before you have made a single decision. Where you stand on your weekly targets. What to prioritize today. On days you are behind, what you can still do. On days you are on track, it tells you not to overthink it.

COMPOUNDING CONTEXT
The longer you use it, the smarter it gets. By month three, Protocol knows your sleep is always worse on Sundays and your protein drops every weekend. By month twelve, you have a coach that knows you better than any trainer you have worked with, because it has the data to back every observation.

WORKS WITH YOUR STACK
Keep every app you love. We make them talk.

- Apple Health: steps, sleep, workouts, heart rate, HRV, and more
- Oura
- WHOOP

HOW IT WORKS
1. Connect your stack
2. Define your goals
3. Stay on protocol

Built for the person who already has the stack: the ring, the strap, the macro tracker. You are not missing data. You are missing synthesis.

Protocol is a wellness app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. Always consult a qualified professional for medical questions.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.5 — 2026-08-07

General enhancements and improvements across syncing, goals, and the Meal Log.

Health data
• More reliable Apple Health syncing in the background, so your day keeps updating without opening the app
• Completed days now settle to their final totals automatically

Zone 2
• Zone 2 now works even if you haven't shared your date of birth— just add your age from your Zone 2 goal
• More accurate profile details behind your heart-rate zones

Meal Log
• The date picker now marks the days you've logged
• Saved meals stay grouped together
• Cleaner meal sections with less repetition

Biomarkers
• Ask Coach about your panel directly from your results

### 1.4.4 — 2026-08-01

Biomarkers is now available

Import your bloodwork as a lab report PDF or as screenshots. Protocol pulls out every marker, sorts them by status, and tracks each one draw over draw. Your coach reads the whole panel and works it into its recommendations, then turns what's out of range into goals you can act on. Tap any marker for its history, its reference range, and what actually moves it.

Also in this release:

- Add a photo to a meal you already logged, and fix a product's details straight from the meal
- Barcode scanning reads the label when a scan comes up empty, and catches products whose own numbers don't add up
- Edit your name from Profile
- Large multi-page lab reports import faster and more reliably
- Small bug fixes and enhancements

### 1.4.3 — 2026-07-27

Your coach got a lot smarter.

Protocol’s AI coach now reads your real data properly, draws its own charts, and remembers what matters between conversations.

• It can see your whole history. Ask about the last week, the last month, or a specific day, and the coach pulls exactly that window instead of guessing from today.

• Fixed: nutrition totals. The coach was reading a single meal as your whole day, so every daily number it quoted was wrong. It now sums the day correctly and never treats an unlogged day as a zero.

• Fixed: workout counts. Workouts synced from Apple Health, Oura, WHOOP or logged by hand are all counted now. It also tells you when something didn’t count and why, instead of acting like the week was empty.

• Charts. Ask about a stretch of days and you get a real chart with your goal line, gaps where you didn’t log, and the newest day always labelled.

• Memory. The coach keeps track of your preferences, your anchor meals, and anything you say you’ll try — and follows up on it.

• Better answers. Proper formatting, specific foods from your own log rather than generic advice, and honest reads on what your data actually shows.

• Meal log → coach. Ask “what should I eat next?” right from the meal log, with your remaining calories and protein already in hand.

• Chat improvements. Your question stays at the top while the answer loads, long-press any message to copy it, and the keyboard has a Done button.

### 1.4.2 — 2026-07-25

Sharper numbers, fairer verdicts.

• Your history stays honest. Protocol now re-checks the last two weeks of Apple Health data every time you open the app. Completed days settle to their true totals instead of freezing at a partial count, and days you didn't open the app fill themselves in.

• Fairer sleep and recovery verdicts. A near miss now reads "Almost" instead of a flat "Miss," so a 6.9 hour night gets credit for being close to a 7h goal.

• Tap any day in a metric's week bar-chart to see that day's number, its verdict, and how it moved from the day before.

• Meals file themselves. Log breakfast at 7am and it lands in Breakfast, not "Other." Add a photo from your library and Protocol uses when the photo was taken to match to the right meal.

• Zone 2, done right. Recalculated with a proper heart-rate band, plus average and max heart rate on every workout.

• A brief that gets out of the way. Dismiss the daily brief and it collapses to a slim "Read again" row.

• Correct day on open. Reopening the app after midnight now rolls over to the new day instead of showing yesterday.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-07-23

Your stack, handled.

- Supplements from Apple Health: import your stack from the Health app's Medications list, check off each one as you take it, and see doses you log in Health check themselves off automatically. You choose exactly what to share. (Requires iOS 26.)
- Zone 2 from your Apple Watch: your workout heart rate now counts toward your weekly Zone 2 goal. No ring required.
- Pickleball counts. Tennis, basketball, soccer, and other sports now count as cardio toward your weekly workout goal.
