### 5/5 — Group Director Prehospital Services

*2021-03-01, version 11.5.0*

Brandon Means and Kate Leatherby’s team are exceptional partners to our community. They are available, responsive , and are good communicators and problem solvers.

### 5/5 — CC RN

*2021-02-25, version 11.5.0*

We use this app for all inpatients activations of several services! A phenomenal platform!

### 5/5 — The critical link in healthcare

*2021-02-25*

Those who are truly interested in improving healthcare and understand the importance of rapid, connected communication in the healthcare field will see this as a solution they have been looking for. Excellent customer service and their staff are mission driven to improve the communication between providers and systems which results in more rapid accurate care for patients.

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2021-02-16*

I knew Pulsara would impact our workflow from the moment I saw it. I brought Pulsara to my organization, but now I’m an active user on the direct care side. The power of Pulsara is real. When communication is directed through one channel, focused on the patient, care is improved - not only in speed, but in safety as well. Cataloging the communication steps clear through the cases identifies opportunities for improvement along the way. Change is hard - but let me tell you from first hand experience after now using Pulsara, this tool has the power to improve patient care in numerous ways. Last but certainly not least - the Pulsara team makes themselves available to you essentially around the clock (and I’m not talking about the technically support number). I’m looking forward to being part of witnessing how this communication platform continues to improve patient and care giver experience! Thank you Pulsara!

### 5/5 — RN-EMS

*2021-02-05, version 11.4.0*

The customer service is outstanding. They are quick to respond with any issues and work with us to to accommodate our needs

### 5/5 — No more game of “Telephone”

*2021-02-05*

Unite your entire team on the call, no more paramedic calls base station, base calls the attending, attending calls the cardiologist, cardiologist calls the Cath team. The entire team gets the information at the same time, we can all see the EKG or import images from our PAX. Improves QI/QA and provides feedback to our medics after they have left the building. Streamlines the transfer process. This allows us to have “eyes in the field” help the crew troubleshoot an alarming vent. Communicate face to face with your patients. Our hospital when we started the process was using a paging system from the 1980’s to alert our teams. This is the future of patient care.

### 5/5 — Trauma Module

*2021-02-04*

We have had great success with the use of the Trauma Module! We have seen significant improvements in our overall patient care and resource management. The Pulsara Team has been a joy to work with and really do listen to the feedback and suggestions given! I won’t name drop but the Customer Service Specialist for the West is phenomenal! 😁

### 5/5 — Complete paradigm advancement in communication

*2021-02-03*

We have been with Pulsara in our medical community for years. Although we started only using it for CVA and STEMI, we are now evolving to utilize Pulsara as our primary source of prehospital, EMS-hospital, Medical Control, and provider-patient communication. Pulsara is a wholistic platform that allows us to catapult into the next generation of systems of care and team communication. All hospital systems and EMS agencies in our 750,000+ population region are on board! Will no doubt be one of the top medical associates advancements in my career time.

### 5/5 — Game changing for teams, patients, and providers

*2021-01-28, version 11.4.0*

Best customer support of any app I have ever used. The product just works like it is supposed to right out of the Box.

### 4/5 — Works well

*2020-12-29*

Good communication tool, great way to notify a group of people all at once.
Would benefit from Apple Watch app so we don’t have to carry phone when on call.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2020-04-29*

Our hospital was one of the first to get this product and have seen it go through it’s many facelifts. We started out using it just for STEMI but have expanded to now using all the options and we love it, especially now that you can schedule your call shift! This feature is especially great for our Surgery crew we use it for general call to call them an after hours emergency case!

### 5/5 — Incredible app for coordinating care

*2020-04-01*

This app is fantastic. It has improved our door to balloon times, door to intervention in stroke, and continues to offer up-to-date solutions to help coordinate care for more and more pts. Looking forward to trying the pulsara patient platform during this Covid-19 crisis. Pulsara is an extremely helpful adjunctive tool!

### 5/5 — Pulsara Use

*2019-07-29*

We implemented in all of one country EMS system and 4 hospitals. Being such a large implementation was not without problems. The improved communication far out ways any problems. It has been a little over a year and major players are loving it. Company is very responsive to improvement feedback and ongoing assistance.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Goes off even when off call

*2023-10-16, version 40.6782*

I’ll have my call status as off and yet it continues to go off after shift waking me up after being up for 24hrs.

Unacceptable. Do NOT download!!!

### 1/5 — Can't use as app.

*2018-05-28, version 8.1.1*

Can't use app unless have device

### 1/5 — Problem app; Needs improvements

*2017-11-08*

Unable to turn off after call is over unless the next person on call turns on their app and signs in. Poor and unsafe app. Either you get notifications when not on call or you end up deleting the app when not on call. This dumb app won’t let you turn off your availability after call is over ... so expect to be paged in the middle of the night when not covering. The developers haven’t thought this through. Imagine multiple hospitals on call and trying to shut off pulsara for each one...

