### 3/5 — Needs Windows support

*2018-02-14*

Sorry friend, going to need a refund. Compatible with iOS but need a Mac to run it.

### 4/5 — Does exactly what it is supposed to.

*2011-07-28*

Using this with Pro Tools 9.0.1 on Mac. It works great. I can control pro tools from my drum room for 8 bucks. I just don't see how anyone can complain about that. There is even a beta for windows users. Low reviews are coming from users that either did not read the description, or did not read the instructions on the website.

### 4/5 — Klappt

*2010-05-11, version 0*

Installation war ein Kinderspiel.
Achtung ist nicht gleichzeitig mit z.B. Hardware-Controler Command 8 zu benutzbar. Aber zum Sich-Selberaufnehmen super.

### 4/5 — Protools protransport

*2010-03-12, version 0*

Pro Transport funktioniert mit pro tools einwandfrei... Bedienungsanleitung sollte aber besser sein!die profiversion ist zu teuer!

### 4/5 — Conflicts with Mackie Control surface

*2009-12-06*

In and of itself, this is a great program and worked well for me. It uses mackie protocol to run logic pro. while this worked well, if you ever buy an actual mackie control surface, it will make the control surface act very funny to the point of almost un-usable. Unfortunately to get the Mackie to work, i had to uninstal ProTransport.

### 4/5 — Love it with Logic!

*2009-11-24*

Totally works with Logic Pro 9. Got it set up fairly easily (read instructions). It really saves the day for tracking myself - I have a separate control room and tracking room - now I no longer need to walk over just to hit play or record. Thanks!

### 3/5 — No Windows Support Yet.

*2009-09-09, version 0*

Unfortunatly this page doesn't say that only OS X is currently supported by the server program you need to install on your computer. My DAW computer is not at home (where i bought the app) and so i only discovered this when i came to try and install the server on my pc. In a FO Labs forum they say their hoping to support windows later in the year, wish i'd known this before i bought the app, but i'm looking forward to using it when they do.

### 2/5 — Cool, but no Logic 9 support!?

*2009-08-23, version 0*

Means its redundant if you upgrade at the moment

### 4/5 — Alleine im Studio

*2009-07-23, version 0*

### 2/5 — Spotty Transport Control

*2009-07-02, version 0*

After downloading the necessary software and installing it on a Mac Pro 8 core, along with the app on the iPhone 3Gs, I expected a smoother running application over a strong wifi connection. The program is sluggish at best, the time code does not update quick enough to be usable. The transport controls are not fully addressed as several of the buttons do not register when pressed. If you leave the app open for too long on the iPhone without interaction it will fail to work after several minutes. Which means a need to quit the program, quit the DAW (in my case Logic Studio) then uninstall the server software, then reinstall the server software, then restart Logic, then restart the app on the iPhone. Essentially I was testing the waters to see if I'd want to get their ProControl.

Based on the spotty, sluggish and buggy operation of the ProTransport, I'm inclined to ask for my money back. When it sorta works, it's cool, but in a studio you need something that really works. I can't imagine spending $99 let alone $35 for an app that is more graphic and processor intensive than the transport control. The idea is there, however the implementation is not ready for prime time. It feels like a beta product - and I dislike paying to beta test a product. I gave it two stars because the idea is neat and I sometimes find myself needing to have a simple way of starting and stopping tracks while recording in the booth away from the computer. I hope a near future update solves the speed and bugs.

### 5/5 — Oops I told you the wrong settings.

*2009-06-25*

It's actually Proremote Port 1 for both, not Proremote MIDI Port. Please see previous Mysterfish Review. It took me a while to get it working properly but it is Awesome. Thanks Again.

### 5/5 — Beautiful

*2009-06-06, version 0*

Werks great with my logic studio! Thank you!

### 5/5 — Exactly what it should be!

*2009-05-15*

First off, I laughed at the idea of this app when it first came out at its introductory price (The full version, ProRemote). I considered it to be one of those "hey, look what I can do with my iphone!" apps that really serves no purpose. I still feel that the iphone is no replacement for a real control surface, however multi-touch does allow you to mix multiple channels at once, something you cannot do with a mouse. That leads me to believe that ProRemote should be worth it for those that cannot afford an 003 or Command 8.

I purchased ProTransport, as I find it very affordable and just what I need. I use it to control my ProTools LE system while I am in my booth recording. It works great for this, especially since I have a VGA monitor in my booth that can show me the timeline and/or the video. Timecode displays perfectly. The instructions to setup ProTransport (and ProRemote) are very well outlined on the authors website. If you have any issues the best way to get support is to contact the author using his AIM account which is provided on the website. I have found that he is very helpful in resolving problems, just be sure to get him during business hours. All in all great app, even though I was skeptical at first. Thanks!

### 1/5 — Don’t waste $4.99

*2020-11-09*

Very little support, and impossible to reach out to them..... Unless you want to communicate through Twitter.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2018-10-04, version 3.0.0*

Just waisted £5 as software is not compatible with Mac OS

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2015-04-27, version 2.5.3*

The app won't connect with my computer even with the firewall disabled.

