Going to move to a different bank because of it ### 1/5 — Dreadful app. Everyone should be ashamed of themselves. *2024-05-24, version 10.5* Still no Touch or FaceID. Terrible scrolling through transactions, the absolute basics of a banking app. This app is a mess. It’s like a trip down memory lane on how apps used to be about 10 years ago and has learnt nothing about how an iOS app should be designed in 2024. ### 2/5 — Better, but still bad *2024-01-21, version 10.4* No Face ID. All your transactions are held inside a small little container that requires a PhD to work out how to navigate. To see a few more transactions, you have to re-authenticate every time? Screen randomly freezes requiring app force close. You can’t go back to transactions from a couple of years ago. Awful app unfortunately, but not surprised. Will be switching everything over to Revolut. This app could learn a bit from the likes of Monzo, Starling in the UK. ### 1/5 — Login atrocious *2024-01-19* App says error and will not let me login for days without an app delete and reinstall. PTSB remain unserious about user design, prioritizing security theatre instead. ### 1/5 — App won’t even open *2024-01-06* PTSB screen loads, then app closes. Awful app. ### 1/5 — App does not work *2023-11-29* The app literally does not work for me or anyone I know, using identical login details which allow me to login online. The level of cheapness and mediocrity is astounding. Permanent TSB are a farce for allowing this app to remain broken. Avoid the app and the bank. ### 2/5 — Extremely poor banking app *2023-10-20, version 10.3* It’s the glitchiest one on my phone. And you need it to bank on your laptop. Plus, they’ve now upped their current account charges as of September 23 quite significantly. Bank with someone else ### 1/5 — Terrible *2023-09-03* It’s a terrible app, never works. I have to delete and install it over and over again. There is always something wrong with it. When you manage to finally log in - it’s great but it happens very rarely. ### 2/5 — Better and worse *2023-08-31, version 10.0.1* The latest update is an improvement but there are two serious flaws: 1. No face ID. This is a serious failure for 2023 2. I can now only see four past transactions. Whatever I do with the "filter" has no effect. This makes the app almost unusable. Developers - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE install Face ID and cure your filter asap. It is almost.gwtting to the stage where I am going to dump this bank and move to my 3rd choice - AIB. ### 1/5 — Very poor *2023-07-26, version 10.0* Very poor app, you regularly need to open and close it multiple times just to sign in. ### 1/5 — Medieval Banking…. At its worst. *2023-07-25* 2023 and still no biometric login to the app. The only bank that I know of in existence to still not have it. Their IT systems are held together with duct tape it seems. Frequent outages including their lodgement machines swallowing your cash and crashing. The only reason I’m still with them is because I’ve free banking for life. Get your act together PTSB and upgrade your IT!!!!! ### 1/5 — Poor design. Unable to login. *2023-04-27, version 9.1* Unable to log in most of the time! Hard to see transactions clearly and efficiently . Lack of support in general from the bank however banking in Ireland is poor generally all round no wonder people immigrate. Awful that they charge aswell shocking tbh never have that in the uk especially for such a basic account ### 1/5 — Laughable *2023-01-29, version 8.2* You need to put your mind in the space where apps were only new. If you like a bit of retro nostalgia you will love this app. Jokes aside, it is beyond awful. Can’t believe this is associated to a major bank in 2023. Clunky and ridden with error messages. Rang multiple times to resolve issue but to no avail. Useless. ### 2/5 — Clunky, poor functionality *2022-12-09, version 8.0* Quite a basic design, can’t login using Face ID which is poor - instead the 90s technology of using part of a 6 digit pin is required. When balances / transfers are display they are all in one format and colour so it’s hard to know if money is coming in or out. Well this week the app refused to move past the login screen. Not exactly user friendly. An app is supposed to compliment the customer experience. I'm submitting this review in October 2024 and the app is significantly updated so it now does everything that I need a bank app to do ### 5/5 — Big improvement! *2024-02-19, version 10.4* Having felt that the old app was much in need of a ‘shake up’ I now find the new mobile app a much improved model in terms of visuals, accessibility and navigation. Very happy! ### 5/5 — Fingerprint login? *2017-05-30, version 2.0* I'm really happy with all functions and the reliability of this app. It's never crashed and I've had no problems with it at all. My only complaint is how much data I have to enter to login, are there any plans to introduce fingerprint authentication to login like other major banks have? I bank with Lloyds in the U.K. And I can instantly gain access to my accounts on their mobile app using my finger print on iPhone 7. I can set up a trusted payee with their details. ### 3/5 — Enable Touch ID Please!! *2019-04-11* The entire app isn’t super user friendly, it’s not clear and not quick to access different areas of the app. I would like it to have my information and account balance right on the screen when I log in, and everything clear to see and easy to access. The password and security number every single time I log in?