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.

It sounds like you are a member of team that is required to be ‘on-call.’ This setting is customizable and if appropriate, can be disabled by the Pulsara administrator at your facility. It is likely that your hospital enabled this feature as a safety net to ensure that at least one team member is on call to receive notification of the incoming emergencies.

If you find that this scenario isn’t applicable for your use of the application, please contact our Customer Support team at help@pulsara.com or 1-877-903-5642 x3. We will gladly assist you and your Pulsara administrator with updating your team settings. Kind regards, Pulsara Client Services

### 1/5 — We have to use this app at work.

*2017-06-28, version 6.1.0*

This app is pretty useful in terms of code 2 calls. I hate having to use it for code 3 calls. I have other stuff to do instead of trying to type things out. Like intubating or other useful things. I hate having to use this app and would prefer if we didn't have to use it.

### 2/5 — Just terrible

*2025-04-24, version 59.7342*

First login stopped working, cannot create a second as requested. In theory it seems alright but in practice just a frustrating and useless app. Second star is to allow for it to get worse and re-rate lower.

### 2/5 — Notifications

*2023-12-20, version 42.6864*

Poor notification management for Apple Watch integration. Even on mute will continue to notify. Very bothersome when on a run, or in a movie theatre. Unable to figure out how to stop the relay without hampering notifications on the phone.

### 2/5 — Multiple agency credentialing

*2023-05-13*

I do enjoy this app but I’m deterred from using it to its fullest potential because of the lack of the ability to switch between agencies easily. I have to log out of one agency and log back into another, sometimes on the fly, and remembering the usernames and password’s for both is never easy! Try to do that with a high acuity call and forget it!!! This kind of single log in/multiple agent application is done with I am responding and it makes it really easy to switch between agencies and individual calls. I will keep using the radio for my hospital reports until this is fixed.

### 2/5 — Not great

*2019-08-11*

This app is being forced on our anesthesia group. The interface is cluncky. It desperately needs the ability to schedule call shifts, otherwise you have to remember to log in first thing every morning and update your call status. The worst and even scariest thing is that the alert isn’t tied to ringer volume but instead your media volume. This means if you use your phone for anything other than call it will be very easy to not get a call because your media volume wasn’t left on max ( because who does that).

**Developer response:** Thank you for your Pulsara review.
As a platform whose development is driven by our end users, we value your opinion and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us.
In addition to end user call status management, Pulsara supports call status management by Pulsara Facility Administrators via the Pulsara Admin Dashboard. We are also pleased to inform you that we are working on improvements for managing call status. We would love the opportunity to connect and give you a sneak peak of what is to come.
Regarding the volume of your notification, Critical Alerts can be enabled for Pulsara. This setting allows the Pulsara notification to loudly sound even when a device's volume is set to low, vibrate, silent, or Do Not Disturb mode. Feel free to reach out to our Client Services team at help@pulsara.com to connect with our team and enable this setting. We look forward to hearing from you.

### 3/5 — Basic IOS functions

*2020-05-06*

Please enable unlocking the app with Face ID. Many other 3rd party apps allow for this as opposed to using a passcode. Needs more granular control over alerts. It's annoying to have to open the app everytime a minor update occurs on a patient when many alerts are that useless information has been added.

**Developer response:** Thank you, rkellogg9, for taking the time to leave a review. Input from customers like you is what shapes our application. We have submitted your feedback to our product team and would like to encourage you to continue sharing your feedback via www.pulsara.com/feedback.
In the meantime, we want to make you aware of a couple of features that may alleviate the annoyance that you are experiencing.
As of October 2020, Pulsara users have a PIN grace period of 5 minutes. This will allow you to navigate away from and back to the application without reentering your PIN as long as your last activity occurred within the 5-minute window.
Regarding many alerts, Pulsara users have the ability to silence secondary alerts. Review this page for more information on silencing secondary alerts: https://www.pulsara.com/blog/pulsara-releases-version-10.6-including-the-fast-ed-stroke-scale-and-ability-to-silence-secondary-alerts-press-release

### 4/5 — PULSARA IMPROVES PATIENT CARE!

*2021-03-15*

As the Physician Medical Director for a large urban EMS system and its surrounding rural county EMS agencies I can attest that PULSARA improves patient care.
The ability to seamlessly connect all relevant patient care participants in a streamlined efficient communication platform that begins right from patient contact with EMS is an impressive and powerful tool for improving patient care.
In my city and healthcare systems we currently use Pulsara to activate STEMI/Stroke alerts from the field allowing our registration, ER, neurology, radiology, and Neuro-interventional teams to activate cath labs, CT protocols, etc. The entire patient continuum of care team is aware of the patient within minutes of EMS arrival. This ensures that the appropriate patients have Cardiac Cath Lab activations(cardiology review EKG before arrival to ER), neurology at bedside on arrival to ER(expidited tpa decisions), CT imaging, and Neuro interventional available upon arrival to the hospital.
We have drastically improved our door to needle times in these time sensitive critically ill patients.

