Would be helpful in reducing the number of irresponsible drivers. And it’s also an amazing app for reporting bikers. Thanks for creating a platform to report Traffic mishaps! ### 4/5 — Invokes a sense of social responsibility. *2019-10-19* List of offences to be reported are fairly well covered. Reporting is enabled for people who can be an extension of the policing function for safety and security of society. One of the major offences yet to be included is “Parking on Intersections or in Road Corners” that creates traffic congestion and blocks other drivers from taking a turn. It must be included in India also like most foreign nations. ### 3/5 — More categories would be nice *2019-07-25* This is very useful app. Its very difficult for countries like india to monitor every violators in a huge population. It would be nice if you could post the action taken on the complaints. Also additional categories would be helpfull or free text complaint. I see some public carriers ( seems without permit) which looks horrible in conditions such no break lamp, no side mirrors. In such cases I don’t have option to rise a complaint. ### 4/5 — Easy to use but hoping for a faster response *2019-07-22* The app is pretty good and very easy to use. However, have filed over 20 complaints in the last 5 days but see no response so far. Even an acknowledgement that the complaint is being looked into would encourage one to continue to file complaints. ### 4/5 — Add rewards *2018-10-22, version 4.2* This is a good initiative and well work, but there are only few people cares to take responsibility, If you can add reward of 5-10 ra per complaint which can be used to pay their fines, reward points which can waive their fines. By doing this i guess we can turn more citizens to policemen and we can reduce the number of polices standing in the streets all day long. ### 3/5 — Need improvement *2017-09-02* It a good thought to avoid traffic violations. But app has to be improved. When we take pic, number plate can be easily readable. After uploading it to the app, number plate looks like blurred, I think app up taking photo quality should be improved. As usual this app might have given to amateur team or relatives of political back ground to develop. It's better to give to good software company, I am sure there are good private companies which can cope up the needs. I appreciate the effort by traffic police team. Hope suggestions will help them. Need update on kind of action taken, which would encourage public to post here. ### 2/5 — Good App - Poor Service and turn around times *2017-03-04, version 3.0* Not happy with the turn around times on reports violations. The reports are shown as resolved - but no action is taken. No fines show up for the reported violation even after a week of the reported violation. So far I have reported about 10 violations but no action has been taken - fine issued on any one of them. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Does not work *2026-05-14, version 4.2.13* No option to register nor the login works.. this app does not work in IOS ### 1/5 — Funny Rejection remarks of violations posted *2024-04-22* Well, after a long snooze time Public eye is responding to violations posted. Im amazed on rejection remarks. In a violation where both rider and pillion of a scooter were not wearing helmet, I posted 2 violations-one for rider and another for pillion. One got accepted and another rejected saying image is blur (for the same photo) 😀. Looks like the staff plays like a Multiple choice questions and chooses some random answer 🤣. Similarly for other photo (not wearing helmet) which was clicked in bright day sunlight , rejected saying violation not visible (open your eyes and see man..🤪) ### 1/5 — Resolution can not be trusted *2023-05-12* Most of the time in case of Traffic violators are from Govt especially Police dept then the comment or action is not trustable. Dept has to share receipt details of that violation until then case status shouldn’t be resolved. Issue will be resolved once violator penalised, paid and receipt generated. Until then it’s waste of time to take a snap and post. Dept people are the most who breach the rules. And one of police only told me that they can delete complaints from the server. Now is this really worth, trustworthy? ### 1/5 — Eh *2023-04-22, version 4.2.10* 1. I doubt real people look through complains daily 2. Cant even login once you log out of app it doesn’t sent OTP. I have messages and tweeted about this but no response ### 1/5 — App is not working *2021-07-01, version 4.2.8* I’m not able to login are app is not sending OTP to login. This app is not registered with Facebook so you continue login Through Facebook ID. ### 1/5 — They mark everything as solved. *2019-09-17* Whatever you post, they just close the complaint saying that they booked the complaint and that the offender will be penalised. When you check for fines against that vehicle number, you will not find anything. People who feel happy that their complaint was accepted - first check if it’s real or not. This happens always, and they never actually book a case. You just get a reply from Traffic Police saying it’s done. These are automated replies. So, the app is useless. Don’t waste your time taking pictures and posting complaints. (You can verify complaints against a vehicle by searching for ‘Check BTP Fines’ on Google and following the links) ### 2/5 — Love the idea, but the app could be so much better *2026-07-10, version 