Freezing now asks how much is going in. Anything short of the whole bag splits it in two, with the frozen half's freshness clock paused, the rest still running, and the price divided by weight so your costs still add up. Both halves stay linked as the same coffee. • Single dosing from the freezer. If you freeze in tubes and take one dose at a time, brewing no longer thaws the whole bag behind your back. • Extraction yield. Enter a TDS reading and Puck Yeah works out how much coffee you actually pulled out of the grounds, plotted on a brewing control chart against the gold cup range. • A fuller read on every shot. Shot analysis now reads your own history instead of leaning on a scale, so even a quick-logged shot has something to show. • Flow control. If your machine lets you dial the pump up and down, your shots get a flow control field that carries through Repeat, your saved recipes and comparison. • Purchase dates on bags. Bags now have a purchase date alongside the roast date, so a stock-up month reads honestly in your cost tracker. • Easier to find. Pre-infusion, temperature, pressure, grind time and TDS were hidden behind an unlabelled section in the shot form. It now says what is inside it. • Tap a point in a bean's Journey to open that shot. • Fixes. A tidier share card, and restoring a large backup with photos no longer risks leaving shots without their beans. • Wind Down now reads deep sleep. Caffeine's clearest effect on sleep is that it cuts into deep sleep, and it does that on nights when the total barely moves. Your Caffeine and Sleep card now reads sleep stages and how long you took to fall asleep, so it can tell you whether a later coffee is costing you deep sleep or keeping you awake longer. • Caffeine and HRV. A new card compares your heart rate variability on lower and higher caffeine days. It waits for a few weeks of data before drawing any comparison, and says plainly when something other than coffee is the likelier explanation. Needs a watch worn overnight. ### 2.1.1 — 2026-07-17 Here's whats new in this version. Thanks for helping make the app better! A bean's Journey now uses the same grind size and rating history charts you get in Stats, scoped to a single bag, so you can follow one bag from first pull to last. Added Mocha to the drink list, and the whole list is now in alphabetical order. Bags of a kilo or more now read as 1kg rather than 1000g. Fixed the maintenance due date so it can be cleared, letting you be reminded by shot count alone. Jarvis messages can now be swiped away. Fixed a few little bugs in the back end. ### 2.1 — 2026-07-11 Version 2.1 connects Puck Yeah to Apple Health and refines the feel of the whole app, on top of a long list of fixes. WIND DOWN, WITH APPLE HEALTH (iOS) Puck Yeah now works with Apple Health, both ways, and it is the biggest thing in this update. Write your caffeine to Health. With your permission, every shot's caffeine is written into Apple Health as dietary caffeine, at the time you pulled it, so your coffee finally sits alongside the rest of your health data. Turning it on backfills your existing shots too. See how coffee affects your rest. By reading your sleep and resting heart rate back in, Puck Yeah can connect your caffeine to how you actually slept. A Caffeine and Sleep card lays each day's intake next to how long you slept. A Caffeine and Resting Heart Rate card compares your resting heart rate on normal days against your caffeine-heavy ones. And a bedtime advisor learns your usual bedtime from Apple Sleep and warns you when an afternoon or evening shot will still be working through your system when your head hits the pillow, with an estimate of how much is still active. A REFINED LOOK AND FEEL The design has been refined from top to bottom. Cards, charts, rings and badges are cleaner and more consistent, with one clear accent per card so nothing competes for your eye. The achievement badges have been fully redrawn, headers now use a subtle frosted glass as content scrolls beneath them, and your gear page leads with photos of your actual setup. Tapping a bean now smoothly grows into its full page, and the animations are calmer everywhere, moving only when a value has genuinely changed rather than every time a screen appears. The home screen widgets have had the same tidy-up. Everything is where you left it, it just feels sharper. A TIDIER LAYOUT Jarvis has moved out of the bottom bar and into the header as a spark, with a dot when it has a new insight, so it is always a tap away without crowding your navigation. If you keep Jarvis off, the Dial-In Compass fills that slot as before, and you can now hide the Compass entirely from Settings. On a bean's page, Pull a shot is now the main action and prefills the wizard with your last recipe for that coffee. BREW STRAIGHT FROM FROZEN Frozen bags now appear right in the bean picker marked with a snowflake, and logging a shot against one thaws the bag for you and resumes its freshness clock from where it left off. No more thawing a bag by hand just to pick it, and frozen beans get a clear Thaw button on their own page too. SMOOTHER TO USE Edge-swipe from the left to go back on any screen now, including inner pages like a bean's detail and your profile sections, not just the main tabs. A new Pull a shot quick action on the app icon starts logging straight from your home screen. Jarvis keeps an eye on your cleaning and maintenance and lets you mark a job done in a single tap, and you can tap any day on the brewing heatmap to pull up that day's shots. FIXES AND RELIABILITY This release hardens your data and squashes a long list of bugs. Backups no longer risk stripping your photos if storage is briefly busy, imports check every write and roll back cleanly so a failed restore can never leave you with half your data, and photos have moved into their own store so they stop filling up space. We also fixed shot cards blanking mid-swipe on iOS, the Feature Request form losing focus as you typed, maintenance reminders that never fired, caffeine landing on the wrong day in some timezones, grind advice pointing the wrong way on inverted grinders, and more. Switch beans and your last recipe for that exact coffee loads automatically, not just your most recent shot. • Choose your currency. Set your currency symbol for bag prices and cost stats, from dollars to euros, pounds, yen and more. • Blend-friendly processing. Record two processing methods on a single coffee, like Natural and Washed or Honey and Anaerobic. • One bag or all bags. On a coffee you have bought more than once, view a single bag's shots and stats or the whole history with a tap. • Group your older bags. Link a bag you added separately into the same coffee so all its bags and shots sit together. • More accurate caffeine.