If your EMS agency, community, or hospital healthcare system struggles with communication between the EMS teams in the field and the hospital based care teams you should give PULSARA a look!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Game changer!

*2024-06-26, version 49.7034*

This app has completely revolutionized how we as prehospital providers communicate with receiving facilities.

### 5/5 — Game Changer

*2021-06-18*

Being new to the stroke program in my institution I didn’t have any experience with Pulsara before jumping off the deep end. This tool is so amazing at keeping the entire care team up to date with the patient condition, treatment decisions, and the overall plan. Messaging to inform the team of changes in condition or plans that go out to all members at once?! Life changing! No longer am I copying messages and sending to staff members. Treatment times have improved since implementation and I am so grateful for this having this tool in my back pocket (literally) to help change patients lives. The customer service team is always available to help navigate changes in the tool and answer any question I have.

### 5/5 — Fixed communication problems

*2021-03-15*

Pulsara has completely streamlined the communication process for my hospital. Especially when alerting my on call teams for emergencies. A great product that is saving patients massive amounts of time to treatment. An even better team to work with, and really get the big picture.

### 5/5 — Pulsara :A professional & personal “save”

*2021-03-15*

As a stroke program manager I helped institute Pulsara at a metropolitan medical center outside of Portland Oregon. Our “stats” instantly rocketed to success in door to needle and Cath Lab for brain & heart.... then ... about 8 months later.. in an evening gathering, my significant other complained
“ I don’t feel good”... long story short.. we called 911 who immediately transmitted his EKG (tombstone Ts) via Pulsara to the appropriate team members at the medical center... our 10 minute trip to ED had the perfect team necessary to get him into the Cath Lab within 33 minutes of arrival .. where he received 6 stents. Today over 3 years later- we enjoy canoeing, gardening, rebuilding old “stuff” & enjoying life. I can truly say Pulsara delivers what they advertise & set the stage of great outcomes.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2021-03-11, version 11.5.0*

Made a huge different to our ambulance operations!

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2021-03-09, version 11.5.0*

Pulsara is a must have app for EMS agencies and hospital personnel that want to enable bidirectional communication between EMS and hospital teams. It will drastically reduce time to treatment in time sensitive emergencies (CVA, STEMI, sepsis) by combining all need to know patient information on one platform for all teams.

### 5/5 — Can’t live without it!

*2021-03-09*

We’ve used Pulsara for stroke at our organization for about 4 years. Recently we’ve expanded use to our sister hospitals. It has become like an information superhighway. The amount of time saved and the linear nature of the communication allows us to provide care in an efficient manner. I can not imagine going back to pagers, calls and nightmares to communicate during a potential endovascular case. Our Pulsara rep is FABULOUS, always there when we have questions or suggestions for improvement!

### 5/5 — Vast Improvement in Patient Outcomes

*2021-03-09*

Our hospital system and EMS agencies began using this app years ago. Since Pulsara has been implemented, we have seen vast improvements in patient outcomes. From time time the case is activated from EMS through the final disposition, door to balloon and door to needle times have dropped 30-40%! The streamlined communication offered through the app allows all members of the team to see real time updates regarding the patient and can better tailor the treatment for the patients. The app also allows all members of the team to have closure on what occurred with this patient. The Cardiologists in our system now rely on this app for all patient cases and communication. Also, the customer service for Pulsara is fantastic! They are always quick to reply and assist with any situation! Pulsara has been amazing for our organization as well as our patients and community!

### 5/5 — Pulsara = Great Product!

*2021-03-09*

As the EMS coordinator for a busy/urban EMS agency, we are often approached about the “newest and best” thing on the market. After looking at Pulsara, we felt this technology would suit us well, and fill a communication void that we had in our system. Pulsara has delivered and streamlined patient care between the EMS units and the receiving ED’s. This has decreased times in cardiac and stroke patients, thus providing better patient care. Additionally, Pulsara staff have always been accessible and quick to respond!

### 5/5 — This is the future of communication in the medical field

*2021-03-05, version 11.5.0*

We are behind the curve with this communication technology. It’s time to step into the future with Pulsara.
