## Newest reviews (13 of 27)

### 1/5 — Lost access to my PSIA card and the Matrix!

*2020-01-29, version 7.0.7*

These were important features to me. The app is no longer useful in its current state!

### 1/5 — Help!

*2020-01-16, version 7.0.7*

Must not be working yet. 32 degrees etc should be a menu item. It’s mixed in with manuals. Manuals should be discipline specific or at least in a manuals section. Audio manuals should probably be in their own section. We want to be able to search quickly for what we’re looking for. Not to mention our member card is missing.
This update seems to be released prematurely.

### 1/5 — Horrible update

*2020-01-16, version 7.0.7*

I just deleted and reinstalled a newer version as one of the new manuals that I purchased wasn’t linking. Now, I have access to 0 of my manuals... what a drag - sad I am paying money for the digital copies.

### 1/5 — Get out of the back seat

*2020-01-09, version 7.0.7*

New release is awful. It’s like watching someone try to make a parallel turn with all their weight on their tails. Please hire someone to fix this app. I am relying on my digital copies to study for my Level 2 and I currently have no access to any of my manuals.

### 1/5 — No login screen

*2020-01-05, version 3.2*

I can’t log in, so obviously I can’t download my purchased content. This is a huge oversight.

### 1/5 — No log in section

*2019-12-27, version 3.2*

I just downloaded the app and there is no long in section that it refers in help section. I can’t access anything. I am using iOS 13.3.

### 1/5 — App Needs to be Scrapped

*2019-12-26, version 3.2*

What I would give to simply be able to read these manuals. App does not work.

### 1/5 — Just demolish this thing and start over

*2019-12-14, version 3.2*

I love the idea of PSIA-AASI having an app, however, this is useless.

### 1/5 — Needs massive amount of work

*2019-10-05, version 3.2*

Would be better if I could listen to the audio book with my screen off. Come one please fix!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t do anything!

*2018-12-12, version 3.2*

No manuals. Catalog is a 250mb download with no way to stream. Membership card can’t be saved or shared, hitting the share button takes you to the website.

So what is the point? Why are you wasting OUR money on an app that doesn’t work?

### 1/5 — Pain in the neck!

*2018-11-30, version 3.2*

I can login to the website on my computer but not on this app, it is useless. It tells me it doesn’t recognize my username and password, is this something to do with iPhone, does the same thing happen with droids?

### 1/5 — Login Issues

*2018-03-27, version 3.1*

Can login to the website, but not the app. Terrible, we expect better from PSIA.

### 1/5 — This app is NOT easy to use

*2016-03-13, version 1.1.8*

First, the help section doesn't match the terminology that's in the app and the help directions aren't particularly helpful. Second, I can't figure out how to watch MA videos. I can only download the magazines (which I already have on my coffee table) or watch the other miscellaneous content on YouTube. I wanted to be able to use this app to train when I'm not in front of my computer.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Help??!!

*2024-07-01*

This app is not fully baked. Our organization charges a pretty hefty annual dues. This entrance fee should at least give access to our technical manuals in an easy intuitive way. I have yet to figure out the easy and intuitive way.

### 1/5 — Better, but still not great

*2024-02-12*

This app allows digital access to all PSIA-AASI content that a member has access to.

I like that the resources are now sorted by category so that one can more quickly find the resource they want.

The app still requires a log in to access each individual publication that I have purchased or have access to. This is aggravating, because if I’m trying to jump around between resources, I have to log in multiple times to open everything. Also, after a few days, the system requires you to log in again to access the same resources you had opened a few days prior.

There is a real opportunity here to streamline the app by requiring one login to the app that would then allow access to all eligible resources.

I recently started listening to the teaching manual in the car on drives to my ski resort, and I have feedback to offer about the audio version as well. The narration is great. However, the audio player is rudimentary at best. There is no way to save your location to return to later, so if you are going to log out for a day or two, you have to try to remember where you left off and then attempt to find that spot using the slider bar. But, the audio player functions are at the bottom of the screen in the same spot as the horizontal bar that Apple provides to swipe up to close an app. Whoops.

There is still lots of opportunity for improvement with this app.

### 1/5 — Total Failure

*2023-11-11*

It doesn’t work. Tried rebooting phone, delete and readd app, various combinations. Can’t get past start up screen. My software is totally up to date and no memory issues on my phone. I’d give it’0’ stars if I could. Tried on 3 other apple devices…another newer iPhone and 2 different iPads. Does not work on any of them. You know Apple software have had several major updates in the past 6 mos.

