Therefore it is useless for Medicare Advantage Plans. ### 1/5 — Does not work *2019-02-15, version 1.3* This app would be convenient to have if it would load properly. It takes forever to load, then crashes and closes. I have to try it a few times, and even then sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Now after not using it for a few months, I’m getting an error message saying my member ID is invalid or I’m a resident in an area where the e-card is not supported. ### 1/5 — Not useful at all *2019-01-03, version 1.3* Why wouldn’t they just combine this with their other app. I don’t want to have to use two different apps for one company. I had to dig around the website to learn that the PIN is (poorly) printed on the back of the single ID card mailed to me. And even with the proper PIN, I'm can't log in. And as a dev, I can't help but mention that the UI looks dated, at best. Very barebones, but it functioned as a digital copy of my insurance card. Offloaded the app for a while and when I reinstalled it, it wouldn’t recognize my login info. There’s no option to reset or get assistance or anything. Seems odd that a major insurance company wouldn’t have something as basic as an e-card. ### 1/5 — Useless *2023-07-20, version 1.3* I used the app for a while as an easy way to have access to my card. Recently the app stopped working, so I deleted and reinstalled, but now I can log in. Clicking “App support” on the App Store app description leads to a very humorous (read unhelpful) webpage - Providence’s web page. Wish I could get my cards back digitally. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on iPhone *2023-06-02, version 1.3* This app doesn’t even work on iPhone. Just crashes after hitting “login”. Multi billion dollar medical insurance company and medical provider network but can’t afford simple app development….. embarrassing honestly. ### 1/5 — Confusing app ownership, not available in my area?! *2022-06-10, version 1.3* I was hesitant to even download this since the developer name was not Providence but rather “Clarity Software Solutions”. But after researching online and confirming this is indeed legit, I downloaded it. The initial screen is confusing - it doesn’t ask you to “sign up”, “create an account”, etc, as is typical with 99% of similar solutions, it just has a PIN, a Member ID and a login button. Ok fine, I choose a pin, enter my member ID…and get an error that either my member ID is incorrect (which it isnt) or this app is not available in your area. Which is weird because every other insurance company I’ve had for the past 10+ years has had a mobile app. Very disappointed in Providence’s weak digital strategy. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2021-10-16, version 1.3* After reading a review of two years ago, I find that the same problems exist with this app. It either doesn’t recognize my member number or tells me that I don’t live in a proper area ## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Current version works *2020-02-10, version 1.3* I’m on iOS 13.3 and it’s working just fine. ### 5/5 — So Convenient! *2017-11-18, version 1.3* I love this app! It just requires the PIN and ID # from the physical card...no separate account needed. It’s a very simple but effective design - it simply lists the names of everyone in my family with card images for each one. My favorite feature is the ability to fax or email the card somewhere. I emailed mine to myself when I couldn’t find my physical card one time. I then faxed it to my doctor’s office when they needed an updated copy (I did it right from the waiting room). They showed me how it turned out and there were clean front and back images the same side as the actual card. Pretty cool! ### 5/5 — Smart & convenient app, and... *2011-11-15, version 1.0* I just want to add that both Providence Health Plan and Providence Hospitals are super well-run, and both also have big hearts. Patients come first That's a rare thing in today's frenetically profit-driven health care landscape, so thank you! An additional feature to consider might be a GPS location map of (in-network) Providence immediate care clinics, which require a significantly lower copay than going to a randomly-chosen urgent care clinic when a visit is needed. I believe this would be useful for patients, and it is not difficult to implement using Google Maps API. ### 5/5 — What an awesome app! *2011-07-23, version 1.0* This is a great way to make it so that I don't have to carry around the insurance cards for my whole family.