4.2.13* I’ve been using this app from 2022 until early 2026. The idea behind it is fantastic because it allows citizens to report traffic violations by uploading photos. It’s a great way to promote road safety and public participation. Unfortunately, the execution hasn’t lived up to the concept. One question I’ve always had is whether these reports are actually reviewed by police officers or if they’re handled entirely by an automated system. It often feels like image clarity matters more than whether the traffic violation itself is clearly documented. Most of my reports have been accepted, but after that, there’s no transparency about what happens next or whether any action is taken. The app also hasn’t received a meaningful software update in years. I’ve seen many App Store reviews suggesting a reward or incentive system to encourage more people to report traffic violations, and I think that’s an excellent idea. Even a small incentive, such as ₹10 for every 100 verified reports or something of similar value, could encourage more people to participate while helping improve road safety. Rewards should only be given for verified reports to discourage spam and false submissions. More recently, in 2026, I haven’t been able to log in using either my Indian phone number or my email address, even though I already have an account. Not being able to access the app is extremely frustrating. Looking through the App Store reviews, I’ve noticed many other iOS users reporting the same login issue. This app has tremendous potential, but it needs active maintenance, better transparency about what happens to submitted reports, and fixes for the ongoing login problems. I sincerely hope the developers invest in improving and reviving it because the concept is too good to be neglected. ### 2/5 — Inconsistent evaluation! not possible to capture entire violation in one photo! *2024-03-16* I have posted many complaints of cars and two wheelers parked in front if my gate blocking my access. But your review is inconsistent, sometimes resolved sometimes rejected even for exactly similar images! And there is no way to appeal your decision or contact you. You allow only one image so if a car is parked right in front of my gate, it is impossible to capture the license number and the no parking sign on my gate and then you reject it! Any vehicle parked parked fully or even partially in front of somebody’s gate has to be penalized! You should not reject. Thank you! ### 2/5 — Needs greater seriousness *2022-11-27* Heavy vehicles including tourist busses and trucks are parked in residential areas and the complaint get rejected after 3 or 4 days sighting reasons that the “NO PARKING” board is not visible in picture . I would like to know if it is permitted to park heavy vehicles on short or long term basis inside the city and especially in residential areas. We need support more than description of loopholes in law . Also , swift action will be highly appreciated . It is indeed a very nice tool if utilised in an appropriate manner . ### 2/5 — Problems with app *2019-09-14* While this app is in principle a good idea apart from the fact that it is not clear if the fines are actually made there are problems with logging on. I used to use Facebook and had used it to log in along with my Gmail and phone number at some point. Now it does not allow me to log in as it asks for my Facebook account log in which I cannot do anymore. At the same time it sends me an OTP with no place to enter it.. Recently it’s not taking the location by itself if moved away from the location. Also multiple photo option is needed for reporting vehicles without number plate. ### 5/5 — Bangalore badly needed this app *2024-11-12* Simple UI to report traffic violations. Don’t be disheartened initially when you don’t get a response. BTP takes about 15 days to a month to review. I sincerely hope a day would come when Bangalore won’t need this app. ### 5/5 — Parking in front of others residences *2022-11-27* Bangalore Traffic Police has to register and fine offenders for parking in front of others residences. It’s a nuisance. Many times, we see people doing wrong on streets by disobeying traffic rules & this make it easy to report the violations to police. ### 5/5 — Much needed App *2022-03-14* Much needed app. Easy and convenient. However you must just trust that the violators are actually penalised. However it is still better to have this tool than nothing. Even if a fraction of the reporting gets processed through to penalty, it will have a tremendous impact. ### 5/5 — Full screen Issue *2020-09-30* When we click on the bulletin or the tabs , it’s going to full-size and we are unable to click on done button or we are unable to come back on iPhone XR the done button will be towards the left hand side and we are unable to click that . Please resolve the issue ### 5/5 — Wonderful App *2018-12-19* It’s a wonderful App. I use to take pictures of violations and send them to my computer and upload them on Public Eye website. Now the process is simple. No need to enter vehicle details, location etc. But all violations whether they booked or not was not given to complainant. I really doubt if BTP has a team which looks into the complaints and also update status of complaints. ### 5/5 — No monetary benefits to us! *2017-04-25* Recently tried to report a traffic violation, and the car belonged to some minister's son! My phone almost was saved from getting snatched. I no longer report violations.
