Your assessments, scores, notes, and history are stored locally on your device. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, and no tracking. The only network activity is the optional in-app feedback form — and that's only if you choose to send us a message. Camera, photos & location: the app does not request or use your camera, microphone, photo library, or location. Deleting your data: your analyses live only on your device. Start a new analysis from any screen — Case Files, Progress, a case's detail page, or your results — and if you have unfinished work, the app asks first and lets you pick up right where you left off, down to the exact question. Calmer by design. Turn on Reduce Motion and the entire app respects it — badge and rank-up celebrations appear instantly and stay perfectly still, with no fades, slides, or pops. Same recognition, zero distraction. Celebrations that feel right. Tap a badge notification and it now takes you straight to that badge, spotlighted on your Progress screen — even a second time. And if you reset your data and re-earn a rank, you get the full celebration all over again. Smarter feedback delivery. Feedback you write while offline now sends itself automatically the next time you open the app — no tap needed. Spotty connection? The app tells you honestly what was sent and keeps the rest safely saved. Bulletproof backups. Restoring a backup now brings back everything — your analyses, case files, analyst rank and XP, weekly streaks, theme, and haptics preferences. Damaged or tampered backup files are handled gracefully: whatever's valid restores, and nothing corrupt can sneak into your Case Files. You'll know if something's wrong. If your device ever fails to save your data, the app warns you immediately — and now also catches the rare case where deleted data could reappear. ### 1.3.0 — 2026-07-14 What's Changed in PsyOp Detector v1.3.0 New features: 1. Quick Triage mode — A shortened 5-question assessment flow alongside the existing full 20-question analysis. Triage results are shown to the user but intentionally not saved to history, so long-term trends remain based only on complete analyses. 2. Shareable result cards — Users can generate an image card of their assessment result to share via the standard iOS share sheet. Sharing is user-initiated only; nothing is transmitted automatically. 3. Trends tab — A dedicated tab visualizing the user's own assessment history over time (moved from a home-screen icon into the main tab bar). 4. Gamification system — Analyst Ranks with XP, 11 achievements, weekly streaks, a Training Quiz, and a Calibration Challenge, accessible from a new Progress hub. All progress data is stored locally on the device. 5. Debiasing tools — A "Steelman Check" step (five counter-narrative prompts) before finalizing a full analysis, and a rotating "Indicator of the Day" educational card on the Home screen. The daily rotation is deterministic and requires no network connection. Navigation and UI: 6. Restructured app navigation and tab layout; reordered sections on the Settings screen. 7. Backup & Restore (export/import all data to a file): Right now everything lives only on your device — if your phone is lost or the app is reinstalled, all analyses are gone. A “Export my data” / “Import” pair protects against that while staying 100% cloud-free. Duplicates are skipped automatically — you can safely re-import without creating copies. Case Files: Track an evolving event over time. You can link multiple assessments of the same unfolding story and see how its manipulation score shifts week to week. The case list shows each tracked story with its latest score and whether it's escalating, cooling, or steady. Tapping a case opens a timeline with a score-trajectory chart, every entry, and an "Add entry to this case" button. You can unlink any entry without deleting it from your log. Psyops evolve, and watching a narrative escalate is exactly what your users want. Personal Insights Dashboard: Your most-flagged tactics, average score by category, how many critical events you’ve logged. Pure on-device math, turns the log into a mirror that keeps you informed.
