## What is Pulse Dive?

Pulse Dive - Neon Arcade Endless Faller

One thumb. One rule. Fall forever.

You are a pulsing orb plunging down an endless neon abyss. HOLD to expand - grow
wide to ease your fall, and shatter neon glass. RELEASE to compress - go small and
dense, and slip through the obsidian gaps. Get it backwards and it's over. That's
the whole game, and it's harder to put down than it sounds.

No timers, no forced logins, no walls. Just a clean, fast, one-handed descent
tuned to run at a silky 60 frames per second.

WHY YOU'LL KEEP DIVING

• Pure one-thumb control anyone can pick up in a second
• Expand vs. compress - a simple mechanic with real depth
• A living neon world: shattering glass, obsidian apertures, violet lattices
• Legendary vessels to earn - from the Astral Ray to the Celestial Koi to the Dragon
• Modules to master: Quantum Shield, Time Dilation, Geodesic Snap
• A global leaderboard - post your deepest dive against the world

LEARN AS YOU FALL

Pulse Dive is quietly a STEM game. Every day brings a new Astrophysics Fact Of
The Day and a five-question Daily Quiz, drawn from a pool grounded in NASA, ESA,
and textbook astrophysics. Answer three of five correctly to earn shard rewards -
and pick up a little real cosmology on the way down. A Science Sources list is
available in Settings for anyone who wants to check the references.

PLAYS ANYWHERE

Pulse Dive is fully playable offline. On a plane, on the subway, in a dead zone -
the entire game, leaderboard fallback included, keeps working. Nothing to
download mid-game, nothing to wait for.

FAIR BY DESIGN

Every upgrade, vessel, and theme can be earned by playing. Rewarded video ads are
completely optional and player-initiated - watch one for bonus shards, or don't.
Respects reduced-motion settings, portrait one-hand play, and your time.

Grow. Compress. Descend. How deep can you go?

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-10-04

New hazards. Deeper drops. A bigger Science Lab.

THE DIVE
----------------------------------------------------------------
• Nebula clouds from level 20. They thicken the void and drag hardest on an expanded orb.
• Black holes from level 30. They pull you sideways. Stay compressed to skim past the horizon.
• Every level now asks for a deeper drop than the last.
• Thick obsidian slabs are slimmer, at the same spacing.

SCIENCE LAB
----------------------------------------------------------------
• The Lab now opens on a live orbit map of the planets, moving at their real relative periods.
• Solar System Lab: all eight planets plus a Hot Jupiter, and an Expand view of the whole system on one shared clock.
• Wien's law: slide a star from 2,400 K to 40,000 K and watch its peak and its colour shift. Betelgeuse, the Sun and Rigel are one tap away.
• Compress Earth: squeeze the planet down to its Schwarzschild radius, 8.87 mm, and watch escape speed climb to the speed of light.
• Terminal velocity: an orb falls in real time beside its exact speed curve. Try a skydiver, then a baseball.
• Mastery bars now shine as you progress.

LOOK AND FEEL
----------------------------------------------------------------
• Sharper everywhere: up to 3× native pixel density on iPhone and iPad.
• Rankings get glass crests for the top three and show how far you've moved since your last look.
• The PULSE DIVE sign now breathes like a real neon tube (it stays still with reduced motion on).
• iPad stays in portrait, so rotating no longer disturbs the screen.

### 1.3 — 2026-10-02

What's New in Pulse Dive 1.3 (Build 39):

• Solar System Perturbation Lab: Explore how planetary systems respond to change. Adjust orbital distance, planet mass, and host star luminosity in real time to observe effects on orbital period, equilibrium temperature, Hill spheres, and Roche tidal limits.
• Equivalence Principle Testing: Toggle the equivalence of gravitational and inertial mass to see how universal free-fall physics holds our solar system together.
• Permanent Navigation Dock: Quick, unified access across all screens to Dive, Missions, Science Hub, Hangar, and Settings.
• Visual & Tactile Polish: Rebalanced global leaderboard interface, richer interactive feedback on daily claims and progression milestones, and enhanced vessel detail.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-27

A new Science Lab, real physics you can drive yourself, and an honest dive readout.

SCIENCE LAB

The daily quiz was buried two taps deep under Mastery, which was the wrong place for it. There is now a Science Lab on the main menu holding the daily quiz, the new Gravity Lab and the full source list in one screen, with a dot when the quiz is waiting for you.

GRAVITY LAB

Set a mass and a distance and watch Newton's law of universal gravitation solve live. It works out orbital velocity and period, escape velocity, tidal acceleration and the Roche limit, then shows its answers next to the published ones so you can check the arithmetic yourself. Kepler's third law is run across all eight planets. The Moon's tide on Earth, Saturn's rings and the Earth-Moon Roche limit all land where the literature says they should.

A MORE HONEST READOUT

The in-dive physics numbers were tuned for feel rather than accuracy. The drag model has been rescaled so mass, density, terminal velocity and drag coefficient are real quantities in real units, and the game now says plainly where it is a stylised arcade model rather than a simulation.

SOURCES

The source list used to cover the 61 facts. It now covers all 151 facts and quiz questions, grouped by topic, so every claim in the app can be traced to a published NASA, ESA, IAU, LIGO or Event Horizon Telescope reference.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-24

A home screen widget, a much deeper science pool, and a way to say thanks.

WIDGET
The Astrophysics Fact of the Day now lives on your home screen and lock
screen. It shows the fact and the source it came from, changes at midnight,
and works with no account and no network.

MORE SCIENCE
The fact pool grew from 24 entries to 61, and the quiz from 48 questions to
90. Before this, a daily fact came back around every 24 days. Every new fact
and question is sourced from published NASA, ESA, IAU, LIGO or Event Horizon
Telescope references, and you can read the full list under Settings > Fact
sources.

TIP JAR
Entirely optional, and it unlocks nothing. The whole game is already yours.
If Pulse Dive is worth something to you, there is now a way to say so.