### 1/5 — Poor navigation, not intuitive

*2023-02-13*

This app is terrible. It is not intuitive. It is difficult to navigate. I generally avoid it, because it is so difficult to use.

For one, the app should require one log-in to access all resources that one has purchased. Instead, it requires you to log in separately for each resource that one has access to.

The app should separate purchased resources from unpurchased resources. Instead, it displays ALL available resources, whether one has purchased or has access to it or not. This simply clutters up the visual display.

The app should separate periodicals from purchased resources so that one can more easily find purchased resources.

The app should more clearly specify audio vs non-audio sources.

The periodicals have not been updated since 2021.

The app does none of these things and instead creates a huge obstacle in accessing the valuable information it contains.

### 1/5 — Can’t even log in

*2023-01-26, version 7.0.21*

Terrible navigation for the free content. Login fails for purchases.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2022-11-23, version 7.0.14*

Crashes often. Does not load correct manuals once access has been granted, If access is granted. Slow load time. Log in required every time you go from one manual to the next. Most of the time once in the login screen app crashes. Horrible user integration.
Start over guys. This is a useless app that never gets used by any pros

### 1/5 — PSIA Garbage

*2022-03-02, version 7.0.14*

Wow, just read all the reviews. Some as far back as seven years ago. This app is a bunch of crap. PSIA should be completely ashamed of having this product out there for people to try to use. If we gave this kind of service and product to our customers they probably push us off a cliff. Remove this app now! Get rid of it until it is corrected and usable.

### 1/5 — Gotta admit this is super frustrating

*2022-01-10, version 7.0.14*

Paid 20 bucks for digital course but can’t even access it because the menu won’t load. Also can’t use app in split view so taking notes is impossible/annoying. Reading the other reviews from over a year ago I can see I’m not alone. I can’t believe that so many instructors can pay hundreds of dollars over their lifetime in PSIA-AASI membership and be given this app. It’s basically a website that pretends it’s an app. Go online forget the app. Firefox has better features.

### 1/5 — Software Garbage

*2022-01-05, version 7.0.14*

This software is garbage. It does not work, it’s amazing that it’s even on the Apple web site because it’s obvious the person that developed it has no clue how to test the product in multiple scenarios.

It’s unfortunate that negative stars or zero stars cannot be used. This product would surely be in negative territory.

### 1/5 — A downgrade, not an upgrade

*2020-03-04, version 7.0.7*

Let’s throw all the content into one pile, require repeat logins any time you move to a different item and throw in a never-ending stream of cookie disclosures just for fun. The app had its shortcomings before but at least it was useable. This version should live in the garbage can.

## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated)

### 3/5 — There is definitely room for improvement

*2020-01-21, version 7.0.7*

Please make it so that the audiobook remembers your place when you close the app and continues playing in the background when you turn the screen off or navigate away from the audiobook... this would be a huge improvement. Thanks.

### 2/5 — The worst online reading/magazine app I have seen

*2017-02-22, version 1.2.2*

I love to get my content digitally, but this app is the worst of the lot.

1-After you join PSIA and buy a technical manual, there is a delay of several days before you can get it on your device. PSIA had no idea what was going on, and couldn't understand why I could not read the manual I just bought.

2-There needs to be a reading mode which just had the words and pictures without the page layout. This would make it much easier to read in devices.

3-The cost of the online manuals should be drastically reduced or included in our annual membership fees. You would think they would want to get all the great and latest information out to all instructors instead of using it for profit.

### 2/5 — Too little too late

*2015-01-13, version 1.1.1*

Well, if we want to be top of the line with latest & greatest technics as instructors, the app offers no value. I have been awaiting for such long time for a PSIA app, but this offers not much value. It is a great start to right direction but indeed needs constant improvement till it provides the value/quality that it needs to provide.

### 2/5 — Frusturated

*2015-01-09, version 1.1.1*

Frustrating that you guys make so much money off of us broke ski instructors and then can't even hire a decent programmer to work your website and app. I don't have a computer and accessing my account at thesnowpros.org is not possible on an iPhone yet for some reason, so I was super stoked when I saw this app. However, I can't even read material or open study guides or watch videos. None of it works. Okay the magazines work, but I have those sitting on my coffee table.

What I want in a PSIA-AASI app is my study materials. I want to be able to study for level 2 snowboarding cert or freestyle cert or level 1 skiing cert on the go. I want to be able to pull it up on the chairlift when I feel the urge. However, at the moment I can't even pull it up on my couch on wifi.

Hope you guys can get this app figured out cause it has a lot of potential. I would love to be able to access my pro-deals accounts from this app as well.
