## What is ProVinyl?

That wall of records is worth more than you think and it deserves something better than a spreadsheet.
 
ProVinyl gets your crate organized, valued, and ready to show off. Hook up Discogs and your whole collection (and wantlist) lands in your pocket, no re-typing cat numbers, no "wait, did I already buy this?"

Know what your crate's worth
  - See a live value for the whole collection, plus a per-record number based on the condition you graded it. Spoiler: it adds up fast.

Log what you actually paid
  - Drop in what each copy cost you and watch your gain or loss across the shelf. That $4 bin find that's now worth $80? Receipts.

 Grade every copy like you mean it
  - Set media and sleeve condition with proper grades, so your inventory tells the truth, not just "I own this release" but "I own this copy."

Make every record yours
  - Snap your own photos of a pressing and leave a note , "first press, Amoeba SF, paid too much, worth it." The story stays with the record.

Pull a real appraisal PDF
  - One tap and you've got a clean, itemized appraisal of the whole collection; your values, your cost basis. Great for insurance, great for bragging.

Hunt with a wantlist
  - Keep the white whales in one place, then move them into your collection the second you finally score one.

A profile worth flexing
  - Get a public page and share card for your collection, a clean link to post, drop in the group chat, or wave at the people still using a notes app.

Guided tours

New here, or never found half the app? Tap through a walkthrough of your
Collection and of a record's page — a spotlight on each control with a note
on what it does. Replay any tour any time from Profile → Feature tours.

Recently played, on your public page

Show the last 10 records you've actually put on, newest first, right on your
public profile. It's off until you turn it on in Profile → Privacy, and
visitors can't tell "off" from "nothing yet." Tap any sleeve to open the
record.

Add from someone else's shelf

Browsing another collector's record? You can now add it straight to your own
collection or wantlist. Their grades, value and notes stay theirs — only the
release comes across.

Song search is free on every tier

Listening for a song to identify a record runs entirely on your device, so
it's no longer behind Pro. Tap the listen button in a record's header or in
the Add sheet and it just opens. (Image search stays Pro — that one costs a
real lookup.)

Fixes

• Flicking sideways through Recently played no longer backs you out of the
  profile you were on.
• "Public page not showing?" is now a row in Profile, instead of buried
  inside the share sheet.
• Records with no cover art no longer crowd real sleeves out of the shelf
  strip on a public page.

Collector profiles got a makeover

Open someone's profile and you'll see their records first — real cover art, leaned together like a crate you can flip through. Friends and profiles are proper pages now, so going from your friends list to a collector to one of their records feels natural, and back always lands you where you left off.

See what they've been spinning

A collector's page can now show the last 10 records they actually put on, newest first. Tap one to open it. It's off until you turn it on: Profile › Privacy › Show recently played.

Spot something you want? Take it

Open any record on someone else's shelf and you can add it straight to your collection or your wantlist. You get the record — their grades, notes, and photos stay theirs.

Search for collectors

Type a name and results show up as you go — no more needing to know the exact username. Rather stay out of search? There's a Discoverable switch in Profile › Privacy.

Show me around

New here, or never found half of it? ProVinyl now walks you through the Collection screen and a record's page the first time you land on each, pointing at things as it goes. Replay either one any time from Profile › Feature tours.

Song search is free for everyone

Hold up your phone, and ProVinyl names the song playing and finds the records it's pressed on. It used to be a Pro feature — it isn't any more, on any plan.

Add what you paid

Open any record you own and enter what you paid and when. Your appraisal picks it up automatically, and you'll finally see what your collection cost you next to what it's worth today. Got one for free? Enter $0 — it still counts.

See what your appraisal is missing

Choose an insurance appraisal and we'll show you what still needs work: how many records need a grade, a value, a photo or a price, and which one to start with. Records with no grade come first, since those can't be priced at all.

You can also switch notes on or off for insurance exports now. It's your call what ends up on the document.

Light and dark mode

The appearance setting is back — you'll find it in Profile › Preferences.

Smaller fixes

• Records with no cover art no longer turn a profile's shelf into a row of text
• Swiping through a profile's records stays on the page instead of backing out
• Custom covers show up everywhere right away, and stop vanishing after a while
• Purchase dates save the day you actually picked
• "Public page not showing?" is now a row in Profile, not buried in the share screen
• Profiles start at the top when you switch tabs
• Your friends list says when something didn't load instead of looking empty
• Pull to refresh on friends and collector profiles
• Search now shows up on smaller collections
• Tidied up the export screen

• Your photos as cover art — Make your own photo a record's cover, and it shows on Now Spinning too.
• Can't decide what to play? — The new random picker shuffles your shelf and skips the records you've spun recently.
• Recently played — Overview now shows the last 10 records you've spun.
• Top artists — See which artists dominate your collection, and tune how far back "Recently added" looks.
• Lyrics — Open a track's lyrics right from the record detail.
• Sort your shelf — A new sort menu in your library, synced with your preferences on the web.
• Show off your setup — Add your turntable, cartridge, and speakers to your public profile.

Filter by genre

Your collection just got easier to browse. New genre pills sit right above your Collection and Wantlist — tap Jazz, Funk / Soul, Hip Hop, or any genre in your library to instantly filter your records. Each pill shows how many records you have in that genre, and tapping again brings everything back.
