## What is Pulse?

Pulse is not a health tracker for couples. It is a private layer between how your body feels and how your partner shows up.

Your Apple Watch and iPhone already notice the quiet things: lighter sleep, a heavier day, energy coming back. Pulse compares today against your own recent weeks, on your phone, and turns the difference into one small, human sentence for the person you love, like "A calm evening might mean a lot today", along with one concrete way to be there: send some love, suggest something gentle, give a little space.

Your partner gets the meaning. Never the measurement.

HOW THE LOOP WORKS

1. Your body changes. Pulse notices a deviation from your own baseline, not from a population average. A resting heart rate that is normal for one person is unusual for another, so there is no shared threshold anywhere in the app.
2. Pulse understands the context. Your sleep, recovery and activity are read together, and the reading says how sure it is. A soft guess is called a soft guess.
3. Your partner gets one sentence and one gesture. Never a number, never a chart, never a diagnosis. Their card offers a warm tap, a tuned suggestion, or a quiet "give them space".
4. The next morning, Pulse asks you: did how they showed up help? One tap. Your answer goes only to your partner, only as one of four words, and it is what teaches Pulse which gestures actually land for the two of you.

WHY COUPLES TRUST PULSE

- One cue a day, gone by midnight. There is no archive and no chart of your partner's body. Pulse tells you how to be there for them today, then gets out of the way.
- Your raw health data never leaves your phone. Heart rate, sleep hours, steps: your partner never sees the numbers, and neither do we. Everything is interpreted on your device.
- It learns your baseline, not someone else's. A few days of history is enough for a first reading, and it grows more assured on its own.
- It sounds like you, not like an app. In Know Us, write down what actually helps on a hard day and what is better left alone. Your partner reads it in your own words, and Pulse weaves one line of it into the moment it matters. Nothing there is ever guessed.
- You can simply say it. Ask for affection, a hug, time together or a little space, without having to find the words for it, and see when they are on it.
- A private space for just the two of you. Chat, playful gestures, photos and GIFs, and your shared "Our story" timeline, protected with end-to-end encryption. The keys stay in your iCloud Keychain, so nobody else can read a word. Not even us.
- You stay in control, always. Every kind of sharing is a separate switch. Pause instantly, go invisible for a while, or end the connection and every shared record is deleted.
- Cycle aware, entirely on your terms. Optional Rhythm Awareness gently shapes the tone of your cues without ever naming the phase. Sharing your real cycle calendar is a separate, deliberate choice, off by default.
- Unusual moments are yours to share, or not. If Pulse notices a short window of unusual heart signals, nothing is sent unless you approve that exact moment.
- Built for Apple Watch. Your partner's day at a glance, a one-tap "thinking of you", a mood check-in and a morning summary, right on your wrist.

AND THE LIFE YOU KEEP TOGETHER

A shared shopping list, a watchlist, a wishlist, a shared calendar, a date to plan, and the day you count from, with a quiet celebration on the anniversary.

No account to create, ever. Pulse uses the iCloud you are already signed into, and your chat, timeline and settings are waiting on a new iPhone. Health data is never part of that backup.

Pulse is a wellness companion, not a medical device. Its cues are gentle estimates, not diagnoses, and they always leave room for the context only you know. Every health concept in the app is backed by a cited, reputable source.

Made in Vienna by two people who got tired of guessing.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6.0 — 2026-09-18

Pulse now closes the loop.

The morning after a cue about you crossed, Pulse asks you one question: did how they showed up help? One tap, four honest answers. Your partner sees only that, as one line the next morning, and it is what teaches Pulse which gestures actually land for the two of you. A suggestion that keeps not landing retires on its own; a partner who says space helps gets space offered first.

The cue is the point of the app, so it now leads Home: right after anything your partner asked you for, above reactions and nudges. Know Us sits beside it, and the lists moved down.

Home's header is the same bar every other screen has now, so nothing sits in a dark band at the top.

If you are in different time zones, you can share your local time. Only the time zone crosses, never your location, and it stays off until you turn it on.

And Pulse is built for the newest iPhone and Apple Watch software.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-09-15

The watch app is new.

Answer your messages from your wrist, with a quick reply or your voice. Tick things off the shared shopping list while you are still standing in the shop. Check in on your mood and your social battery, see what is coming up, and read back through your story.

Complications, too, for the first time: how you are and how they are, right there on your watch face.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-09-10

A small round of visual polish, including a couple of glass surfaces that now sit fully transparent like the rest of the app, plus stability improvements.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-08-31

Know Us is the heart of this one. Write down what you love, what actually helps on a hard day, and what's better left alone. Your partner reads it in your own words, and Pulse leans on it so a nudge sounds like you instead of like an app. Nothing in there is ever guessed.

There's a shared watchlist now, for the films, series, books and music you two keep meaning to get to. The shopping list grew up as well: clothes, beauty, health and tech have their own place, you can read the list in whatever order suits you, and pasting a product link shows the picture, so your partner knows exactly what you meant.

Home opens with a quiet hello and a line about how their day is going, and everything you share sits one tap from their circle in the corner. A wordless gesture now leaves a small mark in the thread instead of a bubble. On iOS 26 the whole app picked up the new glass, so what passes behind a bar stays visible through it. And Pulse has spoken Arabic and Russian for a while, so the App Store finally says so too.

### 1.3.3 — 2026-08-28

Cycle tracking goes further now, and it's entirely your choice how far. Log your period day by day right in Pulse, flow and symptoms included, instead of relying only on an Apple Watch, and it stays just as accurate without one.

Want your partner to actually know instead of just sensing a gentler week? Turn on sharing your period and cycle calendar. They'll see your real phase, period days and predicted days on their own device, only if you turn it on. Turning it off clears their calendar right away, and whatever you log always stays on your device regardless.

Logged days can sync back to Apple Health too, if you already use Sync from Apple Health for your cycle.
