[Incredible Tool - iOS user] - *****
I’m someone who is accustomed to burying my head in the sand when it comes to my mental health and allowing my thoughts to spiral to the depths of the deepest bogs. Whilst I have tentatively tried other apps and tools, nothing has seemed to help with my continuous cycle of struggle. This app has given me the vital tools to retrain my mind to slow down and halt the downward spiral and instead find a way to bring me back to a place of calm and comfort. There is a sense of self-care and empowerment, knowing I am taking control of my mental health and although I am doing it by myself, I never feel alone in my journey.

You need to dedicate a small amount of time to it (in the grand scheme of things) but you will get results. It’s the small wins that amount to the big ones and Ed can Help is really helping my mindset to shift for the better, bringing with it a new sense of calm.

When you subscribe to Ed can Help, Ed (our founder & qualified psychotherapist) will provide guidance & support on how to get the most out of our sound therapy and help you with your mental health.

### 1/5 — Caused a traumatic episode

*2026-01-07, version 1.0.19*

When I was 19 (I’m now 22) a psychiatrist I had for a time referred me to this app to help with my anxiety. Listening to it was very triggering, I felt unsafe, scared and anxious. When I told my psychiatrist this he simply said ‘well it seems to be working, this is a process that will help’. So I continued to use the app, and these feeling continued, until I had a really intense reaction and hurt myself in panic. I again told my psychiatrist this and he again said this was the app working. I stopped using it after that regardless because I really didn’t want to go through that again. Maybe it works for some folks, but it really didn’t for me, possibly because I’m autistic, or other factors I’m not sure. Point is, use with care, this does not work for everyone.

### 2/5 — Where is the evidence?

*2025-08-23, version 1.0.19*

I cannot find any independent evaluation or clinical evidence to support this particular app. There is one paper that finds some benefit for the use of digital sound when combined with music, but not when used alone. Also where is their Orcha rating? It is announced but not displayed. Orcha does not recognise apps that score below 65.

### 1/5 — Every word matters

*2025-05-12*

Sheeple have a bad tendency to not watch their words. There’s such a thing called NLP for a reason.
You’re telling me this app is a “PTSD and Trauma aid”.
Why would I need help making my PTSD and trauma worse?
It’s always obvious when Americans or Indians write apps because the language is so poor it actually causes more harm than good.

It should read:
PTSD and trauma RECOVERY aid.
Man, how does anyone expect to get better if you can’t even speak or read proper English?

It’s like when people say: He was a BAD criminal.
Nooooo he was successful, which makes him a GOOD criminal!
He was a bad person.

And by the way, the rest of the world has dropped the D in PTSD a decades ago. Finally, after some of us with a brain knew it was wrong and harmful to your mind. So right off the bat this app is harmful.

NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY AMERICANS USE THE WORD WOKE - because it is near impossible to find one American, who is not an oppressed, conformist being who the public wants them to be.

### 5/5 — Helped me overcome catastrophising.

*2024-05-10, version 1.0.18*

This app really helped me change my life. Last year I went through mental health challenges due to my upbringing. I was going through a personal development change which resulted in catastrophising - the latter feels like you’re unable to control the mind when triggers arise. I followed Ed’s instructions and also made notes of why these triggers arose. The result was being able to breathe and take a minute as triggers arose and change my thoughts. The results are long lasting. My therapist was amazed at how fast I was able to define and move through deep rooted trauma. It also made me realise how much I’ve achieved with trauma so going forward life is much brighter. Huge thanks to Ed and the team.

### 1/5 — This sound is painful

*2024-03-11, version 1.0.18*

The sound of silence is better than this app, in fact, watching any video of Ed is probably more effective than what this app purportedly does - 5 seconds of listening to that fella and I’m asleep. Tried the sound, didn’t like it, deleted. Thanks, but no thanks.

### 5/5 — Wonderful App

*2024-02-20, version 1.0.18*

Fantastic, powerful healing tool. We have all experienced trauma in some form or other and this app magically eliminates any stress, anxiety or other harmful emotions. All my adult children are using it and I love it. Created by a man with great integrity. People only care what someone knows when they know that someone cares. Ed really cares. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Brilliant!!!

*2024-01-30, version 1.0.18*

This app is brilliant for mental well-being. There are loads of mindset apps out there that don’t work. This app does work brilliantly by transforming overwhelming thoughts and feelings leaving you with a sense of peace and freedom every day. This is a must have app for daily self care.

### 5/5 — Really Helpful

*2024-01-27, version 1.0.18*

This App helped with my EMDR therapy carried out with Ed to assist with overcoming blood test fear.

### 5/5 — Multi faceted help for the mind

*2023-12-04, version 1.0.18*

I have been doing this for over three weeks now. It has helped me in many ways. I find it meditative and as such quietens the chatter in my head within a current overwhelming situation. It has also helped bring up, make some peace, and therefore the ability to process, past negative experiences that have been sitting in the semi-subconscious, but effecting my life. And, it is helping, with work, to reprocess negative thoughts and create a different and more positive story for myself. Thanks Ed

### 2/5 — No change after a week

*2023-07-29, version 1.0.17*

I’m mystified by all the positive reviews as this app gives me a headache, the noise is dreadful and thinking about things that make me anxious just leads to more anxiety. I’m glad I didn’t pay as I got it free working for a charity.
Update - a lovely response from the company and I appreciate this helps some so worth a trial if you can get it free.