### 1/5 — Waste of Time

*2013-09-18*

This is a waste of time and money.
Apple is supposed to be plug in and play.
I've lost over an hour of productivity trying to get this to work.
Been using mac os for over 10 years for music so I know what I'm doing.

### 1/5 — Compatability Issues

*2010-03-21, version 0*

Not compatible with Pro Tools 8.0.3 LE or M-Powered so avoid or wait for update

### 1/5 — Don't buy if you have a PC

*2009-08-18*

nowhere did yall mention that the protransport server only works on Macs. your app is USELESS to me since I run a PC. If I could give zero star I would!!!

### 1/5 — requirements?

*2009-01-10, version 0*

I love how under requirements they fail to mention there isn't a windows server for this application yet, apparently the developer hurt his arms.. Must have been from swimming in all that money collected off of proremote.. x; sike. gg Alex

### 1/5 — It's okay, as long as you don't have a control surface!

*2009-01-09*

In my case I have a Control 24 on my HD rig and a Command 8 on my LE rig, and you have to go into Pro Tools > Setup > Peripherals > Midi Controllers and disable either the C|24 or C|8. Then assign your peripherals to HUI and select ProRemote. After that it works fine. I want something that I can just use to control the transport bar with when I am tracking rough vocal ideas in the booth and don't have my engineer sitting behind the controls. If I were you I would just buy iTap for $1.99. All you need it to do (in my case at least) is use the cursor control over your Mac to start and stop recording on the transport. Waste of $7!

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2008-11-20, version 0*

I have wastes an afternoon trying with logic

### 2/5 — Mr John Russell BSc MT

*2009-08-26, version 0*

Great idea to control protools from another part of your studio. I've always had the problem of the basic functions ie record stop, arm record etc.
Now I can be 30 feet away and arm record and start/ stop now, rehearsal mode, contol volume and pan, scrub,
Although a bit sticky to work it's real fab for a fiver!!! Being on your own at studio will now take the pain from basic functionality now.
Well done.
John Russell, Glasgow, Scotland
PS - simple to set up too

### 5/5 — Finally!!!

*2013-02-17*

I finally found a remote app that works with my Logic. It took a bit to get it to work but after rescanning midi, it works great! No more running to the vocal booth after pushing record! I love this!!!!

### 5/5 — A life saver

*2012-07-23*

Before ProTransport and ProRemote LE, I was literally having to step in and out of my vocal booth during sessions whenever I had to start / stop and/or set levels on my DAW. As a voice actor and singer I work behind the mic normally as a remote performer from home, often with clients on the line directing me in real-time during sessions. Being able to have all the simple start/stop/playback controls I need is a big deal, as is ability to insert markers because that makes editing afterward go a lot faster. With ProTransport and ProRemote LE for controlling my channel, also my levels out and my clients' levels in for each side's comfortable listening, it's a very efficient professional workflow that helps me roll with how I always have to be my own engineer. Alex gives great support, too.

### 5/5 — ProRemote Support

*2012-02-01*

I've been running pro transport for
About a year, and loved it. Recently upgraded my Mac, and the app stopped communicating with logic... Very frustrating!! I got in touch with farout labs, where they instantly offered up suggestions as to what could be at foot....I tried these out and had no success. Reached out to the guys again, and Alex immediately set me up with an iChat conversation, where he took control of my computer, delved deep into some dark crevices of the machine , and solved the bug!!!
Absolutely first class, I'm so grateful and impressed - these guys care
About their product! 5 spangled stars!!

### 5/5 — Works perfect!

*2011-02-18, version 2.0.0*

Logic Express 8 with MacBook Pro. I can sit at the drums and control the software without getting up. Excellent.

### 5/5 — Sehr zu empfehlen

*2010-12-30, version 0*

Ein durchaus nützliches App. Oft sitze ich an den Keyboards und kann so ProTools direkt fernsteuern. Das App läuft stabil, ist leicht unter ProTools einzurichten und unterstützt den Arbeitfluss enorm. 5 points.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2010-06-24*

I don't know I used to record drums on my basement without this app. Perhaps the single most useful everyday application I own. Get it!

### 5/5 — Great app!!

*2010-06-22*

Use it without any troubles with Pro Tools HD on a mac. Has been the best few bucks ive spent on my whole studio in regards to function verses cost.
Love it!!!

### 5/5 — Midi waveform

*2010-06-22*

I think this is great but a scrubber should at least be able to see the waveform and or midi. This app is great but there really should be an app out there made by apple that let's you control garageband. And record from midi. That sounds like music to my ears. If only...!

### 5/5 — Thumbs up with Logic Pro 9 and Protools

*2009-10-12*

Responds well. Easy Install. Does what it's supposed to do.

### 5/5 — ProTransport rules!!!

*2009-09-27*

Just got it, at first it didn't work, of course, I forgot I had turned off Wi-fi on my phone, once I got it to connect, it was flawless, it's worth every penny, just the fact that I don't have to constantly reach for the mouse, or the keyboard when I'm away from the DAW playing an istrument, allows me to concentrate more on my performance, I use Protools LE 8, and an Intel Dual Core Mac Mini. I highly recomend it to everyone, especially, to those that do recording, and play any intrument at the same time in a home studio, since we are the only ones executing both tasks.
