## What is Pull?

Pull is a focus timer that closes your distracting apps until the session ends,
and learns how long you can actually concentrate so you stop guessing at
twenty-five minutes.

It shows you that session as an espresso shot. Set your dose — the length you
believe you can concentrate for — and pull. The shot renders live, and nothing on the screen is decorative. The stream
thins and pales as the puck gives up. Crema builds on the surface and holds. Run
far past your dose and the stream blondes to straw, because that is what
over-extraction looks like. Stop short and it is sour.

Pick up your phone and the puck channels. The stream splits, the crema tears,
and the tear stays for the rest of the shot and afterwards, on your wall.

If you have used a pomodoro timer, this is the same shape of thing with one
difference that matters: the length is yours rather than a fixed twenty-five.

MATCH YOUR DOSE TO YOUR REAL ATTENTION SPAN
Twenty-five minutes came off a paperback in the 1980s. It is not your number.
Pull watches your clean sessions and reads back the dose you can actually hold —
and tells you honestly when your history is too scattered to call one yet.

THE WALL
Every shot you have ever pulled, kept. Day, week, month and year are one
continuous object at four zooms: cups on lit shelves, in the colour they came
out. A god shot lights its own rim. A dumped one lies on its side and stains the
board, at the same size as a good one, permanently.

The extraction is drawn from live session state, sixty times a second. The
pressure trace under the timer is the real curve. The gauge reads the real
number. If the picture changes, something changed.
